The hotel is very clean, rooms but also public facilities like pool and restaurants. The staff is very friendly. There are no sunbeds at the beach (it is not possible due to the tides) but there are some in the "garden area" next to the beach, so you can still enjoy the view of the beach and ocean while relaxing there. The breakfast buffet is amazing and offers a wide range of food from different countries including Indonesian food, freshly made soto ayam soup, sushi, Indian food, sweet stuff like pancakes or cake, a small selection of cheese and saussage, vegetables, fruits, a lot of different fresh juices, eggs, bacon,...

Food and drinks in the restaurants and bars inside the hotel are all very tasty but very expensive compared to restaurants outside the hotel. For example you pay about 40k IDR for Nasi Goreng outside and 200k inside the hotel. Next to the hotel are several seafood restaurants at the beach. In the town you find French, Indian, Italian, Indonesian and steak restaurants. The rooms are quite large and clean, but there is no proper door between the room and the toilet (only a glass door with a 20cm gap) so there isn't any privacy if you want to use the toilet...

The staff were exceptional - could not do enough to make our stay the best possible.

Every morning, other guests would get up early and place towels on the sun lounges, not to return for hours. This needs better monitoring - as many missed out because of greedy guests 'reserving' spots. I think there needs to be a better system, or towels removed if guests don't use the lounges within a certain time frame. Assistance from the staff would be beneficial

The personnel was very friendly and the we had one of the best breakfast ever, plenty of choice and different stations (Indian, Japanese, Korean, eggs). Huge hotel, a bit dated.

The check in experience was awful, long waiting to have the room, the first room was in a very far building from the restaurants and facilities, it was very old with a broken sink, broken shower seals and stains in the tube. After a couple of hours, the management arranged another room for us, even worst than the first in an terrible position, on ground floor, in front of the swimming pool and the pool restaurant, not quite at all. Eventually, around 10 pm, finally they decided to upgrade us in another room, in the main building and this was finally good. As a compensation, for all the disruption, we received a free drink at the pool bar and one access to one of their lounge. We will not return in this hotel.

When you exit the hotel on the road side there is really nothing. So after a while we were wanting something else other than seafood on the beach. The sunbed battle every morning. Needing to be up by 7am if you want a bed and umbrella

The location of the resort was nice and the ambiance was good. The breakfast area was amazing for the children and also adults. The location next to Jimbaran beach was very good and near the fresh fish restaurants. The room was amazing and spacious. The staff was very friendly

The children pool was not attractive for the children and for the activities in the kids club you need to pay extra for them to participate.

We absolutely loved their royal breakfasts. I think we have never seen such variety of food in the bufet while staying at the hotel. The hotel is really very well located, you can enjoy the sunsets every evening without leaving the hotel. There is basically everything you need: few restaurants, SPA, sauna, jacuzzi, few bars, life music, concerts... and the gardens look fantastic!

Price - they don't have Australian costs in Bali, so I don't understand Australian prices. There is no shuttle from the airport, although the hotel description says there is. There is just regular taxi or hotel car that you have to pay for additionally.

the grounds, pools , staff, food. the breakfast was divine and next level. the room was luxurious as was the bed. king size!! clean. pool towels were soft n fluffy

the ironing board cover was terrible. it fell apart and was not able to be used. the lighting in the room was not bright enough for older people.

Stunning resort. More like an Imperial Estate. Lovely pools, water features, stonework, immaculate gardens, classy restaurants and the gorgeous beachfront Sunset Bar to relax in the evening. To top it off the staff and food were amazing, there was no desire to really leave. Can't wait to return.

I think its just the smell which you get a-lot in Bali and can be musty. If there was a fresh smell in the room with a diffuser etc would really help.

Wow! What a resort! Hands down the best hotel I have stayed in. From the moment I arrived at the InterContinental resort, I was spellbound by the level of professionalism, the incredibly luxurious feel to the place and the stunning backdrop. Truly this is a special place! The check in was swift and our room was a great size. I really liked the walk in closet area of the suite. We didn’t order room service however the menu looked fantastic. Everywhere in the hotel, including the rooms are spotless. Breakfast was out of this world. The amount of choice from the noodle and oriental bar to the egg station to my favourite the pastries and the waffles counter was amazing. We were so glad we had added breakfast to our booking. The pool area and access to the beach was one of my favourite things about this hotel. Pool service was fantastic with lots of different choices of cocktails and food. The only drawback we had was that we were sat on the bean bags as there were no sun loungers left and weren’t told when any became available. The level of customer service at this hotel is incredible. Every member of staff is approachable, helpful and always so friendly. We booked many taxis through the hotel and were always impressed when the staff that the staff would give us both the price of hotel transportation and also a local taxi company too before booking. Everything about this hotel is 5 stars. In fact, since returning home to England I am now looking at staying in a different InterContinental resort next summer because my experience at the InterContinental resort in Bali was so good! Cannot recommend highly enough! Book!
