Was sceptical before we arrived and was pleasantly surprised by the place. It was in a brilliant location with loads of restaurants and bars nearby but it wasn't in a noisy area. Facilities were basic but all you needed. The air con was brilliant considering it was 35. For the price I thought it was decent.
The Italians aren't fond of toilets and decent plumbing so expect a wobbly toilet seat (most bars/restaurants you'll go to won't have one so appreciate a wobbly one) and the shower wasn't great but it worked.

The space is generous… very Roman, quite rustic but we liked it. The terrace was a beautiful surprise… fantastic breakfast & the view is superb. Only wish we had realised sunset drinks are served here too.
There wasn’t anything we didn’t like. The place is rustic which might not be for everyone but if you are open to something a little quirky, like a big space vs a poky, “vanilla” hotel room, this is great for the location, the ancient Roman feels & lovely staff. The only thing I’d recommend is more mirrors in the room we had, a full length one would be handy in the entrance hall, maybe some additional light source in the main room.

There is little to fault this accommodation. It’s in a great area, most attractions are within walking distance. Check in and breakfast are at the sister property just around the corner. Rooms and facilities are as seen in the listing for the hotel. The rooftop terrace breakfast was spectacular - a view that you’d usually have to pay for. Breakfast is a buffet of croissants and pastries and delicious coffee. Staff were helpful and spoke great English, the gent from The Philippines that showed us to our room was one of the friendliest, most helpful member of hotel staff we have met in all our time of travelling. We were disappointed not to see him on our last day to wish him well. The room was noisy at times, you can hear all the sounds from the streets below but having been to Rome before was totally expected. It’s a living city.
The bed itself was disappointing compared to the decor and look of the rest of the hotel. It’s a mattress on a metal frame - we were expecting a more luxurious bed in keeping with the rest of the hotel.

The decor is amazing, and was the reason we chose it. Check-in was very easy and very close to the place you're staying, and the room has everything you need, including a little fridge, towels, and little shampoos. It's in a great central location and it was fun to stay somewhere with such weird, imposing decor (including a massive cardinal staring down at you over the bed!).
The street outside is very noisy, even during the week in November, with groups of tourists walking down at night and when the street cleaners come early in the morning, so bring earplugs!

The location was excellent, close to basically everything but still on a street quiet enough. The room was large and the beds comfortable. (There were luckily two pillows to choose from as the other one was way too hard for our taste.) Breakfast on the roof terrace was nice and quite good value for the money. It's not a full Scandinavian style breakfast buffet, but it still offers enough choices.
The shower had very bad pressure so we ended up taking baths instead. There was also something strange with the water temperature but if you let it run for a while you got an even temperature. There was also not the usual tea/coffee supplies that you usually find in hotels which could have been nice. The windows are thin, so some noise from the street can be heard even though overall it was a quiet enough street. Also the air conditioner was a bit noisy.

The room had fantastic character and was great value for money. The staff were really friendly, helpful and accommodating to requests. I was able to leave my bags there after check out. There's a bus stop close to reception to get to and from Termini to take the bus or train to the airport.
The Wifi in the room wasn't great. I had to stand near the door to get a strong signal - they need an extender as the wifi is in the corridor outside the room.

The staff was very kind and helpful, the room's atmosphere is great, location is perfect and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast and the restaurant is really good and the rooftop terrace is priceless.
Rooms are a little run down, the windows are old so the street noise is not dampened at all, which caused some sleeping difficulty (fortunately we stayed only one night). Cleancess was okay, no serious issues, but not perfect.

We loved this hotel for our first night of vacation in Italy. The location by the Piazza Navona is fantastic - easy walking to many sites and places to eat. The hotel building is on a quiet alley. There was an elevator to the room if needed and the room for 4 was huge plus an entry room and separate bathroom. The decor is period style and fun - foreshadowing palazzos we would see on vacation. The woman at the front desk (you check in at a sister hotel around the corner) could not have been more kind or helpful and we were able to store our luggage the next morning until we left the city. Breakfast for an extra fee on the roof of the sister hotel was fantastic - gorgeous views, a large and varied spread with sweet and savory offerings and was also tended by a very efficient and friendly staff person. All in all, we wish we had more days to spend there than one night. The price was an excellent value.
I am sure the pull out sofa for our teen children was not the most comfortable. Two full or queen beds would probably have worked better for our family but does not impact our overall impression of our stay.

Breakfast was very good. Good choice of foods. Amazing view from the terrace. Check- in and check-out process was easy. Reception staff were very polite, professional, helpful and nice. Shuttle service arranged by the hotel- worked well. Perfect location- we could walk to most of the attractions. Also hop on-hop off bus stop nearby.
It was a bit dark in the room, even during the day. I think that a large mirror would be useful, there was only a small one in the bathroom. Iron not available.

Such a character interior! We loved the quirky Italian decor which made the room very unique. Breakfast on top of the hotel was fabulous with magnificent views over the centre of Rome, and the breakfast room staff were more than helpful and professional.
Lighting in the room was a tad dim. Could do with one brighter light to dim for a more romantic mood. Reception was a little curt - perhaps a holiday for the receptionist could be due soon before the pressure of the summer season hits? The room was a bit noisy with street antics below in the early hours, but for such an idyllic location it was a small concern only for us.
