Centrally located, the B&B is right in the heart of everything! It’s a 10-minute walk to the train station, the Duomo, a little farther to Ponte Vecchio: the whole historical centre is just at the front door! The rooms were clean and modern, with a comfortable bed and lovely features such as free soft drinks and water in the mini-fridge. Mario and his assistant (I never got her name) were fantastic hosts: breakfast was simple, but good and Mario was quick to cater to my celiac diet with gluten free breads. I had the chance to chat with Mario in the mornings and to learn a bit about the neighbourhood and the city. As a solo traveller, the most important thing is to feel safe, and I never worried while staying here.

If you are a light sleeper, the noise from the market will keep you up. I put on a white noise app and slept like a baby.

Mercator Centrale is in a great location, close to the train station, close great restaurants, close to many tourist attractions. Mario and staff went above and beyond to make our stay memorable, providing lots of information regarding restaurants, places to visit. We highly recommended this accommodation. 👏

The accommodation is next to the market and can be a bit noisy for early morning setup. Although this did not bother us at all, as we are early risers and totally out the hotels control

I had a wonderful experience at this hotel. Its location within walking distance of the city center was a major plus, and I was pleasantly surprised to find a BnB that actually offered breakfast. The owner's excellent communication made the whole process smooth, and with plenty of restaurants nearby, I had a fantastic range of dining options. Would definitely recommend for a convenient and enjoyable stay!

The location was amazing. I had a little trouble finding it due to all the street vendors. The staff was very helpful in helping me locate it however. The place was spacious and clean with many amenities! I was only there for one evening but their curated tour of Florence helped me make the most of my short time! They put a lot of effort into caring for guests!

The appartment location is perfect, near to everything important. The room was clean and nice with perfect organization through keyless entry. Correctly working wifi. Excellent breakfast and pleasant helpful owner. Lot of information about restaurants, important things to see prepared on website by owner, which is really helpful.

Mario is a very gracious host and if asked will share tips on what to see and where to eat. We followed up on his suggestions and were not disappointed. A simple logistical point to consider, there is no lift (must be able to handle several flights of stairs).

We had a very good stay here, in the heart of the city, and easy to find. The personnel was very kind and the time spent there was a very good one. A cozy and modern place, a good find and of course a must for staying at our next visit to the city.

Everything was great. Very helpful and kind staff, Great location, lots of good restaurants as well as the central food market Is next to the building. Most of the attractions are within walking distance. I highly recommend this B&B.
