The property is safe, clean, and very beautiful. The staff are very friendly & exceptionally helpful. The breakfast each morning was beyond my expectations. The beach is right across the street, restaurants are diverse and close. There's also a grocery store within walking distance.

My room was beyond my expectations, but I didn't look closely enough beforehand to realize the room has a very large spa tub, but no stand up shower. The spa tub did come with a showerhead to use, but you could only use it sitting down or the bathroom will get wet.

It is indeed very close to the sea. There is the design touch in the B&B.

The receptionist when we arrived was unfriendly. She was a kind of annoyed and was not interested to answer any questions. Especially parking - it was extremely difficult to find a free spot even in a payed area. Hotel has NO parking and is not assisting to provide one. Though only 3 rooms (including our) were occupied, we received a room with a view to backyard (to house construction) instead of the sea view. Stinky bath/jacuzzi not working properly. Better a shower indeed! I would not stay again in this place.

Rooftop pool was great. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. Great location, just a short walk to beaches and the historic centre. Breakfast and housekeeping staff were friendly and helpful.

At one point there was a group of very loud guests, a hen party that took over the pool area and the hotel staff just seemed to bend over backwards to their every need, neglecting other guests. This was a minor issue on what was our 3rd stay at the lovely Playa del Mar.

Really cute hotel in a quiet area of Monopoli - it takes 10 minutes to walk to the town. There is a lovely beach right across the street. It was off season so the beach was pretty empty. Room was nice too and I really loved the upper terrace with pool and sunbeds - you could just relax there all day long. Oh and the breakfast was phenomenal! So many delicious things with overview to the beach. It was really lovely experience.

The only thing that didn't went smooth was check-in cause nobody was picking up the phone so we were waiting in front of the hotel for some time.

Firstly, the staff were incredibly helpful with keeping in touch to make sure we’d know where to find the hotel and get parking outside. The location over the road from a wonderful sand beach and a short walk to the old town is perfect. Our view over the water was wonderful. The rooftop terrace for having a great breakfast and just chilling out on daybeds and cooling off in the pool is wonderful although the pool is not for swimming as it’s more a wading pool being 500mm deep.

The only thing we didn’t love in our room was the spa which took up half the bathroom space and which you had to sit in to use the hand held shower. Given there’s a spa on the rooftop it would have been more spacious and comfy for us if we had a stand up shower instead.

We loved our stay at Playa Del Mar. We had our own hot tub (in room) which was a fun experience. Between the hot tub, the rooftop pool (and beds) and beach across the road, any traveller looking for a relaxing holiday will find it here.

The shower in the bathroom was a bit odd. Likewise, it would have been nice to be able to control the temperature of the hot tub - we had to ask for the tub temperature to be turned up and down, which had a long lead time.

Rooms was extremely nice with the private hot tub, bed very comfortable, very clean, good breakfast in an extremely nice terrace with a stunning view of the sea. Nice view from the room as well. Bathroom has reasonable size. Very clean. Close to the center of monopoli, walking distance.

No private parking, tight access to rooms, no elevator

The Playa del Mar hotel is indeed a boutique hotel, with beautifully, individually designed rooms. We had a Sea View room, with a balcony, the beach being literally a stone's throw away. We had breakfast on the rooftop terrace, the presentation was wonderful & the staff could not have been more helpful. Free parking in the surrounding streets. Restaurants & the old town within walking distance. Ideal location & a wonderful find.

Loved it all but actually would have preferred a shower to a spa bath in our room.

The location was exceptional. Directly across the beach. Plenty of free parking around the building. The staff were lovely, friendly and very helpful

During hot nights the air conditioner wouldn’t go below 20 degrees. But you sleep with a light sheet over you so it’s not a big deal

We came here for my boyfriend’s birthday and couldn’t recommend it more! We overlooked the beach and the staff were really friendly. They even arranged a cake and Prosecco for my boyfriend’s birthday.

Nothing but just be careful of coming out of the jacuzzi with wet feet!
