Room was clean & large, came equipped with complimentary red wine which was lovely touch.

Room was not equipped with fridge which would have been useful for some items I had which required refrigeration.

The seafood chowder in the restaurant was superb. I liked the generous size of my bedroom. The staff at reception were very helpful and friendly, even if their accents were difficult to understand. The staff in the restaurant were superb.

I am disabled. The shuttle bus stop at the airport involves a long walk to the terminals which is difficult for me. In the bedroom, the fresh air grille in the middle of the window was inpossible to close so noise from outside, including flights taking off, disturbed my sleep. The anti-theft coat hangers with a little pinhead to fit into a hanging hook are IMPOSSIBLE for people with arthritic fingers. Thay should NEVER be the only option in rooms for the disabed.

It was relatively close to the Dublin Airport, but it was still a very pricey hotel.

Restaurants were very expensive. I would recommend a 20–30-minute walk to Kealey's Pub on Sword Road for dinner. Excellent food at a more reasonable price. The other huge problem with the Carlton is their shuttle service. For a hotel as large as the Carlton they have an insufficient size for their shuttle vans. We had to wait over 45 minutes in the blowing rain for a second pick-up at the airport. and even then, there were a couple people left behind due to lack of space. Plus, one of the drivers is very rude and acts as if he either hates his job or has no experience in customer service.

The room was quite roomy, roomier in any case than in most four-star hotels. The design is quite relaxing, which matter before a flight. There is one space really apart to tidy your stuff, which means that visually the room can remain orderly. Unusually, there are two comfortable armchairs inviting to sit deep ensconced and to rest. The lighting is well thought-out and gives an intimate impression that reinforces the impression of quietness. I wish I could have stayed in this hotel for a longer period of time. The room was absolutely immaculate even with the wall to wall carpet, bearing in mind it is not easy to maintain hygiene standards with comfy wall-to-wall carpet.

The staff at the reception were a bit cold and stiff but professional. However, the staff at the restaurant were definitely slow, too cold, too distant, close to rude and inefficient talking into account high Irish standards of warm welcome. The room was too hot and it was nearly impossible to settle the temperature

Booked the hotel for the night before our flight to Alghero in Sardinia. The perfect start to our holiday - luxurious accommodation. The room was large and elegantly furnished. There was a separate seating area with a huge TV on the wall. There was a balcony with table and chairs overlooking the airport. Beautiful bathroom with a huge bath and toiletries provided meaning that I didn’t have to open my large case so I was ready to leave early the next morning without any hassle. Drinks and biscuits were provided and the room was so comfortable that we ordered room service and received a delicious meal from the restaurant, along with a pint of Guinness- a must when visiting Ireland. The hotel has a shuttle bus that takes guests to and from the airport 24/7. We wished we could have stayed longer - perfect!

Nothing!

Great location for Dublin airport. Hotel supplies a shuttle bus, which is 24/7 (as well as secure parking and EV charging). Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was excellent - huge comfortable bed, range of tea/coffee facilities (coffee maker) as well as a mini fridge (with water supplied) 40+ TV screen, iron/ironing board, hairdryer and walk in dressing area. Our room even had a balcony with views over the airport. The windows/doors are triple glazed so had no noise and the curtains were blackout - much appreciated!

The main reason for choosing this hotel, over the numerous other hotels near the airport, was for the fact that their website states "gained immense praise for their vegan dishes". On arrival to the hotel, we asked staff at the restaurant (Wild Hare) if the displayed sandwiches/rolls were vegan, she told us the roasted vegetable rolls were, so we ordered two. 15 minutes later (15 minutes to unwrap a prepared roll and heat it?) the food arrived, but they had cheddar cheese inside them!?! We hoped that dinner would be better, but there was only one vegan option on the menu - plant-based burger. Disappointing, food didn't live up to our expectations, as stated on the website- no "immense praise" from us for only offering an uncreative burger option. Shame.

The hotel is very close to the airport and rental car return locations which made it an ideal place to book for the night before our morning flight. The hotel runs a regular shuttle to the airport, though you should book a time the night before to ensure enough space. There are two dining options located right in the hotel itself too: Kittyhawk a cheaper and more laid-back experience and Runway 28 being the more "chic" and expensive option. The hotel staff was very helpful in helping us know the difference between the two for making our choice (laid back atmosphere more for us). Rooms were very nice.

Everything was as expected or slightly better, so the only negative I can imagine would be the location if airport proximity was not a primary concern for you.

Pleasantly surprised by this hotel! We had no expectations and were quite pleased with everything. Very easy to get to - we returned a rental car, and just walked to the hotel from there (dropping off luggage, etc prior to returning the car). Wonderful staff, very clean, nice lobby seating areas, accommodated early check-in. Room was clean and spacious, bed was perfect. Despite being right next to the airport, it was very quiet. Upper restaurant/lounge excellent! Really good food and selections, perfect Negroni, and lovely trio playing live in the bar. Breakfast buffet was also perfect! Nice to have fresh-brewed coffee.

Room coffee was just instant packets of regular or decaf. Yuck. Tea selection ok. Nepresso machine would be nice.

Close to the airport. Free airport shuttle every 15-20 mins. Breakfast was delicious. Affordable price for a night stay before departure and arrival after a long flight.

Rooms are quite old, could use an upgrade especially in the bathrooms. The shower pressure was heavy and the shower curtains didn’t make any sense as they didn’t cover the length of the bathtub and they were short enough that water could leak out onto the bathroom floors. No iron in the room. The door could not be opened with our key card, had to ask the front desk every time. As it was close to Christmas, there was a party going on which was really loud in the room so we asked to be switched. The hotel front desk staff are a hit or miss. We’ve stayed at the Carlton numerous times this year and we’ve had some friendly staff and some who were not.

Staff very helpful & courteous the hotel was convenient too airport & very comfortable after a long haul flight from Australia then returning again next day a free shuttle provided which was great, I would rate this hotel 10/10

Never get the grab & go breakfast hotel need to review with company providing this service there is no bread/ croissant yet cheese is given sweet yogurt only perhaps a banana would be a more appropriate fruit for travellers providing potassium to ward against cramps on long flights rather than 2 apples for the price I rate this offering as a 2/10 very poor offering so don't recommend acquiring this service at all.
