I wanted a hotel close to Florence but also with grounds and a pool. Both were excellent. I hadn't planned on eating at the hotel every evening but the food, ambience and service were excellent. For those that fear having to save a bed by the pool every day, fear not, there are ample. The local buses into town are frequent but a 10 min walk away and don't adhere to forecast times, I didn't find it a problem, part of the experience of being in Italy. The hotel operates a shuttle but not always at the times I needed.

The cardio aspect of the gym could have done with heavier free weights and a better range of cardio equipment but it was ok with a few compromises. A more frequent hotel shuttle service would be welcome, particularly for the evening.

Really liked the property, substantial and beautiful grounds and the pool was amazing in the heat. My only small suggestion would be for the restaurant to cater separately for children at dinner and lunch. Food was lovely, but expensive and there weren't necessarily straightforward children's choices - but this is where the staff pulled out all the stops and really helped us.

As above, but the only suggestions would be to have more choices at the restaurant for children and for there to be a more regular 'patrol' to collect the used cups and glasses that builds up near the pool.

I will never stay anywhere else if I am lucky to visit Florence again. The entire place is absolutely stunning . The shuttle into the city was easy and cheaper than a taxi . The gardens are immaculate and the pool crystal clean and perfect after a long hot day walking the city . It’s a peaceful haven from the crowds . The staff are so friendly and helpful and go above and beyond to make the stay as comfortable as possible . Most spoke and / or understood English enough to understand . This place is paradise .

Stayed at Villa Olmi for 3 nights and had a wonderful stay. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Staying here was a nice break from the busy center and summer heat. They have a shuttle service that will take you to town and back. You can also reach the center and return with a Taxi! Room was large and clean, aircon worked very well. The grounds were beautiful and well kept. The pool was wonderful with towels and loungers. I would absolutely stay here again next time visiting Florence.

The ladies and one gentleman at the front desk were exceptionally professional, courteous, helpful and friendly. The staff in the breakfast room and the main dining room were also exceptional. If the only knowledge a visitor had of Italy was from meeting the staff of Villa Olmi, they would love Italy! Thank you for a wonderful experience.

It's my fault, but the room was hot the first two or three nights I was there, so I opened the windows. Mosquitos got in and nearly consumed me. If you visit, use the air conditioning and don't open the windows.

The location, hotel and staff are amazing. We had been to Il Cavaliere before but not stay on premises. The gardens surrounding the hotel are beautiful. The hotel exceptionally clean and ordered. As always, the restaurant staff and menu fantastic. The breakfast buffet offered excellent food choices. Although we didn’t need it, we noticed shuttle service from there to a sister hotel in Centro, which is a huge bonus if you are there on holiday without a car. 15 minutes to Centro.

Restaurant/cuisine could be a bit more creative and upscale. Bread was very mediocre. Fruit offering very limited. Restaurant tables do not need an ashtray, plastic RQ code, and salt/pepper shakers very low class. Table lamp not clean. If you want to be considered top tier, the devil is in the details. F&B should be of the highest caliber.

The staff was wonderful! They were always ready to help out with any of your needs. The breakfast buffet had a nice variety of foods to choose from. You need to reserve the shuttle the day before you plan to go into the center of Firenze. The pool was beautiful and clean.

I did not really enjoy scheduling the shuttle. If you did not book it the day before, you had to go by taxi in the center of Firenze and it was expensive. I wish the location was closer to the beautiful center of Firenze.

Super friendly staff!! Beautiful and convenient room. Great decoration. The breakfast was tasty, including fresh fruits, and very good coffee and hot chocolate. There is a shuttle to Florence (an extra) that saves the hassle of parking. It is 20 minutes away from the center of Florence.

I can't find any disadvantages.

Facilities were beautiful, staff was beyond friendly and helpful, breakfast was delicious. The shuttle to town was super convenient. We were travelling with a baby and they made all the effort to accommodate. Would definitely stay again!
