A 6 min walk to Termini Metro (both A & B line and fast train to rest of Italy as well as FCO) one way and the other way next street loads of restaurants. Good basic breakfast with cereals, cold meats and cheeses and fruits. Lovely garden to eat in. We felt safe and walked from metro at night with no issues. The size of the room was adequate as we only slept and used the shower and had breakfast. Would recommend and consider staying again as no issues at all. We stayed 6 nights.

Nothing - it was perfect for the price especially in June / July peak season. It’s not the Mercure! (We didn’t expect that either)It’s a perfect size for 2 people in a great location near the main metro and comfortable bed and shower and AC was fine in summer.

On Booking.com, the hotel is listed as 'Hotel Select Garden' but the name on the actual hotel building is Hotel Astoria Garden. This caused confusion when I arrived. I wasn't sure that I was at the correct building. So, perhaps change the name on the Booking.com listing. You organised a transfer for me from the airport (thank you), but the driver was quite rude, drove dangerously and then got upset with me when I questioned whether he had dropped me at the correct hotel. He was very rude. Not a good first impression for a foreign tourist coming to Rome.

The breakfast was plentiful, the staff kept refilling it continuosly. The staff (bar tender, cleaner, receptionists, kitchen staff...) all very kind and very helpful. Thank you so much everything! The garden's trees provide shades and its pleasure in the hot weather. We love it. The hotel is near the Termini station. Our room opened in the garden and it was very silent. The street of the hotel is not too busy either. The bed was comfortable, the room was clean. The air conditional works. The room wasn't big, but it wasn't annoying.

Amazing location minutes away from Termini from which to explore Rome. Excellent value for money. My room although small was charming as it overlooked the garden. It was very clean plus the fridge was great to have. Breakfast was fabulous, plenty of selection of hot and cold foods and all included in my room rate. The staff were all friendly and professional particularly the waitress in the bar where the food and drink were good value. The food was tasty and well presented.

I was asked by the receptionist to pay on arrival even that I had already paid booking.com, he did apologise once I showed him proof of payment. Without this I would have had to pay twice. I don't know if this was an error by the hotel or booking.com. There was no menu in the bar for the food, only a QR code to scan to download it, which my phone wouldn't do. This made ordering difficult as I couldn't access the full menu

The location near Termini Station made this a perfect starting point for the rest of our travels. This hotel was nice and clean, had ample supplies (blankets, pillows, etc.). The breakfast buffet was very nice and included all of our favorite foods. The hours for the buffet were perfect; allowing us ample time to enjoy breakfast before catching our train.

The general guest areas were extremely clean and show really well. On approach to our room, on a lower level, the sight of building and cleaning materials in the hallway adjacent to our room was kind of a turn-off. They could have been disguised or hidden from view. If that's the worst issue, it's no big deal.

This is my go to hotel in Rome. Dog friendly. Great location in nice weather their garden is a special treat.

When we checked in I tried to book a future stay for a friend. On my travel from Puglia I had gotten a message that a friend will be in Rome for 4 days next week. She had wanted a hotel recommendation. They said they were full. I went on booking.com and there they had rooms available. So I booked on booking.com. But I feel a little upset they wouldn't give me the courtesy of an in house booking. Maybe a contractual thing with booking.com. ???

The hotel is very close to Roma Termini, literally a 5-10 minute walk from the train station even pulling luggage! The room itself is quite basic but the bed was comfortable ( I like a firm mattress so if you prefer a soft mattress may not consider it as comfortable) and the shower was consistently hot which is really all I look for in a room. The room has air-conditioning which is a must in summer The breakfast was the best I had in all of my stays in Italy and I had the complimentary breakfast everywhere I went.

The only thing I that threw me and to be aware is that at street level the hotel is not called Hotel Select Garden..it's called Hotel Astoria Garden. I probably walked up and down the street for a good 20 minutes ( longer than it took me to get there) to finally walk into Hotel Astoria Garden to ask for directions and they said 'oh, it's here!'

Breakfast was everything you needed before exploring Rome for a day. Restaurant has nice cocktails. Staff is very solution oriented and responsive. Location is very central and can easily access train and subway.

We initially got an incorrect room but it was remedied right away. One day we left a little late and room cleaning was missed but they got us fresh towels and supplies the minute we asked for them.

I had to tele-work during the late hours (12-3) and the staff was very accommodating. I worked in the lounge because i didn't want to disturb my family. The staff check in to see if I needed coffee. I was so lucky to have such a beautiful space to work. The garden outside is lovely. The hotels in that area are generally older. Felt like an old movie. I would stay here again.

They kept the place pretty clean but it was still sort of old smelling mixed in with chemicals. If you are sensitives to scents, it may be a problem. However, in my visit to Rome prior, I have encountered this problem at other places. It is the old hotel smell---in a way, can be a charm in itself. :)

Located just east of Roma Termini the place has been combined with the hotel beside it, the Astoria Garden & features a beautiful courtyard garden. Every morning a really nice breakfast was offered in the basement, which opened onto the courtyard garden.

While the hotel offered a great location, a good price & good facilities, they only offered one pillow per bed, no comforter & the water never quite was hot enough to enjoy a good shower.
