I liked to be able to relax in our room before we went out to near by restaurants, pubs and cinema.its lovely to stay at the Holiday Inn so you don't have to worry about travelling home after a good night out and also the fabulous breakfast (if you've paid for one) in the morning,always great and the staff in the breakfast room are lovely too.

Short version. It would be nice if there was a member of staff at the bar at all times as when I went to get a drink there was nobody to serve me and you hung about a bit until another staff member comes over to serve you which is nice but that loop of customer service is then broken and it lowers the vibes a bit,for me anyway,I'm not moaning it's just an opinion and I think it would definitely be beneficial to have that smiling face when approaching the bar.

Good location for local business visits. Spacious car park, efficient reception service. Good size room air conditioned, two lifts to upper floor. Food quality good.

Poor room service - no one answered the phone to take the order, waited for nearly 40 mins. Eventually, I got through the front desk, after several attempts, to place the order. Staff weren't very engaging, and customers seemed to be a distraction to them.- Sorry to say, I have seen more, friendly, cheerful staff at other Holiday Inn hotels. Only redeeming staff was the cleaning lady who was friendly and helpful.

Everything was just very high standard from housekeepers to receptionists. Made a stressful week so much easier. Highly recommend without a doubt.

Only complaint is on the Sunday I asked young bar staff for some cutlery for my son and I and a plate as bought chips and pie for my dinner after emotional day. Was given cutlery, well 1 set and basically told he didn't have time to get me a plate. And I'd have to wait till he had time ... hence had to eat out of paper which bit awkward with a pie. Was rude and didn't appreciate it as stayed 12 nights costing a good amount of money. Everyone else were first class, extremely professional and went above and beyond and so friendly.

The staff were brilliant, they were incredibly helpful and friendly. Loved our huge room, was so good for our family girly meet up. The beds were comfortable and clean and there was a very good selection for breakfast. We looked over the lake which was really nice. Walking distance from our restaurant and Golf!

Our bathroom was a little dated and our sink seemed to be blocked. The water took ages to go down. We had booked our room for four people but there were only 2 mugs, although this was easily recitified. Not a big thing!

Friendly and helpful staff on arrival, and reminded me that I did not need to pay for parking as I am now a member from previous visit to Holiday Inn. Explained regarding breakfast and timings before I went up to my room.

The only thing I could fault was the cost of my evening meal, and that the steak was cold. It cost me £36 for this meal and was expecting it to come out hot straight from the kitchen. This did not reflect on the flavour, however after travelling for several hours and being so hungry I just ate it!

The staff at this hotel are above and beyond the ordinary. Rebecca from reception is outstanding, helpful and kind. Donna from the breakfast team is always a pleasure to see in the mornings- helpful and attentive. Sue the breakfast manager is outstanding in organisation and friendly manner and Christy the operations manager is excellent, organised and lovely. The reception team Abby, Claire and Roberta are always helpful and professional. The cleaning team work so hard to maintain the hygiene of all the rooms and public areas to a very high standard. thanks to all the team for making the stay a home away from home!

Very clean and lovely friendly helpful staff. Comfortable beds and very clean bedding. The staff moved us as we didn't sleep well the first night. Thankfully the second night we did. We will definitely book again when visiting our daughter at University.

A foreign person next door to us was talking very loud on his phone at 4am until 6am. Kept us awake which spoilt the next day for us. We needed sleep after our journey from Yorkshire to spend the weekend with our daughter. She is at University. The staff thankfully moved us to a different room and were very apologetic. The man next door didn't have any respect for others trying to sleep.

excellent amenities. excellent new refurbishment in bar area. breakfast was superb. offered absolutely everything from full English to continental and fresh melon slices. it is the best by far of any Holiday Inn we have stayed in and also that of other similar hotels ie premier inn and travel lodge. very comfortable rooms. these are hotel that you spend a night or two in. this one ticks all the boxes. Claire on reception was a delight as were the other ladies but we spoke more to Claire on leaving the hotel. our room was cleaned beautifully by Kim. her name was on the service card so thank you to Kim for a lovely presented room. We had a lake view which was great and we could see plenty of restaurants from our room. Pizza Hut, toby Carvery and I think Starbucks. there were others so although we didn’t use it was good to see the options but wanted to praise your staff in the restaurant as they cleaned served and replenished to a very high standard. most impressed!

hallway upstairs was a little tired but chatted to Claire who informed us that the reverb was continuing with new carpets etc which would make the hotel perfect 👍🏼

Location was good, near to the main road into London. The room was clean and comfortable. Booking in was efficient. Parking right outside the front doors. Bar area was pleasant and the staff were friendly and helpful. The evening meal was excellent, very good quality. Breakfast was excellent with Sue and her team making sure everything was available and freshly cooked.

Despite stating that toiletries were free, there was no toothpaste. The response from reception was delayed delivery. Also no bottled water or milk in room which was rectified. The evening meal is only served in the bar despite stating there is a restaurant. After ordering all three courses at the bar it is then served at the table. The quality of the food far outweighs the surroundings in which it is served, they are letting themselves down a bit, there should be a designated restaurant area next to the bar for table service.

Surrounded by restaurants and fun things to do and a great water park next door which was great to watch from hotel window. Hotel catered for all needs, absolutely spotless and staff around 24/7 if you need them. Bar and restaurant on site and beautiful gardens to sit in. Would defo recommend. Fab stay for 2 days.....oh and the breakfast facilities where top notch.
