I stayed here in September (apologies for the late review!) for 6 nights and loved everything about the place. Antonella and Alessio are the most lovely hosts who welcome you into their beautiful home and garden and share their local knowledge. Antonella is also a tour guide and she pointed me in the direction of things I would otherwise have missed. The location is perfect - just inside the walls (you can see the trees from the garden), and it felt like I was living like a local using nearby bars and restaurants, but I could also get to the busier tourist sights within a few minutes walking. Enjoying the gorgeous breakfast of local delights (especially the buccellato!) in the garden sets you up for the day. And then there's the cherry on the top - the four gorgeous cats! I would thoroughly recommend B&B Casa San Jacopo al Giardino to anyone wanting to immerse themselves in Lucca life - it's delightful.

Our hosts were exceptionally friendly, generous, helpful. We got a very warm reception. Tipical small family hotel filled with kindness, beauty. Beds are supercomfy, breakfast is tipical Italian with great coffee. Location is perfect. Great place to stay at!

Everything was perfect from the owner hospitality and helpfulness to the standard of the room and bathroom. Plus the breakfast room was lovely! Perfect location close enough to the main attractions of Lucca but far enough away from the centre to be lovely and peaceful at night. We will definitely be going again and staying at Casa San Jacopo for sure!

Very authentic B&B in the City Center. The hosts were very kind, welcoming and helpful with advice on what to do and where to eat in Lucca. Even though its in the City Center, its still really quiet, because its situated in a less busy street. I would go back there anytime.

B&B Casa San Jacopo al Giardino Is perfectly situated just within Lucca’s city walls. It’s very comfortable, rooms are exceptionally clean and beds are good. Breakfast is simple bread, cake, fruit, yoghurt and coffee. The host is fantastic - friendly, knowledgeable and passionate about Lucca.

The B&B Casa San Jacopo al Giardino met all of our expectations.

The hosts were extremely nice and helpful. Loved the outdoor breakfast location and breakfast food was great. Did a side day trip while in Lucca to a beach in Viareggio and lovely town of Pietrasanta for a walk with modern art throughout the town. Don't forget to rent a bike and ride around the top of the wall.

Another mirror in the room would be nice.

Location was superb, on quiet street 2 minutes to the historic centre. Good shower and air condition were appreciated. Room spotless and enjoyed the continental breakfast in the garden every morning. Run by lovely family who gave us advice on what to see in Lucca & Piza.

Antonella and Alessio were very sweet, hospitable hosts of Casa San Jacopo. They provided excellent information about the various things to do and see in Lucca, as well as recommending good local restaurants. Antonella even booked concert tickets for us at the world renowned music academy. The casa is quaint and cozy, with a peaceful garden where we read and relaxed in the shade after sight seeing. The tasty breakfast of fruit, yogurt, coffees, juice, and local pastries was also served in the garden, making a nice start to the day. Casa San Jacopo is located near the city wall for easy access.

The only minor problem I can think of is the slow internet, which didn't work out in the garden area.
