It was the perfect hotel with an excellent staff, perfect location, and easy walking distance to lots of restaurants and the harbor. We flew into KEF airport, then took a taxi to the hotel. Even though it is a fairly new hotel and owned by Hilton, it definitely had a European feel to it (if that's what you're looking for). Snježana was the main person we dealt with at the front desk. She was very nice, very professional, and very helpful. We had a few issues with canceled tours. She was more than happy to help us out, making phone calls, etc. to the various tour groups. The bar area at the hotel is very nice with comfortable couches and chairs, and plenty of seating room. Kris, who was the bartender was very nice, very professional, and makes good cocktails. There is also beer and wine available. The breakfast every morning was very good. Breakfast always included bacon, scrambled eggs, cold cuts, cheeses, and lots of different pastries and breads.

We liked everything.

This is a fantastic hotel. The location is great and the room was super well appointed and comfortable. The bed was brilliant. There are lots of restaurants and bars within easy walking distance along with many of the city's main tourist sights. Pick for tours was easy at bus stop 3 (you will get the hang of pick ups in the city, not as complicated as on first sight). Complementary drink each night helped round off day and meet fellow guests in the bar. The service was also very good, super helpful.

Would have been nice for restaurant to be open in evening, but plenty of local options.

Breakfast was lovely , a little perhaps more hot food and fruit variety might have been welcome. Pastries and breads all lovely. Can't really complain , and would recommend. No strawberry jam might be my only real complaint .

Room was a tiny bit small for the two of us over a week. Only one chair the settee/sofa perhaps a little too large for the room size. No drawers or storage for clothes. Had to use my case for most of the week. A restaurant would have been useful on one or two occasions but understand this is in preparation ?

Great location, very helpful staff, and the hot tub is really pretty. They also have a little happy hour where they give you a drink the the afternoon, which is nice.

The room didn't feel hot, but the only bedding was arctic weight comforters (duvets), which made the bed feel way too hot. When we took out the middle the covering was too thin and we froze. After a couple of sleepless nights we asked the staff if they had other bedding and they really tried to find options for us, but there wasn't any lighter weight bedding. By the end we figured out that we had to keep the windows open as much as possible late into the night to make the room really really cold and it was better. A summer weight bedding option, like a lightweight quilt, would have saved us several sleepless nights. I gave them pretty good marks anyway because if you come in winter I'm sure it's fine, but maybe pick somewhere else when it's warm.

Staff were very friendly, location and breakfast was excellent and overall great value for money.

I ordered some balloons and champagne to our room on arrival and was charged £152 for this. The balloons were very basic and the champagne was nice but not worth anywhere near the amount i had to pay

The hotel was close to the old center of the city. Due to slight overbooking that day, we received a room in higher standard. It was great. Breakfast was really nice too. We stayed just for one night but would stay again if we visit Iceland once more.

It was not easy to find a parking space around, but with advice from the hotel we have managed.

Good location, well appointed comfortable room, good breakfast facilities.

No restaurant for dinner. The reception staff on arrival was very cold, unhelpful, left us waiting. This was not a good introduction to our stay. It was difficult to find as no big sign out the front.

Charming building in a great walkable location. Cute boutique decor. We were upgraded to a suite in the corner of the building with a nice living room and dining area.

The hotel’s location is also its downside. We heard a lot of noisy people on the street outside all night long.

Usually, when visiting larger cities and capitals, we choose to have dinner at one of the city's restaurants, but during Christmas and New Year's week, almost all the restaurants in the city were already busy, so we chose to have dinner in the hotel restaurant. And we did not regret for a moment. Dinner was great. The same can be said for breakfast. Very helpful staff and attitude to the needs of guests. Rooms are also clean, comfortable and spacious. It can be said that we did not lack anything. In addition, the hotel is ideally located in Reykjavik, a few steps from the city’s pedestrian streets and the sea. Thanks to all the staff for the treatment!

There was a problem with parking - there are only paid parking spaces in the city (if available) and a nearby paid parking space.
