We have stayed at Villa La Massa previously and returned because it is an exceptional property in a unique location. It is a peaceful haven in close proximity to an historic city.

Everything. The rooms are spacious, elegant and luxurious. The grounds and pool area are very well kept. Excellent indoor and outdoor eating areas serving excellent food and beverages.

From the moment we entered it was five star service. At checkin Adel, Tamara and Nicolo were very cordial. The views of the river and beautiful hills made it hard to look away. All of the resteraunt’s were excellent and especially the very lovely staff. I would especially like to thank Vasilis for his great food recommendations and conversation.

Beautiful grounds, the original villa and facilities, especially the new pool and restaurant. The inclusive shuttle transfer to/from the city centre was very useful and complimentary bottled water was provided. A very good selection of food for breakfast and an a la carte option too!

The poolside service and restaurant was much more expensive than expected, e.g. €8 for a 200ml Coke, €10 for one tea. Breakfast service was very friendly but a little inconsistent from day-to-day and gluten free options seemed to be very limited on the menus generally.

Beautiful & many old features kept even though the property had been modernized

Bathroom really big & light with show & separate bath tub & bidet & double basins, a lot of long mirrors in the dressing area so you could see back & side views

The place is amazing. The view is beautiful, the pool, the garden and room are super clean. Food is great. Even the burger was top level. The room is cleaned and organized twice a day. They offer shuttle to the city (Florence).

A bit expensive

Entire ambience is very special. Those who love remote living will definitely enjoy it. Territory of the villa has plenty of space for walks. Great restaurant with the river views. Absolutely loved Atmosphere in the restaurant with live music in the evening.

Pool is closing at 7pm. I would suggest more flexibility with timing for hotel facilities.

Breakfast was incredible and staff attention to detail was great too. The room was comfortable and with amazing views. The pianist starting to play in the evenings before dinner was also a highlight.

The food at dinner was slightly overpriced for its quality.

The property is very nice and cosy. Staff is excellent, especially at breakfast, including the very nice and polite chef. Easy and smooth to get to Florence. We will come back.

Driver of the shuttle bus is very nervous

We celebrated a special occasion at Villa la Massa. It was a wonderful place to celebrate and the staff was very helpful! Definitely a place to come back to.

You will not have a better hotel experience anywhere. The property, breakfast, service, all amazing. Only issue as with most high end Italian hotels, cocktail are very expensive and light on the alcohol. Otherwise, this is a dreamy property.
