The staff were friendly and helpful. They gave excellent recommendations for places to eat and helped arrange travel back to the airport. They also allowed us to check in super early when we arrived. The hotel was centrally located to all the museums, tours and restaurants and shops. The room was clean and cozy. The beds were soft and warm. The bathroom was beautiful and the shower was awesome.

Because the hotel is centrally located, it could be noisy because of the bars at night. And really, it was only on weekends.

We have some issues with flight cancellation but HUGE THANKS to the Hotel management for helping us to sort things out. It is AMAZING place to stay. Great location - Everything is nearby. AMAZING Breakfast (actually FABULOUS) - we had a log trip all over the island and stayed in quite a few and we have not seen breakfast even CLOSE to Sand Hotel! The rooms are little bit on a smaller side, yet there is plenty enough room for TWO adults and 4 suitcases. The heated floor - PRICELESS! Elevator is very very very quiet, almost silent - Our room was next to it and to our surprise it didn't bother us at all! Please DO trust the staff advise about local restaurants - We did follow the advise and had a FANTASTIC dinner with authentic Icelandic food for a very reasonable price. Ohh - The bust stop for Trips and Tours is just 5 minutes away (easy walk) and it is all the way downhill from hotel :)))) Overall - We truly enjoyed the stay and the only regret we have that we stayed in another hotel for the last two days of our trip.

Nothing to complain.

Breakfast was superb, helped by having its own bakery as part of the hotel. Room was large and comfortable. Public spaces (lobby area and bar/restaurant) are contemporary and have a nice feel. Staff were all great - especially Astrid who was super-helpful.

The mattress was one of the softest I have found in a hotel. The upstairs landing must be due a refurbishment soon (really not a big issue though).

Breakfast was excellent with a great variety of fresh and delicious foods to choose from with a courteous and efficient staff. Room was exceptionally clean with lovely modern decor. Bathrooms are modern clean with a high quality blowdryer and fully stocked with lovely shampoos, conditioners and body lotion. No need to pack these items if your staying here!

If I had to be really picky …..I would add a bar inside the shower to hold on too. Shower floor is a little slippery when you get in.

The rooms were really smart and to a high standard, something we really liked. the hotel was very clean and we were really impressed with the quality of our rooms and the breakfast which was provided. the staff were also very friendly and welcoming the centre location was perfect for us and we would most certainly recommend the property

our stay with yourselves was great, although if anything, we would suggest the below feedback. on our second night at the property we were in a room facing the back of the property which had some very loud noise from adjacent buildings until quite late, although this is out of the hotels control. if this is a regular thing with such a city centre accommodation, a suggestion would be to offer ear plugs at reception to guests. something which we have experienced at similar city centre accommodations.

We had a business trip to Reykjavik with our team and booked 3 rooms. The hotel is great, the rooms are not that big have everything what you need. The whole hotel is warm and cozy. The breakfast is great, even if it is not so big it has so many fresh and local products and you will find everything what you’re looking for to have a great stay in the day. The staff in each area is also so helpful and friendly. The hotel is located very well, so you are directly in the center of Reykjavik. We can totally recommend this hotel.

Lovely hotel nice and clean and modern with helpful friendly staff. Bathroom in our room was a little small but we managed OK. Hotel is in a great central location, not great views from the room but that was OK with us.

Breakfast was limited, but what was on offer was fine

Everything you would want from a centrally located hotel. Walking distance to restaurants, excellent breakfast, endlessly helpful and happy staff, and extremely comfortable bed. They go above and beyond with small touches like a data-loaded phone to take out with you during the day. Can't fault it- I intend on coming back to Iceland and will absolutely be staying here. I still crave the bread and smoked salmon from the breakfast and it was two months ago!

Parking is a bit tricky, but the furthest away we had to park was about 5 minutes. Absolutely not an issue- the price you pay for being so well located- but something to bear in mind.

Fabulous location in center of town. Wonderful bed and linens plus very clean room with slippers, bathrobe, plenty of excellent products, coffee and tea in room with safe and refrigerator. Best breakfast ever. Very friendly and helpful staff with immediate response to my needs. There was a curled rug in my room which they immediately fixed.

Absolutely spotless rooms and hotel. The phone that you can use and take outwith the hotel was so cool and a great idea. The decor was modern and cosy. Staff were friendly and helpful Location was amazing, so central to everything We got birthday chocolates in the room which were a lovely touch

We liked everything. Gorgeous hotel. Great location. Very clean. The only feedback I could give which is very minor and more of a recommendation is to mix up breakfast a bit as it was the exact same for the 5 days we went, the food was lovely but always nice to have some variety. Also to provide non feather pillows as we both got really sore necks from not enough support. And lastly a lot more coat hangers as there isn't much storage space.
