The room was a good size and clean, the bed was comfy, and the staff were great. The breakfast buffet offered good variety of food, and the coffee was nice.

My only recommendation is to increase the selection of room service options. It happened that I was really tired and I wanted to order from the room service menu, but the only options were soup and salad, so I had to go out. It will be great if there are better meal options for hungry and tired travellers. Also, there was a comfusion with the brunch time. The note in the elevator said it starts at 11.30h, but it turned out to be noon.

The Staff was super helpful. And courteous. And professional. The room with the balcony was quite nice, though all the construction around impeded the overall view.

No Cupboard. That's the least you need. It did have a open clothes hanger, but that's not ever nearly as good enough as having a cupboard. The Coffee Shop wud close at 5pm. Coffee Shops inside hotels ought to be open till late. Rooms quite expensive One section of the lifts wud shud down post 11pm (I think ) till about 7am. That's a terrible practice in a reputed hotel. In fact the day we were leaving, the lift did not start even at 7am.

Clean, modern and comfortable hotel, with cosy cafe and bar. Very helpful staff, particularly Clara who couldn't do enough to help us rearrange our cancelled tour. Location is very close to bus stop 15, the pick up point for many tours and airport transfer buses. Amazing pizza restaurant (Flatey) a stone's throw away from hotel.

My room (241) directly overlooked a building site, so loud banging and drilling started around 8am on weekdays. Recommend requesting a room on the other side of the hotel (reception end, rather than restaurant end) as the rest of my party weren't affected by this noise.

The industrial vibes of the hotel are very cool, and it's a perfect option to feel like you're staying somewhere a bit 'Scandi' with a nice design aesthetic. Reykjavik is walkable from here, and it's very close to the harbour for dinner/tours and the Saga Museum etc. It's also good that breakfast is available so early as I could eat before early tours and airport pickup.

The rooms in the annex (to the right of reception as you enter) are to be avoided. I asked to move after the first night as I realised that with the lights on, people walking past could see right into the room and I didn't feel comfortable with this since the rooms are relatively small and the beds next to the window (also it's a pain to have to keep the curtains closed for this reason when the nights are so long this time of year). The staff however were understanding and accommodating and found me a suitable alternative. I loved the second room and would happily book here again.

Great location in downtown Reykjavik - within easy walking distance of the harbour and several interesting attractions. Lovely staff. Comfortable rooms. A quiet, relaxed environment. Nice buffet breakfast with plenty of options to suit all palettes.

The sink was in the main room vs the bathroom (this isn't the case in all rooms). Also, the bathroom wasn't entirely separate to the main room (frosted glass door with a ~3-inch gap at the bottom of the doorframe). Two minor points, but may be off-putting to some visitors.

Grandi is centrally located within the city centre with the best food in Reykjavik is all within a 10-15 minute walk from Grandi. There is free street parking surrounding the hotel. It is highly recommended that you hire a car during your stay in Iceland and contact the hotel beforehand for car hire recommendations. Grandi is clean, with an exceptional breakfast, and friendly and helpful reception, restaurant and cleaning staff throughout. The rooms have great facilities, amenities, and heating . Highly recommend staying at Grandi when visiting Reykjavik.

Very friendly hotel. They are very used to people checking in early and / needing a place for baggage. I was able to check in very early without any problems, and there is a (free) locker system for you to store your bags if you have a late flight. Nice lobby to work in or relax if you are waiting for a flight or tour. Right near bus stop 15 - a pick up place for most tours and the hop on / hop off bus stops right by bus stop # 15 also. Plenty of restaurants and coffee shops nearby. Short walk to museums, whale watching etc. Perfect location!

Everything thing was great. This is a hotel I will recommend - and hope to stay at myself when I get a chance to return to Iceland.

This place is a gem. Staff are very welcoming, and helpful throughout. Room was a good size with amzing views over the whole city to Halmgrimskirkja on the horizon. Room has a fridge (to store the excess beer you bought in duty free when you landed!). Breakfast is very tasty, if a bit crowded. Bar is nice, with a happy hour. Its a great part of the city, its really changed in ten years, plenty of restaurants and museums are neaby and its worth noting a lot of the car hire rental companies are based around here (worth dropping your rental car off here instead of the airport, the rental companies dont charge extra, and it saves parking which is a bit scarce), and its only a ten minute walk to the centre

Stylish area past reception and lovely breakfast area too. GREAT selection of quality items at breakfast, thank you. Free parking just outside the hotel reception (one of the receptionists mentioned we could par 6pm-9am free but in fact, the spot we were in, directly on side of hotel, is no restriction on parkings so let guests know that as it is very useful). *** Location is GREAT - short walk to everything you need and many eating options too.

The fact that there isn't really privacy for the bathroom :( The door does not go to the floor, there's a big gap and you feel it is not totally private when going to the loo etc).

The location of the hotel is good, next to the port, with a lot of restaurants nearby and supermarkets. The staff was friendly, and the room was clean. Breakfast is nice, and there are lots of choices (eggs, bacon, beans, sweet pastry, cereal, really great bread, fish, e.t.c). Also, they have blackout curtains for those who are traveling in the summer.

The sink was on the hallway/room, and the bathroom had a glass door. This was inconvenient when others were sleeping because of the sink noise and glass door light. Also, there was a sewage smell in the bathroom. In June 2023, a construction site was just behind the hotel, and the drillings started at 8:30 every day.
