We loved absolutely everything! The rooms are spacious and impeccable in terms of cleanliness. The place is run by two people who have all the professionalism you can hope for and on top of that really care about Theo customers and accommodate every wish. - We could pick up a coffee prior to breakfast and have glasses from the bar for our “own” wine. The food in the restaurant is great and exceeds what you can expect from a hotel restaurant. Prices are more than reasonable They also have a vast selection of wine and again you can take the house wine, which is absolutely fine or chose from the local or international selection. The place is quiet and has a lovely pool and beautiful garden and terraces with lemon and clementine trees as well as many local plants. It feels like you are at the garden of Eden. Perfect for Lovers or old still-in-love couples like us. What you cannot do: walk into town. You need a car, as there are no boardwalks nor lights at night and it is a drive of around 10 minutes to go to town. However, you can always get a taxi for ca 25 Euros per trip.

Beautiful, secluded hotel - gorgeous outside seating and the views are unparalleled. Every staff member was lovely but, as another review says, Valentino is really the 'heart' of the place. Windy road to get up to the hotel which I wouldn't love to tackle at night so we opted to eat at the restaurant all three nights and each meal was truly excellent, and reasonably priced! Breakfast was good too. Would definitely come again.

Pool was cold, as you'd expect in Spring! Only small improvement could have been more of a bar area - staff very kindly brought beers to the outside patio when we asked but we felt bad taking them out of their other tasks.

We asked to change room which wasn't a problem. Nice hotel location. Nice view on La Spezia bay/harbor from the room's balcony, swimming pool, dining/breakfast area. Cleanliness of the hotel. Quiet room. Nice continental breakfast (smoked salmon). La Spezia is a nice town itself to go out for dinner, to shop, ... Central location of La Spezia: boat, train to Le Cinque Terre.

Perhaps each day also some meat on the breakfast ? During a few days CNG tankers where loading/delivering CNG gas in La Spezia CNG terminal. This causes some low humming noise which wasn't always pleasant.

A beautiful property with stunning views over the bay. The staff were all so friendly and the food at breakfast and dinner was always fresh and delicious. We loved being slightly remote, despite not having a car. The hotel driving service was perfect for us and we used it regularly for trips in the local area.

To be honest - absolutely nothing. We enjoyed the week that we had there and this was the perfect base.

Great location and our room had a beautiful view of the harbour. All the staff were friendly. We had a lovely dinner one night and enjoyed the breakfast every morning. We drove to La Spezia train station within 12 mins to visit Cinque Terre. The jacuzzi was fabulous after a big day of sight seeing.

The rooms were lovely with everything you need. Just the bed was a little hard and lacked sound proofing between the rooms especially in the hallway. Otherwise it was fabulous.

Was a rather challenging drive up to the hotel which is situated on top of the hill as the road is rather narrow. However, fortunately they do have a transfer available at a cost and overall, the experience is very pleasant. The view from the hotel is undoubtedly spectacular.

Hotel guests should be well informed of what to expect on the road situation leading up the hotel so as to be better prepared.

Great hotel with excellent facilities, offering a slow pace opportunity to relax and enjoy what Italy has to offer. The hotel is perfectly suituated as a base to explore the Cinque terries and Porto Venere. The staff are outstanding and do everything possible to help you enjoy your stay

To get the most from your stay you really should have your own car. Travel to La Spezia can only be done via taxi which can cost between 16 and 30 euros (no idea why such variation).

The hotel is small and cosy, super nice staff brings a relaxing atmosphere. The view is stunning and every room has a balcony with sea view. The pool is a highlight. The room was small but comfortable. The restaurant was really good.

Very difficult access without a car, I wouldn't recommend to go there without a car. We travelled by train and you can only access the hotel by taxi that adds around 25€ per trip. This makes it difficult to explore the region during the stay.

The property is beautifully maintained, very clean and creatively designed. Everything is very close to the pool- eating area, seating area, there’s a lot of space and yet it’s cozy. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Christina, the waitress is the best ambassador for the Villa and gave us lots of good tips on visiting different areas. The restaurant had a very gourmet menu and the food was excellent. The balcony overlooking the bay was ideal. The restaurant staff were very accommodating when we wanted to bring our food to the room.

You have to be prepared to take a shuttle or taxi, if you don’t have a car, anytime you want to leave the property.

Absolutely nothing, except a narrowish road that leads to the location. Drive with caution
