This is probably the best B&B we’ve ever stayed in. We had a lovely room with a balcony to sit out on and soak up the atmosphere. The minibar is a extremely well furnished with everything you’d need for a nice drink in the room, both alcoholic and non. The attention to detail in all respects is second to none and the breakfast (completely different every day!) was absolutely exceptional, with both sweet and savoury options. The owners were very exceptionally helpful and friendly; nothing was too much bother for them. A great example for everyone in hospitality.

There was a little noise from the road below (no cars, just people enjoying themselves) but when we shut the windows and shutters and turned on the (very efficient) aircon, it was fine.

My wife and I spent 2 weeks in Puglia and stayed at multiple B&Bs/hotels. Quintessenza Luxury Domus was the best of the them all. We were greeted by the owner, Carola, at the main road, outside of the center of town where the hotel is located. She was so nice and helped us carry our bags to her property. The location is right in heart of town where all the life happens. The views are super cool and allowed us to really soak in Polignano a Mare. We stayed in the room with a bath tub which was the icing on the cake. Most importantly, Quintessenza has the most comfortable beds in all of Puglia hands down! Carola gave us a ton of local recommendations and even made reservations for us at some delicious restaurants like Jamante. Her father Nuncio, was also so welcoming. He hosted us during breakfast and truly made us feel like guests in their own home. The breakfast is to die for as well. They meticulously source all their offerings from local producers so their guests can get a taste of the real Polignano a Mare. I cannot wait to come back!

This was such an incredible place to stay in the middle of Polignano a mare! The owner and staff really made it special! The breakfast was THE best we had in Italy. Such variation and new dishes coming out each day. The ingredients were all incredibly fresh and home made. The location was fab - right in the middle with a mojito bar outside. The roof had a nice view of the ocean Very comfy bed and pillows

Because it’s in the middle of town - can get a little bit noisy. We closed the wooden covers and it was fine. Our room was smaller compared to some of the others but totally manageable as we had a cute little balcony. Even with these bits I still rate it a 10 and would come back again and again

OMG if you get the chance, you have to stay here. Accommodation & location both amazing. The breakfasts are the best in Italy & the homemade tiramisu cake is to die for. Everything is 5 star & would return in a heartbeat. Carola is the perfect hostess & the staff are all very friendly & attentive to your needs. Would definitely recommend to anyone staying in the area.

Quintessenza Luxury Domus is such a special place. Everywhere in the hotel was absolutely spotless, its a family run business and all of the staff are the friendliest people you will ever meet. They go above and beyond for their guests and make you feel like part of the family. They arranged our transfers to and from the airport and let us leave our luggage there after check out so we could spend our last day exploring without taking it with us. We stayed in the room with the balcony which was so gorgeous and the air con was brilliant. There was 6 of us that stayed here and we very much enjoyed relaxing on the roof terrace. Polignano a mare is an amazing place to visit and so lovely to just wonder around and soak it all in. The breakfast at the hotel is incredible - cheese, pastries, breads, cakes - the service at breakfast is also exceptional with nothing ever too much trouble. If you are visiting this gorgeous city you will not be disappointed by staying here, its right in the centre of the old town but the beach is only a 5 in walk away.

There was nothing I didnt like

We just completed a fabulous stay at Quintessenza Luxury Domus in Polignano a Mare. This little gem of a hotel is tucked down a cobblestone street right off of one of the main piazzas so it has easy access to everything. It has light and airy decor, and the owners are really wonderful and welcoming. It felt like we were visiting family! Bed and pillows were very comfortable, and the windows shut tightly so there’s no external noise at night. One of the best things about it was the amazing breakfast spread that is set out every morning. Freshly made savory items and baked goods are different each morning, and they even home make their mozzarella and their own jams and marmalade. It is an amazing find and we highly recommend it!

The hospitality at Quintessenza is second to none. They treat you like you’re part of the family which was so special. The breakfast spread and the love and care that goes into the food is incredible. I couldn’t recommend them more highly, if we ever come back to Puglia, I’d stay again.

Everything was great, there was a little bit of noise given the central location, but this is to be expected when you stay in the heart of the city!

This bed and breakfast was beautiful. Our room was lovely and the interiors are really tastefully chosen. If we were to go back to polignano we would stay again. I loved the jacuzzi in the room and the bed was so comfy. The family who owns this place are the sweetest people. They were so helpfull and friendly, making sure we were happy at breakfast, and made sure i had gluten free options. Carola thankyou so much for all your advice and help with restaurant reservations. And Nuncio we love you and will definetly miss you. In 2 days you touched our heart. Hope to see you again🙏🏼

Absolutely nothing

I can not recommend this hotel enough. It is a family run business and I see that they are truly interested in ensuring guests "start their day with a smile"!. I desperately tried to stay away from Maria's baked goods but it was impossible. The breakfast was amazing and if I asked for something in particular, it was on my table the next day.

Every morning, the breakfast was a great experience thanks to the quality and quantity of the food, not to mention the endlessly kind and helpful hosts. And let's not forget that my wife's food intolerance was also taken into account, and she received very delicious meals every day. The location of the accommodation is simply perfect, with all the spectacular and exciting sights within walking distance even with children.
