Metro Hotel Dublin Airport

Comfortable room with tea-making facilities and a TV with Chromecast. The food in the restaurant both at breakfast and in the evening was very good. The airport shuttle runs every half hour and takes less than 15 minutes.

Although the hotel sent an email asking for pre-registration it didn't include any information about the airport shuttle. On arrival at the airport I phoned the hotel but reception was busy and the person who answered the call said someone would call back . They didn't. I phoned again and this time got reception who told me that the shuttle departs from Bus Zone 16 at 15 and 45 minutes past the hour.

great location and good for over night stay

the bar staff were rude. he was an older man, fair hair and not Irish on the night I stayed. he said he had run out of my sparkling wine, offered no alternative about from “look at the wine list”. for a female solo traveller its uncomfy enough going to the bar alone, without being then faced with unhelpful, unfriendly, bar staff with a can’t be bothered attitude. I left the bar without a purchase because of him and lack of customer service.

The staff were really friendly. The hotel room & bathroom were very nice, clean everything we needed. The food in the restaurant absolutely delicious 10 out of 10! And really lovely restaurant staff! Complimentary airport shuttle great!

The mattress on the bed! Oh what a shame I have to say a bad thing but honestly the twin beds we got were tiny think 2'6 really and pushed together but the mattresses oh lord they were the worst we've ever slept on(actually we didn't sleep too uncomfortable) Metro your hotel is so friendly, lovely ambience, delicious food, but you are so let down by the mattresses!!

Great hotel! Surprised in a very positive way. The rooms are clean and comfortable. And an armchair in the room is a very nice solution that not all hotels offer. The view is also interesting - you can watch the traffic from a height while sitting in an armchair. A very good desk for doing work, stylish furniture and nice room lighting. Free and quick airport transfer is a big bonus! Definitely choose this hotel if you need to stay near the airport. You can also take (or arrive with) a public bus from city center. Bus stop is next to the hotel.

We stayed for one-night after our late evening flight on New Years Eve arrived in Dublin. The shuttle was still running and it was short ride to the hotel. We got an upgrade to a bigger room, which had a second bedroom with bunkbeds for children, if needed. The main bedroom was very large and comfortable. We had booked breakfast and it was very delicious and filling, with lots of choices and fresh fruit. Great way to start the day!

This big room had very large windows that didn't insulate very well, so the room was a bit cold. Because there was a hallway between the bedrooms and the bath, there was a light that you could not turn off, which was a bit annoying when using the toilet in the middle of the night. But that was a small inconvenience.

Restaurant/Bar staff friendly and efficient. Shuttle service availability enticing, but needs to meet practical realities

Some Front Desk/Lobby staff not that friendly. Despite repeated inquiries over 3 days from different front desk staff whether the Airport could drop the passengers off in the departure areas, There were conflicting answers, but the supposed Senior repeatedly said no. The shuttle only drops off at Zone 16. The main reason given was that the Police are enforcing a recently enacted law - "no shuttle bus drops in front of the terminals", this was not true. During our check-out, we took a Taxi. When we were inside the Departure Terminal, we noticed the Metro Hotel Shuttle drop-off all passengers and left within 3 minutes. This can be a game changer with future patrons. Suggestion: Provide microwave and small fridge in rooms

Excellent food and a fine pint of Guinness in the restaurant, very good breakfast and attentive staff, no issues when I had to reschedule my ride to the airport due to delayed flight.

Large support column in the room made the desk somewhat unusable. There was a mixup somewhere and cleaning staff members thought I was only spending 1 night, fortunately I was able to get that corrected at the front desk. Ac unit will only run for about 30 minutes which isn't long enough to dehumidify the room after using the shower and I would wake up during the night to turn it back on..

I booked the apartment on the 13th floor. It had 2 comfortable bedrooms, one with its own bath while the other used the main bathroom. It also had a well maintained and equipped kitchen that included a coffee/tea maker with the basics. A comfortable seating area was off the kitchen. The balcony was nice, and allowed for some fresh air on an unusually warm evening. And although there was not much to see, you can imagine that the view was impressive. The apartment was perfect for two couples traveling together. The restaurant was good and reasonably priced. And that was a good thing because there was not much else nearby besides a chip shop and a grocery store if you wish to cook for yourself. The hotel shuttle service was friendly and reliable and 15 minutes to the airport. A very good choice for 2 couples traveling together with an early morning flight out of Dublin.

It is an airport hotel so do not expect there to be anything of interest within walking distance.

The room was clean and bed was very comfy. Appreciated the complimentary cartons of water. The breakfast had buffet and continental options. The hotel was close to a bus stop, easy to get into Dublin city centre.

We arrived close to midnight because our flight was delayed. I had sent a message asking the hotel about their shuttle bus, but they did not respond until after my stay at the hotel. So we missed the shuttle by just a few mins and had to queue in the freezing cold for a taxi. We got to the hotel at just before 1am. It wasn't a great 1st impression, especially as I had my 6yr old with me. It was about 10mins ride to the hotel and cost €15. We only stayed one night and I would probably still stay here again.

Bedrooms are lovely, stylish and warm. Super clean! Fantastic shower. But the staff are the greatest. Big shout out to the night reception gentleman who arranged for me to have a late check out due to a last minute emergency and was a star! The staff are amazing.

The car park rules should be clearly explained when booking. Parking was a bit of a nightmare when we arrived. We took several attempts to find the car park and then parked in an area through a huge security gate which was signposted for the hotel. The gate closed behind us and only got let out through the kindness of a local resident! Turns out you can only park in certain areas and you need a pass to get out. Not much use if you have already parked and then find out you need the pass from reception (which you can’t get to because you are locked behind the gate!) Not much fun when it’s dark, raining and you are tired.
