This is a lovely boutique bed and breakfast right on the seafront between San Vito and polignano a mare. It has been recently developed and the rooms, despite having a subterranean air due to lack of windows, still feel airy as the lighting is excellent. Breakfast is taken in the pretty garden and there is a wide variety of fruits and local produce, pastries, cereals and hot dishes on offer. The sea views from the rooftop terrace are glorious and available to all. Only breakfast is available in the hotel but the restaurants of polignano di mare are a pleasant half an hour walk away and there are bars in San Vito, a short walk in the opposite direction.

The sea view suite was neither! the presence of the sofa in an Italian hotel room appears to immediately confer suite status 😂 and the sea was only visible through 3 tiny portholes in the wall which were concealed behind movable wooden fishes. We felt this was disingenuous to put it politely so it's probably not worth paying extra for this room. The wardrobe is a rail. The bathroom was cramped with little storage space and a large shower with disco lighting and complicated controls. The overhead rainforest shower in particular sent out Jets in random directions which made it difficult to keep your face dry if required. It would also have been nice to have hair conditioner and body lotion provided.

Lovely hotel with the most welcoming staff who really went above and beyond. We were offered a welcome drink on arrival, and the hospitality just continued. The owner even brought us lunch and a glass of wine one of the days when we were relaxing on the roof terrace! The roof terrace was an amazing amenity. The room was well furnished and the whole hotel felt stylish and relaxed. Breakfast in the garden was lovely. There are bikes to use for free to cycle into town (10 minute cycle), otherwise the location is a 35 minute walk from Polignano a Mare. There is free parking within the gates of the property.

It wasn't an issue because we were told in advance, but we had to check in at the other 'sister' hotel location, before following one of the staff in the car to this location. Again, it wasn't a problem because they were clear in advance, but any drinks you have at this property have to be paid for at the end of your stay by cash. It doesn't have a manned bar / restaurant as it is a small, family run property, but if you would like to order a drink you can just message!

The top aspect of our stay was definitely the welcoming owners / staff ! It felt super friendly immediately, we could really feel that they liked welcoming people, we were truly taken care of, and it wasn't always the case in Italy !! From the smiles to the visit, the fruits and tea, the chat, etc. This only would make us come back ! The garden, location, design inside and outside at the Marsento location was amazing. Tasteful colors and furniture, lots of space, flowers and trees, chill out area in the shadow, and a beautiful rooftop terrace directly overlooking the sea. We only stayed for one afternoon but love every second of it !

The sleep / night setting could really be improved and we were a bit disappointed by that aspect unfortunately. The description said "extra large double bed", we expected a king sized bed, but it was barely a queen size... Maybe this is cultural, but we definitely expect a larger bed if it is described as "extra large" ! Also, the room was full of little lights either from inside the room or coming from outside (only curtains to block it).... and noisy !!! There was a constant "blowing" noise; we could not determine were it came from... So the sleep wasn't of the best quality unfortunately. I think that place could really be exceptional if these "sleep" aspects were properly taken care of !

Lovely property! Absolutely beautiful. The breakfast was amazing and the table setting transported us to a gracious time of elegance, even on the beach. Staff was great. Location was wonderful.

The step to bed area and particularly, the small step down to the bathroom. The step to and from the bed area was obvious and a railing was nearby. The small step down to the bath area was unexpected, particularly due to the pattern of the floor tile. It was a problem. I suggest artistic signage.

the location is right in the water which was amazing. there is a door that goes straight to the sea and a private terrace that overlooks. the property is stunning, the breakfast was great and the staff was incredibly kind and helpful. the property is a bit of a drive away to the main center but was a plus for us as we didn’t want to be right in the thick of it. the property also provides bikes if you don’t have a car but if you don’t have one I don’t think I’d recommend this location. there is a sister b&b closer that we would love to stay at next time. the property is also very secure which is great thanks to all the staff for making our stay so lovely!

something to note is check in is at a different location. just something to plan around but overall not too much of an inconvenience

This place is fantastic and the people were so friendly and helpful. The room was beautiful, with wonderful attention to detail and the bed was exceptionally comfortable. There were tea and coffee making facilities and a mini bar in the room. The bathroom was great. There is a wonderful roof terrace and Marsento is set in a lovely garden, where an amazingly good breakfast is served. There is a door directly on to the sea, with fabulous swimming nearby (and rubber shoes provided for climbing on the rocks). There are bikes for guest use. We couldn't have asked for more.

We loved everything.

We felt most welcome and as part of the family that runs this accommodation. All were very kind, welcoming, beautiful people. The breakfast resembled a wedding in the form of a presentation. And it was very tasty, rich, one of the best I've ever had in a hotel. All crowned by the loving and helpful supervision of everyone we met here.

Maybe it's just that we couldn't spend more nights here.

Small and intimate in a lovely location, service and staff were helpful and friendly. Breakfast was amazing with a good selection of everything you would want.

Room comfortable but a little small for me and with little room for your things but quite adequate for a short stay. I didn’t like the steps around the small room, risky for elderly guests, especially at night.

The staff and owners are really friendly. The direct access to the beach is great value for the location. Big attention to the details. The entire structure is for just 3 rooms so all the common spaces can be enjoyed almost exclusively. The entire stay felt like VIP treatment.

The room we had (Helios) is not really big and due to local rules has no windows. Apart from that really nothing to mention.

Giacomo, Antonella, Feliciana, Anna Maria and the other Antonella all made our stay at this beautiful place a top notch experience. A true concierge service B and B. By the time we left we felt like family. Breakfast was the freshest fruits and tastiest Cornetti. Wonderful, friendly people, gorgeous location, close to Polignano a Mare and its excellent restaurants, beaches and views. If you luck out and find a room available here, book it.
