The rooms are quite spacious, the facilities in the room were nice as well.

Guys sharing the room with are all nice but I feel it would be better if the hostel pays a little more attention to the gender ratio in one room, so I don’t have to be the only female in the room for three nights. Not an issue though, just feel it would be nice if it could be more balanced in some way.

I actually got to stay in a 4-bed female dorm. It was modern, had an excellent view, and lots of space for your belongings. The pillows were amazing, making the beds super comfy. The location was perfect and the cleaning was brilliant.

I stayed in a single room, which was quite large. The location was great and the room was basic but acceptable. The staff was friendly. Room was quiet.

I was disappointed that the cleaner would come in and turn the air conditioning off in the middle of the day, even when I told the reception that I did not need service. I understand the effort to be environmentally conscious and save money, but it was 36 degrees outside. There are also many steps to get to your room. This is not a problem for me, but could be for some.

The Suite with City View is very big, with a nice view to the Basilica de San Lorenzo. Windows are huge, bathroom is very good too. It's silent and could fit a whole family in it. The young asian girl at the reception was very helpful with tips about the city and a suggestion of itinerary in Firenze. The staff overall was nice. Also, very close to the market -- a good option for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

The city tax must be paid in cash, I haven't noticed that when I arrived. Usually, in Italy, I paid with my credit card. Also, be aware there are long and high stairs in the building, in order to get to Emerald Palace and your room.

From the room 10.there is a wonderful view for the Medici's Chapell.Everything is pretty close to the hostel, perfect choice for a short stay to discover the town. Restaurants are nearby too, if you wanna drink the morning coffee outside. . I tried many hostels before and this was one of the bests. Free coffee, tea in the kitchen and free towels. The rooms are clean and I found the beds comfortable. Very helpful, and charming italian guys in the reception by the way. 😅👌

Too cold the building and it would have been better if the staff look after more for the heating under the cold and rainy days. The check-out time is too early. Would be better change it at least until 11.

The room was clean and the bed comfortable. There was air con (a must at this time of year in Florence!) and I really appreciated having a separate bed and not a bunk bed. I loved the mezzanine and the view from the room was fantastic (overlooked markets and the basilica). The location was fantastic, I could pop in and out and be in town straight away without a long trek in (especially great when it was so hot). The free coffee was delicious and plenty of seating area, the outside terrace was a nice touch.

Being so central it was obviously going to be noisy. I didnt find the noise of people at night bothered me, it was the loud clanging of metal poles as the markets set up right outside the hostel every morning (about 6am?) that I couldn’t sleep through. Not for those who struggle with noise! There are a lot of stairs, but I was only on the first floor so this was okay for me.

Room was very spacious and the ceiling was gorgeous - the rooms are pretty old, but I think it plays into the atmosphere. About 10 minutes' walk from the main station and convenient for all the main attractions, it's also right in front of a church and the street market. There was also a small supermarket about less than 5 minutes away. Reception staff was very nice both during check-in and when I asked to leave my bag for a short while after check out.

The lockers in the rooms didn't have keys; there was also only one bathroom in the room, and since another person was showering I couldn't use it; I was told I could use another one (not inside the rooms), but that, too, was occupied with someone showering.

The location is so great! Close enough to walk (10 minutes) from the station whilst still in the heart of the northern part of the town. Everything is walking distance from here. The beds are also single beds (not bunk beds) which is nice to have to your own space. Aircon cools down the room enough for you to be comfortable, but isn’t freezing. The wifi is also great, and so are the staff.

Sadly, my room was missing a sliding door on the shower, so the water quite literally went everywhere. There are a lot of stairs to get up, but it’s also expected being such an old building. So just be aware if you have a large and heavy suitcase (I knew beforehand and was prepared)

Great Location, Friendly Staff, but Some Drawbacks We recently stayed at this hotel in the heart of Florence, the location was exceptional, within walking distance to the iconic Duomo and Ponte Vecchio. The staff were friendly, helpful, and made us feel welcome. But while it had its advantages, there were some areas for improvement. We booked a private room, which offered a fantastic view of the city. However, the room itself was just okay. The major issue was the air conditioning, which struggled to cool the room efficiently, leaving it hot and uncomfortable at times. (It was August) Another drawback was the lack of an elevator, which made it challenging to climb multiple stairs with our luggage. Despite these issues, the hotel's central location and warm staff made our stay enjoyable. If you're looking for a convenient base to explore Florence and don't mind a few compromises, this hotel might be a good choice.
