The room was a good size and clean, the bed was comfy, and the staff were great. The breakfast buffet offered good variety of food, and the coffee was nice.

My only recommendation is to increase the selection of room service options. It happened that I was really tired and I wanted to order from the room service menu, but the only options were soup and salad, so I had to go out. It will be great if there are better meal options for hungry and tired travellers. Also, there was a comfusion with the brunch time. The note in the elevator said it starts at 11.30h, but it turned out to be noon.

As we only stayed for one night, we could not fully appreciate all the facilities, but I can say for sure: the hotel is great. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Excellent breakfast. As everywhere in Iceland, very clean and tidy rooms. In any case, I can definitely recommend this hotel to the guests of Reykjavik. This was the first hotel on our winter trip around Iceland. And if the trip starts with such a good hotel, then everything else is great ...

There is nothing to dislike. Everything met expectations.

The Staff was super helpful. And courteous. And professional. The room with the balcony was quite nice, though all the construction around impeded the overall view.

No Cupboard. That's the least you need. It did have a open clothes hanger, but that's not ever nearly as good enough as having a cupboard. The Coffee Shop wud close at 5pm. Coffee Shops inside hotels ought to be open till late. Rooms quite expensive One section of the lifts wud shud down post 11pm (I think ) till about 7am. That's a terrible practice in a reputed hotel. In fact the day we were leaving, the lift did not start even at 7am.

Clean, modern and comfortable hotel, with cosy cafe and bar. Very helpful staff, particularly Clara who couldn't do enough to help us rearrange our cancelled tour. Location is very close to bus stop 15, the pick up point for many tours and airport transfer buses. Amazing pizza restaurant (Flatey) a stone's throw away from hotel.

My room (241) directly overlooked a building site, so loud banging and drilling started around 8am on weekdays. Recommend requesting a room on the other side of the hotel (reception end, rather than restaurant end) as the rest of my party weren't affected by this noise.

Hotel was very central to the old harbor and city center. Easy to get anywhere by foot. Our stay was great for a night. Excellent breakfast included, super friendly and attentive staff, clean and well sound proof rooms in modern 60's style. We enjoyed it. Concerning Price Value Ratio: We originally booked a Deluxe Room - yes, it was big but also felt a bit empty and too spacious for not too much interior and therefor also a bit uncozy. As the promised Bathtub and Sofa were missing we went back to the reception. Turned out we were given the wheelchair accessible room (in that respect a great room, by the way!). Got offered a different room which turned out to be the Junior Suite. Having seen both rooms our Feedback on Price Value is that if you look for a bed for a night in a cosy & stylish environment but don't need too much space rather take a normal room. If you are looking for a bit more lux, top it up and rather go for Deluxe & Balcony or Junior.

No Parking space for the Hotel and no hint where parking is possible. Found a parking space in the harbor tough. All the rest: absolutely nothing to criticize

The industrial vibes of the hotel are very cool, and it's a perfect option to feel like you're staying somewhere a bit 'Scandi' with a nice design aesthetic. Reykjavik is walkable from here, and it's very close to the harbour for dinner/tours and the Saga Museum etc. It's also good that breakfast is available so early as I could eat before early tours and airport pickup.

The rooms in the annex (to the right of reception as you enter) are to be avoided. I asked to move after the first night as I realised that with the lights on, people walking past could see right into the room and I didn't feel comfortable with this since the rooms are relatively small and the beds next to the window (also it's a pain to have to keep the curtains closed for this reason when the nights are so long this time of year). The staff however were understanding and accommodating and found me a suitable alternative. I loved the second room and would happily book here again.

Grandi is centrally located within the city centre with the best food in Reykjavik is all within a 10-15 minute walk from Grandi. There is free street parking surrounding the hotel. It is highly recommended that you hire a car during your stay in Iceland and contact the hotel beforehand for car hire recommendations. Grandi is clean, with an exceptional breakfast, and friendly and helpful reception, restaurant and cleaning staff throughout. The rooms have great facilities, amenities, and heating . Highly recommend staying at Grandi when visiting Reykjavik.

The rooms are spacious and clean. Decor is also stylish and not tacky. The staff are friendly and helpful with any questions we had. The breakfast offered at the hotel is great as well, a decent amount of food options. The location is fairly convenient, within walking distance of downtown Reykjavik. You can be picked up by transfer buses to the airport at Bus stop number 15, which is within 2 minutes of walking distance from the hotel, which is nice. There are a number of good restaurants nearby as well.

We were not aware that the hotel is still under construction at the time of our stay. Our hotel rooms (and all the other rooms plus the hotel lobby and breakfast area) basically look into a giant construction site, and we were awakened by noise from the construction early morning every day.

1. The service is excellent. The staff are very helpful and make an effort to make your travel hassle-free. 2. The location is not too far from the city centre, with the harbour and some restaurants nearby. 3. The facilities were very clean and appeared to be maintained well. 4. Price was reasonable.

1. My room was very dimly lit. I think having more lights in the room would be better. The bathroom was especially dull. 2. The bathroom sink was very small and there was no space to keep the toiletries. 3. The restaurant is a little on the expensive side, and the selection is limited. 4. If your tours starts from the other end of the city (bus stop 12 or BSI), it is a little far to walk.

This place is a gem. Staff are very welcoming, and helpful throughout. Room was a good size with amzing views over the whole city to Halmgrimskirkja on the horizon. Room has a fridge (to store the excess beer you bought in duty free when you landed!). Breakfast is very tasty, if a bit crowded. Bar is nice, with a happy hour. Its a great part of the city, its really changed in ten years, plenty of restaurants and museums are neaby and its worth noting a lot of the car hire rental companies are based around here (worth dropping your rental car off here instead of the airport, the rental companies dont charge extra, and it saves parking which is a bit scarce), and its only a ten minute walk to the centre
