Excellent location, great breakfast & so tasty. Rooms cleaned every day. We stayed in the regular double room with a balcony. We had a stunning view over looking the pool and could see the lake in the distance. The hotel was a 5 min walk from the station and 10 mins down hill to the centre. I would highly recommend Hotel Benaco when staying in Desenzano. Great value for money.

At certain times, evening & morning, I heard a lot of noise (talking & animals) from other rooms.

Great bits would be - handy for the train station, helpful and friendly staff, calm and clean pool area you could use until late, snacks delivered poolside, comfy lounge area, good breakfast options, AMAZING air con, large balcony, a cute ginger kitty (though don't pester too much or you will get a swipe haha!), small gym area, lovely cleaning team who kept leaving my greedy daughter chocolates haha. Free use of a safe, plus hairdryer, lots of storage space, shower gel and such. As far as the area there are a few nearby stores (gelato/cafe/wine/fruit and veg) and then more stores and restaurants as you head down to Desenzano town. Absolutely gorgeous town and a handy hub for getting places (we visited Sirmione via ferry, hired a boat and then visited Verona from this hotel, after that we travelled by rail to Milano and Bergamo to our next destinations.)

I would suggest for anyone older or with health issues to perhaps stay closer to the town. We got a little tired at times walking a lot in the heat. Worth noting you are on a busy road, however this didn't bother us. As far as the hotel itself and it's staff I could not say a bad word :)

The Greeting by Pamela was extraordinary. That smile that Understanding of my request and the kindness I will chemisch in my heart forever. The delicious chocolate which is complimentary is a plus too . Cute interior Design. Cute small Single room enough for my stay. With an exceptional breakfast. 3 min from the Train Station.

A fridge in my room would've made my stay perfect ..Well if weather. Or Pool would have been heated. Haha as I so wanted to swim As i packed a swimsuit...but I think I mistead or it wasnt really stated That its just later that year open or warm enough to use it.

The Buffet Breakfast was very good and the only thing missing was fresh fruit. The Coffee from the machine was outstanding, the best I have ever tasted in a Hotel. The bedroom was spacious, very comfortable and quiet.

In the Breakfast room, the chairs made an enormous amount of noise each time they were moved across the tiled floor. This was a major source of stress during Breakfast. This sort of issue is easy to fix and I recommend you do so as soon as possible.

The breakfast is excellent, everything one could wish for…we particularly liked the pancake maker! Our room was rather small but clean and adequate with a good balcony.. A delightful pool and pool area. A very pleasant short walk to the centre. We have stayed at the hotel Benaco many times and love Desenzano

There was really nothing we didn’t like..

fabulous breakfast every morning with a great variety of food on offer. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Our room had an excellent view from the balcony and extremely clean and very cool in the hot weather.

The hotel is on a hill which was alright for us but would maybe not suit everyone. especially in the really hot weather.

We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Benaco, we only stayed two nights but the staff were very friendly and accommodating, the hotel is in a great location for the lake and the train station. The pool and garden area were very pretty! It was great to have a balcony and the room was a good size and clean.

The shower seemed slightly small and in our opinion the bed was too hard for us.

Lovely family run small hotel in a great location, 5 minutes away from the train station and 10 minutes walk into the town. The pool was lovely and plenty of sun bed available throughout the day. Nice European breakfast with something for everyone. Staff super friendly and the little bar area was really nice. Clean hotel and nice rooms.

Didn’t have a iron

Really loved staying here. The staff were so friendly and the room was a good side with views of the pool. Breakfast had plenty of choice although apart from a soy cappuccino/juice it was limiting for vegan options - would be best to venture to a cafe if you do have dietary requirements. There is a cute cat lounging near reception sometimes and there are complimentary umbrellas when raining. Getting to the main hub of food/activities is a very short walk away, as is the train station. I would happily return here again!

Quiet location, clean room, pleasant staff, swimming pool area very nice, very laid back and relaxing, breakfast was substantial and lots of variety

A mini fridge in the room would be a perfect addition, a few blemishes on cleanliness especially the squashed bug's on the ceiling above the bed,sadly once you see them you can't unsee them
