Where do I start. Such a very beautiful place. Location,grounds,architecture,design and that's just before I went in the front door. Inside..just as beautiful. Love the colours,design,fixtures and fittings. Very calming,relaxing. Francis Brennan would approve. Not your run of the mill accommodation. 5 🌟 really. If you like quality,detail and want to really relax,stay here. Walk in shower is great,along with relaxing shower gel. And fresh spring still water infused with a fresh sprig of mint. I'll definitely be back. Love the place.

Having to leave....

We were staying in Rosslare to catch an early morning ferry to Fishguard so wanted accommodation close to the harbour and where we could leave before breakfast. Applelea House was ideal for this and the room was perfect for our needs. Michael, the host, was very gracious as we arrived early but he accommodated our needs.

We had difficulty finding the house but that was more the fault of our sat nav not liking Irish post codes!

The facilities were excellent - everything we needed. Michael was very helpful. As we were leaving early to catch the ferry, it was too early for breakfast so Michael arranged a continental breakfast on a tray delivered to our room (at slight extra cost) at 6.30am. This was helpfuL

We found the bed to be a bit too low and not the most comfortable, also too hot so sadly didn't get the best sleep.

The bedroom was decorated so beautifully.it wasn't bland like some. We got in very late, and I mentioned that I missed my glass of wine, and Paula brought us in some. Very very nice of her.

It's my fault I misread and presumed we got breakfast, which looked amazing BTW, but it was on request. I did mention it to the host who was apologetic about it and said he will review the ad.

Absolutely spotless! Beautifully decorated rooms and very comfortable and cosy. We arrived late evening and were greeted by the very friendly and efficient owner. He told us just what we needed to know and then left us to settle in. It’s convenient for catching the ferry the next day - about ten minutes away! But it would be lovely to use for longer if staying in this part of Ireland for a holiday. Would definitely come back. Excellent.

Firstly, the welcome was lovely. No problems catering for an early departure to catch a ferry. The recommendation re somewhere to eat that evening worked out well. We did not have breakfast, leaving that till after we were on the ferry. Situation was ideal, close to the ferry terminal but not obviously so.would throughly recommend for a quick overnight or a longer stay in this corner of Ireland.

Nothing, all was over expectations.

The host was most helpful on the phone in advance, and on arrival. No problem with change of arrival time. The room was delightful, not just clean and comfortable but stylish as well.

I found the television too sophisticated and complicated and therefore difficult for me to work. And despite being given the broadband code I was unable to connect to it with my i-Pad.

Very friendly welcome, very clean and modern and freedom to come and go made the experience very pleasant.

Only criticism was the presence of strongly scented Lillie's. Both my wife and daughter have a sensitivity to them. Not a severe drawback though and I will know next time to ask for the removal of highly scented flowers.

excellent location for the ferry from Rosslare. Room and bathroom excellent, very clean and good decor. Pleasant host who prepared a good continental breakfast

not the hosts fault but we had an electricity failure due to storm Betty. We were offered an oil lamp but didn't need its as it was late in the evening

Location and all the nice extra touches. Lovely decor. Very friendly host.

We loved everything except; I wish accommodations would not use plastic backed mattress protectors. They are most unsuitable for a comfortable sleep. Likewise, 100% cotton bedlinen makes for a more comfortable sleep.
