Loved our stay in villa lilla. Villa felt really authentic and peaceful. The location was excellent, as the hotel was 5-10 minutes walk from the train station and the old town of desenzano. There also were some great restaurants very close to the hotel. Employees were keen to help us with the ferry timetables etc around Garda and always made sure everything was okay during our stay. Air conditioning worked perfectly in our room and the cleaners did great job helping to keep our room clean. Breakfast was fresh and it included all the necessities.

The check in times. The closing times. While booking on line we did not see how strict the check in timing was. Then we were stressed as we got a mail that said you absolutely cannot check in after 22:00 because it is locked (except for your room key). And our booking was non refundable. At least we should know before buying. We had to change our plans to get there. Also on line it says parking. But again apparently you need to call and reserve in advance. Very misleading on line!

The property is in a great location for visiting the historic centre of Desenzano ( literally less than 5 minutes walk away) and very quiet at night so we got a great sleep. The properties structure and the staff make you feel very at home . Our room we knew was going to be small as we had booked the economic room but it had everything in it you need , was very tastefully decorated ,the bathroom was a great size and the shower was perfect. It was better than we thought it would be. The breakfast was very good value and I can recommend the home made Apple and cinnamon cake if you are lucky enough to see it. A big shout out to Francesco who was so helpful and just lovely .

Great location a few minutes walk from both the train station and the centre/lake. The room and bathroom were a good size, comfortable and had a full length mirror, fridge, hanging space and lighting options. Breakfast had a good range and was sufficient. The staff were all friendly and welcoming.

The only thing for me was that there were no staff in the building from the evening. As a solo female traveller I booked a hotel ( as opposed to an apartment/airbnb) for security and feel better if there are staff there at all times.

The hotel is in a perfect location between Desenzano train station and the lake. Staff were friendly and helpful, we stayed in a small double room on the top floor, it was clean and the bed was very comfortable, we had a great nights sleep. There was plenty of choice for breakfast and it was all tasty. Unfortunately we didn’t get to use the pool due to weather conditions but I do plan to visit again in the future so hopefully the weather will be warmer and we’ll get to try the pool.

I liked everything about the property.

Beautiful well kept villa, very authentic. We stayed in downstairs room Barbara, a huge room with large bathroom. Everything met our needs and we definitely had no issues. The place grows on you, is so clean and tidy you can tell it’s a well run hotel villa from the get go, you feel very looked after unlike the modern day hotels We celebrated ours sons Birthday, Barbara was fabulous, arranging a cake, balloons along with banners, playing birthday music in the morning whilst all of us were singing happy birthday, it was such a lovely touch,making us extremely happy 😊 The best thing for us was Franco! always there ensuring we were okay, showing us around the villa, providing our drinks after we had made our way back to the villa in the evening, chatting away with us, you will not meet any member of staff anywhere more attentive. The villa is 5 mins down the hill from Desenzano train station. A 5 minute walk from the villa to the centre and all the ferry terminals which take you across the lake. We throughly enjoyed our stay here and wouldn’t hesitate to go back!,

The owner was very hospitable and welcoming. Breakfast was very rich and delicious. There was a wonderful swimming pool. The interior of the house and the garden were beautiful. The room was spotless clean and comfortable, also the bed was very comfortable. The location is absolutely perfect - close both to the train station and to the lake. We enjoyed every single minute that we spent at this place and we would definitely like to return.

Air-conditioner was right opposite the bed. It was too hot to sleep without it and too cold to sleep with it.

The location was great close to the restaurants, bars, ferry and train station. Great shower and comfortable room. Breakfast was lovely and It was great to have use of a pool. We were able to leave our lugguage there on the last day until our train arrived.

It would be great if the pool opened earlier I would rather have a swim before breakfast then be able to set out for the day.

Lots of choice for breakfast and plentiful. Location was perfect and quiet, a small 5 min walk down to the town. Room good size with large bathroom with good mirrors.

Lots of notices for extra charges for items, should you be at liberty to use them, which I have not experienced elsewhere.

Breakfast was limited, could do with offering a wider selection of fresh meets and cheeses. There was also no toaster. However, they were willing to make extra if required or not cooked how you liked it (eg crispy bacon)
