Good location, easy check in, provided with a map & key information to get my stay started Lovely hosts made sure everything was comfortable. Mario, Justine & the other gentleman ( argh can't remember his name!) were very personable & lots of fun. Great breakfast including cold meats, cheese boiled eggs, pastries lots of spreads some cooked local things, changing a little each day. So much effort was put in to make our stay great.Lovely friendly vibe very sociable. Stayed in the apartment with shared facilities but also it was a meeting place for guests in private rooms next door. International melting pot. Met so many lovely people from all over & of varied ages. This place attracts a great mix.Great stay Loved it. Highly recommend.

Really nice clean rooms, The most central perfect location, 10 mins walk to station, 10 mins to Ballarò market, 10 mins to the harbour, 10 mins to the Teatro Politeama. But most importantly the loveliest, most welcoming and accommodating staff! I had to change dates multiple times and they always made space for my request with kindness. Would definitely recommend! (Note: remember to bring your own towel) (Note: the breakfast is not always available)

This Hostel is simply amazing. The kindness of the owners is outrages. They put so much effort in this Hostel and you can feel it. Every morning Marco and his wife, they prepare a very delicious breakfeast (with amazing cornetto and homemade things)!! and you have the possibility to connect to people from all over the world at the breakfeast table but also talk to the owners and just enjoy the moment. The location is very nice, since its very central but not on the super busy street so the perfect mix. Everything is very clean and the atmosphere is friendly. It is a very familiar atmosphere. It feels you are home. If you are looking for a unique experience in the heart of Palermo, connecting to locals, people from all over the world, having delicious breakfeast and stay central, this is definetely the place to stay :) Thank you so much for making me have such good memories from my visit to Palermo. Best regards, Monica
Everything was perfect.

Great location right in city with foot access to everything. I had the balcony view which was immaculate! The staff are helpful and nice. Met some cool travelers as well.
The only thing I will add that needs improvement are the bathrooms near the kitchen/common area. From what I saw, there was another apartment with multiple rooms. This apartment has amazing bathrooms that are recently renovated with bright lights. In the apartment I stayed(near the kitchen), the bathrooms were old and a bit dirty and the lights and not very bright.

This hostel was one of the best where I stayed so far. Everything was in few minutes walking distance, the staff was very friendly and helpful, Marco welcomed me with coffee and information about the city and Sebestian informed me about different beach options and available events. The breakfast was a great surprise and delicious every morning something different. Thank you so much for everything. The service was really excellent and exceptional here.

I had to book a private room because there were no beds available in the dormitory. My room was nice, exactly as in the picture. A balcony faces a busy and animated road, but if you close the windows, not much noise comes in from the street, which you can do comfortably because there is air conditioning. They offer breakfast and eal together, which I did not join because I needed an extra hour in bed. The number of showers was proportional to the number of guests, so it never got busy or crowded. The premises is walking distance from the "Quattro Canti" - very central - could get in and out as I needed during the day. The bathrooms were clean, and the room was comfortable. I could leave my bag with the hostel to go sightseeing after the check out, and they even gave me an extra key just for that, so I would be able to pick up my bag when I was done with wandering around. Very friendly.
There was a strange chair (hairdresser salon style) in my room, a little odd, and in the room, there was not a desk or table. Not a complaint, though. Everything was great.

Great place, it was perfectly clean and it was as confortable as you coud expect for its cost. What I liked the most was the shared breakfast every morning, large choices and perfectly set up for easy interactions. I eneded up going out visiting the city or going to the beach with some backpackers met in the hostel almost every day i stayed there.
Beds could be improved, at least the bed sheets. Not that they are dirty but a bit old and unconfortable on the skin.

The staff Justina and Mario were amazing. Breakfast wonderful, good quality and we all ate in the kitchen every morning like a family. I felt like I was staying in a cozy nice house in the heart of Palermo. A lot of people staying at this hostel were staying long term for weeks so it was nice seeing the same people most of the time. Had a very at-home feel. Excellent location, a short walk away to beautiful historic sites and the super fun lively nightlife. Due to a flight delay and complicated ride coming from the airport, I arrived much later than anticipated (almost 2am) and appreciated that Mario waited for me. I know they do not typically allow check-in past 12:30am. Beds were very comfortable, love how it was actual twin size beds not a bunk bed. Natural light coming in the rooms made it very nice, air conditioning worked great. Would absolutely stay here again. Great price for the value.
Specifically the all women dorm was right on the street and you can hear the music every night so loudly so it was difficult to sleep. Next time I will use ear plugs and it should be fine. Additionally, the shower pressure in the bathrooms for the dorms was very weak and hard to rinse out my hair thoroughly. A couple times when the showers were occupied, Mario let me use the other shower where the private rooms were which had much better water pressure.

Very well located property. A 10 minute walk from Palermo Station and a short walking distance from the main streets full of attractions, restaurants and nightlife. I stayed in the female only, three bed room and quickly made friends with roommates. I like that they are not bunk beds. The rooms are a comfortable size and are clean. Lots of reviews complain about noise from the streets, but I didn't find that it was bad. There are two washrooms and one shower area with two showers. The hostel felt very safe. The bedroom doors do not lock, but they provide lockers with locks provided. It's a small, friendly hostel with hosts that are very kind and genuinely interested in helping you discover Palermo. They cook breakfast every morning (included) that is very tasty. I would stay here again in future.

The hosts Justina and Mario were absolutely lovely and very helpful. Via Zara hostel is very welcoming and homely, and is in a very central location, literally across the road from Via Vittorio Emanuele (one of Palermo's main streets). The free breakfast provided was plentiful, with a wide selection of delicious food and drinks available. The facilites were excellent, with lockers, sockets, air conditioning, wifi, and hangers etc. The rooms and bathrooms were very clean and cleaning took place daily.
Night-time can be very noisy as the hostel is very close to the main party area. The wooden doors on the balconies do not block much of the sound of music and car horns. For me this was not a problem as I am a deep sleeper but it could be annoying for some.
