room too strongly scented, and system with leaving keys to the reception brought a bit sense of insecurity, because anyone could ask for it. Not sure if they memorize everyone and their room numbers or how they make sure they give the keys to the actual person staying in that room, since they don't check names.

The hotel is very very lovely and to be recommended. Location is perfect, very close to the center, maybe in around 7-8 minutes (walking) you reach the cathedral. Room is big and clean, we even got a room with a terrace, which was nice surprise. Breakfast not big, but you have everything you need! Wifi on the 3rd floor was with a good signal. Overall a very good hotel with a helpful staff.

Airconditionar in our room was not working properly and could not be regulated. Thankfully the reception staff was very helpful and immidiately gave us a Ventilator, so we can keep the room cold.

Rooftop bar - burgers were excellent, view of Duomo was breathtaking, reception staff was very friendly and helpful, location was perfect (short walk to train station, short walk to Duomo, museums, bridge)

this was the most expensive hotel of our trip. we thought it was a bit high for the accommodation compared to what we paid for in Rome and Venice.

Location is excellent for coming in from the transit center at Santa Maria Novella, just a short walk away. Breakfast was all you can eat with many options though it is paid. I wish the room keys were less big and bulky as having to carry around a heavy metal disc all day to get in to your room at night is kind of annoying. We had two different rooms, a single and a double, and the double was much better by far. The single was a very small room, the bathroom door swiped against the edge of the bed when opening. The double was almost twice as big and had a much better bathroom.

No ventilation in the bathroom of the single room, showers steamed up the entire bathroom and bedroom (whereas in the double room, the bathroom had its own window for ventilation). Bathroom in the single room also had a strange smell that I assume stems from the slow draining shower, but it was gone after housekeeping visited and cleaned up.

The jacuzzi was all heated and ready for us on the terrace with a spectacular view of the Duomo. This is truly an awe inspiring spot, and such a large terrace! Double sink bathroom was also great, and the room was very spacious.

The instant coffee was almost empty, old and stuck to the glass, no little cups of milk in room to add to your tea or coffee but I'm sure the staff would have brought some new coffee/milk on request. We were fine without. Air vent on the terrace situated perfectly to block part of the view when you're in the jacuzzi, could be reengineered to make the most of the view.

There were some mould around the window.

It was 100 degrees when I was there and I was concerned the ac wasn't going to be adequate because of other reviews but it was good. The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly. Was centrally located and very close to the train station which was nice. The terrace had a wonderful view and was a nice place to have a drink at the end of the day. I would return if I'm in Florence again.

The shower is small as many are in Europe. The breakfast wasn't impressive. Would have been nice if they had scrambled eggs.
