As expected it was a beautiful hotel. Cozy, clean big rooms with huge bathrooms & so many snacks in the minibar.

The receptionists who were working during our check-in were very disrespectful. We had booked two rooms & one of them wasn't ready even though it was already after 3 pm. It was given to us after 2 hours. We wouldn't mind if they would have been communicating with us politely…

Staff were really friendly and welcoming and they were really helpful with everything. Location of the hotel is just perfect and the food is delicious.

We booked a room with a terrace which we didnt use because there was a construction sight as our view and felt that our privacy wasnt there

The breakfast was phenomenal! We aren't normally breakfast people and we were up every morning for the buffet! They did a wonderful job and it was well stocked with delicious items. The room was small, but the beds were very comfortable. We had 4 in our double queen room. It would have been fine for 2 people. Bathroom was a good size and the shower amenities were very nice.

Construction was right outside, but even that wasn't too loud. We were on the second floor and it was literally right outside our window and wasn't an issue. We weren't sleeping late either, but wasn't a problem. We even napped one day. Perfect location to get around downtown. Just outside the hustle and bustle so quiet and yet accessible to it all.

I like the cosy breakfast setting and the breakfast selection. The room was super comfortable with all the fur pieces. Most staffs are super friendly and warm. So glad we choose Edition on our last 2 days in Reykjavik! Definitely be back if I visit Iceland again!

The tone of a staff (a spanish guy)who speak to us when we stopped our car at the entrance. He corrected us that we cannot stop too near the hotel and should park further away for valet next time. I replied to him that we are checking out the next morning, so there won’t be a next time. Although the conversation got friendly after we got out of the car and he helped our bags into the room. I tipped him to appreciate his effort for the bags however, he could have speak more politely in the first place to make every guest feel welcome and warm.

The room with terrace had great views, attention to detail with finishes were second to none. Very upmarket experience and what you’d expect from a luxury hotel. The breakfast had a large spread that would be suited for any one. The lobby bar had a great relaxing atmosphere.

We booked the rooftop bar weeks in advance. When we got to check in and confirmed, they weren’t aware of our reservation and quoted a private event had superseded our reservation and others. We were offered free drinks, a bottle of fizz and a slice of cake as a goodwill which made up for it but I would rather someone told me in advance so we could have made alternative plans.

Stayed here due to a delayed flight as it was the last available room in the city, but what a surprise. Wow! This hotel is stunning! The staff are fabulous, the rooms are generously sized and have all the amenities you may want. The spa was heavenly and I enjoyed bubbling in the hot tub. There's snacks, water and tea provided in the spa too. The location is great and the views were nice. I really liked the soft lighting in the room, it felt very warm and safe and comfortable. I especially liked the low level lights which were nice at night. The coffee in the room was delicious and I loved the ceramics. The bathrobe was so comfortable too. Every detail is thought about and I highly recommend this hotel. I could spend hours going through every small detail of the hotel I appreciated.

Food was delicious, staff very helpful especially front desk and concierge. Snackbar was fantastic,

The bed and pillows were way too soft. Housekeeping provided the firm replacement pillows I needed. I have Parkinson's disease and the bed caused me significant problems. Because it was too soft I slid off the edge of the mattress several times and had difficulty getting up off the floor. Also because of the softness, I had great difficulty getting upright and getting out of bed. Also, I had to ask for a second chair, so we both could sit

staff were very polite, really nice location, breakfast was delicious, le labo toiletry products was a nice touch

strangely no option to use the stairs so i had to get someone to escort me every single time i wanted to go up. would have been helpful if the staff left a note for other staff members so i didn’t need to repeat the same story about claustrophobia several times a day. room smaller than it looked in the pictures, no early breakfast option when I needed to take an early departing flight, the roof top bar is small & a bit outdated. mini bar food selection poor. was not told anything about breakfast times etc upon arrival & my phone didn’t work so couldn’t call anyone to ask. very overpriced in my opinion.

Very comfortable and contemporary hotel with exceptionally attentive staff. The spa was wonderful and included. A great birthday surprise was left in our room. The cleaning staff did an excellent job, placing toiletries on a towel and neatly wrapping charging cables. Great location next to the old part of Reykjavik and other sights. Dinner at The Tides was fantastic.

Our room was at the end of the hallway and quite some distance to the elevator.

Staff very friendly, attentive and low key. Location to restaurants and shopping is great. Excellent breakfast buffet. Rooms clean, beds very comfortable.

Beyond their control that there was a hotel workers strike. Many services limited. No room service . But staff truly stepped forward. Managers helping all the time. Bell staff were excellent .I heard no mention made of strike by staff, except to reassure us that they could take care of us.
