This place is amazing if you are traveling with a large family. We have four kids so finding a single hotel room in Italy is very difficult, but we were able to get a single room with five beds and a pack n play. The room was very simple, just the beds and a bathroom, but it was large and airy with high ceilings and spotlessly clean. The grounds are beautiful and the location is great. The breakfast was very simple but it was fine. Overall it’s not a luxurious place but it is very nice, very comfortable, super clean and a really great base for exploring Florence. We also appreciated that they had parking that was able to accommodate the van we rented, which isn’t always possible in Italy especially in the old sections of towns.

The breakfast was a little too simple, but not bad.

Very nice to be in Oltrarno (across the river from the craziness of the main tourist sites), but easy walking distance to everything, plus there are many nearby restaurants and bars (we highly recommend Le Volte Firenze). And if the timing is right for you, don't miss the Brancacci Chapel (Masaccio's breakthrough frescos), right on the same square as the hotel.

As other reviews have noted, sound does travel from one room to another. Didn't bother us, as our neighbors were quiet. Doesn't have high end amenities, but you don't go to Florence to spend time in the hotel fitness center.

Great location. Plentiful breakfast and helpful and friendly staff. The room was simple but clean, and it had everything we needed. The casa itself, plus the grounds, are beautiful.

The square where we were located was very loud, even until 2:00/3:00am, and we could not keep the windows open for fresh air because of the noise. Of course, this is not a critique of the casa itself, just that the location was lively and did not allow for great sleep. Perhaps a room on the back of the casa would be better.

The stay was really wonderful. It definitely exceeded my expectations. me and my family stayed there for 2 nights. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful for suggesting good restaurants and tourist spots. There were quite a lot of good restaurants to enjoy the traditional tuscany food nearby. The breakfast coupons were provided from the reception and could use it in the bakery at the corner which was really a wonderful place. The beds were really comfortable and the bathrooms were renovated. The bathroom had only the shower, not the hand shower, which could have been included. The rooms were kept really neat and cosy. We really enjoyed out stay.

We liked the location on the other side of the river which made it quieter, but still walking distance to everything. It was a very charming place, full of character. The room was a nice size for a family of 5 and they were very diligent about cleaning every day. The front desk being 24 hours was helpful and the staff were very nice answering questions. The included breakfast was also good, and a nice touch that they have a table reserved for each room.

The air conditioning didn't work quite as well as we would have liked but not a problem.

Overall, I really liked the building, and the people working there were all nice. It was better than expected. Lovely, historic building Good location on the West coast of Arno Good size of the room Breakfast had chickpeas, those were great Everything as described in the ad

Not that much choice at breakfast, there were chickpeas, which was good, but no boiled eggs, and the croissants were a bit off. Some of the fixtures in the bathroom were showing signs of wear.

The staff was very friendly, the breakfast is really good, the courtyard is beautiful and there is lovely Catholic artwork displayed throughout the hotel. The location can't be beat either - it's quiet, and there are a laundromat, a supermarket (Conad), a great gelato place, parking if you have a car, and several authentic restaurants that cater to locals within walking distance of the hotel. When I come back to Florence, I will stay here again.

Staff were SUPER kind and helpful. They provided maps and took time to explain good places to visit. The breakfast was very well done and the gentleman that was in charge of waiting on tables, clean-up and restocking did a nice job. The room was a good size for a family.

The mosquitoes were a pain in the evening, as the windows don't have screens. Location, for the most part, is rather quiet... but many ambulances seemed to be going all throughout the nights we were there.

Casa Santo Nome di Gesu was truly an oasis for me during my final days in Italy & I am grateful to the entire staff for welcoming me into their beautiful convent/hotel. Francesca was a total delight & so helpful in every way! I watched her interactions with others while awaiting my turn & saw the joy on everyone's faces as she not only took care of their needs but exceeded their expectations. I appreciated the very clean, spacious & calming spaces, including my own room. Anytime I return to Florence, I will also return to Casa Santo Nome di Gesu;-)

We liked the friendly front desk staff who spoke perfect English and showed us where all the main attractions were on a map .The room was clean and the beds were so comfortable, our room had a beautiful frescoe on the ceiling and beautiful antique furniture.Breakfast was great with fresh melons ,croissants, coffee juice ,mortadella, cheese, slices of bread with a toaster.

No coffee machine in room however there was a vending machine for tea and coffee on the first floor.
