We stayed in this hotel in August. We loved everything about it..the service..the room overlooking the square.. the food...the atmosphere. The hallmark of this hotel is service. The old fashioned attention to detail was a very welcome attribute in today's world. Our evening meal in the smaller dining room was beautiful. The ladies who cleaned our room were so kind and charming as were the people at the desk. The hotel was central to everything as the train station was only a short walk away. We certainly hope to be back soon.

There were no negative things about this wonderful, charming hotel.

The hotel is in a wonderfully central location. We decided not to hire a car as it was so near the train station however there were track works during our stay so no trains. We managed with buses and the funicular and we used a small local business to hire a car for a day. We were initially unhappy with our room as we booked a quadruple with a cot but there was not enough room for us all in the room. The staff we incredibly helpful and upgraded us to 2 rooms as soon as they could. The staff were fantastic the whole way through our stay. The breakfast was also very good and my kids loved the pool.

The facilities in the rooms could do with updating.

The breakfasts were really good and so convenient. The price of the dinner was a great bargain by the amount of the food you received. The rooms were comfortable and large. I loved the size of the bathroom.

Due to the time of year I was there the pool wasn't open. It would have been nice to just sit out there even though you couldn't swim.

The Staff were extremely helpful with information and always willing to help with any query. Location brilliant 3 minute from the station that will bring you to Pisa /Lucca and Florence for as little as 7 to 12 Euro return

The breakfast could do better with the hot food Scrambled egg and bacon every morning gets boring just change it with a bit of variety

Top location right on a lively square, stately Grand Hotel with charm, spacious room with high ceiling and wonderful rain shower. Parking with cheap hotel card everywhere nearby (blue lines) and delicious breakfast (including fresh fruit). Friendly hotel employees and nice (relative small) swimming pool.

Coffee at breakfast is not very good, although they offer for a bit more excellent coffee (2,50).

The location, the hotel, the staff, everything was terrific. I could not have asked for a better place to stay. Family friendly and the staff went out of their way to accommodate us. I can't wait to return. HIGHLY recommended!

Was a bit noisy during the day when the church bells were ringing.

The best location in the town, friendly and helpful staff, good breakfast, comfortable rooms. Everything was very good.

The refrigerator did not work, but it is not a must.

The quiet elegance and the classic design of the building and furnishing were first rate. It reminds an American of the hotels seen today only in old movies or films set in other countries.

Nothing comes to mind. I am smitten; this is my favorite hotel of all those I have stayed in.
