We arrived by motorcycles as we were dearting on a ferry to Fishguard for a 7.30am sailing.

From the Monday that week, I had been receiving emails to say that my debit card has been refused and asking me to pay. The email had a link to their paument and I did pay, but the same email kept saying I had not paid and may loose my booking. I had a reply from the payment people who confirmed I had paid, but the hotel insisted they had no record of paument. When I arrived on Thursday evening I had to pay again. My banking app showed the two payments. I managed to contact my credit card provider for them to retreive one of the payments, which they have been able to do.

On arrival, the hotel looked bright and inviting, even from the outside before entering. All staff I met were friendly and welcoming. The room was colourful and very clean and gave me very comfortable nights sleep on route to my final destination after a tiring day of travel. Even though my room was front facing, it was protected from the road by trees and distant enough to not be troubled by traffic noise - which seemed to be minimal anyway. The hotel’s position is perfect for ferry travel - and almost opposite a parade of useful shops. It was very pleasant, after a long day being cooped up in a car or confined to the ferry, to have a wander round the local area and along the cliff top footpath which takes you away from the bustle of the port to complete peace within minutes. But the best part of my night’s stay was the breakfast. I fully recommend the full English. Thank you for providing very pleasant facilities. I will choose this hotel again and will recommend to anyone.

A very minor point and probably as a result my own technical inadequacies - I could see no way to turn off the TV permanently from the comfort of my bed using the remote. It kept turning itself back on after a few minutes and waking me up - until I finally had to get out of my bed to turn it off at the wall. There are very useful tips in the hotel guide about TV channel options. Perhaps an explanation on how to put the TV to sleep via the remote would be useful for technophobes like me.

I was booked on the early morning ferry out of Rosslare. I had travelled from Belfast and wanted to relax before an early start to catch the 8 am ferry. I had to be booked in by 6.30 am The location was perfect and there was free parking for my motorcycle. For a one night stay, within 5 mins of the port it was perfect. I really cannot fault it. Too early for breakfast so I cannot rate that part of the stay. Everything else was great😁 I would definitely recommend it for an overnight stay in order to catch an early boat. Took all the stress out of the journey for me.

I cannot fault it to be honest. For me it did exactly what I needed it to!😊

Cleanliness , location excellent . Great value . Both Helen and Eileen were lovely to deal with on the phone . Had an issue with Booking . Com very dissatisfied with my contact with them . Just kept sending e mails saying my payment was declined even after the property had been paid for in full . Obviously a computer error on their part even after phoning them they still kept sending same e mails . I had to contact Ferryport and ask them to check again the room had been paid for . Lovely place . Would recommend 100%.

It was very clean. The lady on reception was really helpful and provided us with fresh milk for tea and coffee as we don't like the little tubs of milk. The shower was powerful and hot. The bed was really comfortable. It was in an excellent position to get on the early ferry. It had a little accommodation info pack in the room and plenty of tea and coffee sachets and some biscuits.

Not knowing the attached restaurant was no longer operational although the receptionist did provide us with info on local options. So no big issue.

A very convenient location especially for the early morning ferry or the Dublin train. Room was comfortable and fit for purpose with a very warm shower. Only had one night so unable to comment fully on use of room facilities e.g. TV. Staff very friendly and breakfast was served swiftly so that I was able to start and finish well in time for the ferry. Breakfast was very tasty.

Bathroom has a slight watery smell but disappeared once I had started running water from shower.

The woman on reception was really welcoming and friendly. The room was a decent size with comfy beds and a very good shower (over the bath). It was nice and quiet - we didn't hear any noise from neighbours in adjoining rooms.

Some of the plug sockets didn't work, and the toilet pedestal was a little loose. We were told to just drop our keys off when we left - I would have preferred to see someone on reception to say thank you to, and to mention those minor room defects to.

The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The room was very clean and really comfortable. It is literally only a 2 minute drive to the port so it is extremely handy for getting the early morning ferry.

The only thing I can say is it would be handy if there was food and drink available on the premises but there is a pub, a supermarket and apache pizza all within a 2 minute walk.

Very easy to check in and was provided with good advice about finding an enjoyable evening meal. There were friendly staff serving breakfast the following morning too. It was handy coming off the ferry and a comfortable stay after a long journey, so we refreshed when departing the following day.

Nothing - it was 2nd time we'd stayed there, and was as good on this occasion as it had been first time round a few years ago.

Great location, 2 minutes from the ferry port, so a great nights stay prior to a long ride the following day. Restaurant on site too, so didn't have to walk far for an evening meal. Not a problem if you wanted to eat elsewhere as there were some local eateries too. Also stayed here on the last night of the tour as we had an early 07:00am ferry. This time was too early for a breakfast so the difference was refunded.

Only a slight grumble, the water pressure was very high, so be careful filling the kettle or brushing your teeth! it sprayed water up the mirror and shot the toothpaste off the brush lol...! Nothing to complain about really....
