during our check out we got the information from airline our flight was cancelled. We feel very anxious since we don’t have any further information about our updated schedule when we send our enquiries to airlines online chatting system and just waiting……. The staff of the 22 Hill Hotel Miss ELFA she gave me a great help.She using her own mobile helped us to phone to the airline directly and let us fixed the air ticket issue. I really appreciated for her help and hope all the best to her and her colleagues

Room was very clean, good size and comfortable furniture, if all a little basic. The rooms were cleaned and made up daily. The buffet breakfast was very good with a wide variety of options to choose from. The restaurant attached to the hotel was first class. We ate there 4 nights and the food was delicious, interesting and beautifully presented. It was also a decent price (for Iceland) and the staff were very helpful - pre booking advised as it gets busy.

The blackout blinds in the room could have been better, as its all day daylight in June. Apart from that, nothing. People do need to be aware that some substantial demolition and building work is taking place on a site opposite and there could be noise. It didn't bother us as we were up and out early, but anyone hoping for a quiet lie-in may be disappointed!

The breakfast buffet had a nice variety. There was an opportunity to park in a couple of spots in front of the hotel and more spots available across the street for free. If those are not available, then there are metered spots available, but they sent us instructions and a YouTube video in advance, so it was easy to figure out. The room was clean and quiet. We were only here for one night at the beginning of our trip and one night at the end, so didn’t spend much time here.

The room could use an update. The flooring is carpet and seemed worn. The bathroom shower was very small and the sliding doors were sticky in the tracks. The wood / pressboard facade under the sink in both rooms that we stayed in was falling apart. When we checked in during our second stay, the person working the front desk didn’t actually give us our room number with the code. She looked at us and said ‘check your booking.com messages, the room number and code should be there’. Not exactly top notch customer service…

Breakfast was excellent good variety, fresh food. The room was compact but it was clean and the bed was comfortable. The reception staff are fantastic. We found the location fine as we don't mind walking and there are electric scooters which are easy to hire. In any case you can reach cafe's and restaurants in 10 mins. walking. Tours offer pick up and drop off from the hotel. We had a very early flight so they provided a packed breakfast.

The room was very warm, when we opened the window the noise from the street of passing traffic was a little irritating in the morning, but it was quiet later in the night. The hanging rail was directly over a set of drawers meaning my long coat was resting on the drawers so I moved the drawers over when I was there. A small drink would have been nice with the packed breakfast.

Everything about our stay was excellent and exceeded all of our expectations. The hotel is immaculately clean, the room was bigger than we expected and the location was perfect with a short stroll to the centre. An extra bonus was the stunning views of the mountains. Also, the breakfast had a huge selection with delicious homemade bread and all the staff were super friendly and extremely helpful.

There are beautiful views of the mountains from the front of the hotel, but we didn't realise the views would be that good and did not request a room with a view. As a result, we got the room facing the rear. Next time, we will definitely ask for a room with a view.

Great breakfast and staff was really friendly and helpful! Beds were super comfy! The indoor pickup for all our tours was great especially when we didn't have to wait outdoors for the tour bus when it was rainy and cold.

The bathroom was a bit small. Especially the shower. Location is good but it's a bit further away from.the downtown main attractions and restaurants.

I loved this hotel. Albert and all the other members of staff are brilliant. So friendly and helpful. Room was fabulous and the coffee/tea facilities are on every corridor for you to use. Restaurant was really good and food delicious. Breakfast delicious too. My fiancé became ill on the last night and he called the hospital for me and gave them his number to call us back. The lady with blond hair and glasses on called the ambulance for us. All the staff are very efficient, smartly dressed and present themselves very well. Thank you to all the staff.😘

There is nothing not to like here.

The hotel was close to restaurants and in a good walking distance to everything in Reykjavik. We could see the mountains and the fjord from our room. The pick-up for tours was right in front of the hotel. Everything was well organized and on time! Abby was especially friendly and gave us useful advice for the must sees and about the aurora forecast. It was a very pleasant and friendly stay, we are planning on coming back to iceland!

Maybe there could also be hot chocolate at the coffee station.

Location was close enough to walk to the town center (about 20min). The nice restaurant next to the hotel and closeby Dominos made our stay easy. Breakfast is good enough, try the same place for dinner as well. All excursions recognize the hotel and offer pick up service from there, which was great.

The room given to us was a small budget room even though we were supposed to get a double room. Also, the people at reception were not most helpful. Not because they were rude, I think it is more like a cultural thing, you need to push them a little to get things done.

There was a problem with our room but Abby at reception went above and beyond to put things right. She arranged for us to stay in an Airbnb, which was actually really nice because we got more privacy on our honeymoon. Although we were much further out of town than originally planned, we were on a bus route (buses are really easy to use with the KLAPPIÐ app) and got to see more of the residential side of Reykjavik.
