Room was good, if a tiny bit smaller than we would have liked. That said, it was very comfortable and came with a large outdoor terrace as well as being close to all facilities in the hotel. Breakfast was provided and the buffet was ample and varied. The bar area was superb and service super friendly and accommodating with the bar staff mixing some lovely cocktails for us. Pool was compact but delightful and the size was not really an issue as the kids loved playing and swimming there and there were ample sunbeds and lounging areas. The staff were excellent - friendly and helpful at all times and really went out of their way to help whenever asked.

Not much we didn't like to be honest - it's hard to fault Hotel: The Building - the location is good, the facilities are good and the staff are excellent. A good 4-Star hotel would would be my overall verdict.

The pool was about 10m long just about ok for laps, gym was small with a good running machine. Breakfast was generous. Overall good venue, and convenient with some easy-to-access local restaurants. We would go back again.

Negatives were very minor, overpriced soft drinks (€5), cold showers for pool, no easy to access drinking water in gym or near pool, hard beds, mosquitoes, lack of space in room fridge to store own items (over stocked with minibar items), glitchy electrics. But these were all minor, we would go back again.

The hotel was spotless and the beds were very comfy! We arrived early and could not use the room yet so spent some time around the pool and ordered some food. The service was really fast and the food was fantastic, I only got a margherita pizza but it was really tasty! The waiting staff were so friendly and helpful, always asking if we needed anything etc., but I do wish I'd brought some change for tips as it's not really something you'd think of when nipping down to the pool. The pool really was a great escape from the heat when we stayed in June. Sometimes the sun loungers are all being used but that was never really an issue for us. The pool I believe is not heated but you acclimatise quickly enough, it's under a bit of a balcony so isn't heated by the sun either but that's not really a problem if you're trying to cool down anyway! The room itself was nice with little flowerpots on the windowsill (a cute little touch!) and the waterfall shower in the bathroom was very welcome after the heat of Rome! The reception staff were very helpful in ordering taxis and giving directions, and were very polite throughout. I really enjoyed my stay. I had booked the hotel thinking it was really close to Roma Termini station, but it was about a 15 min walk. With suitcases this can take a bit longer, however Uber is operational in Rome so we got to and from everywhere easily. I do think the hotel is a little far away from the typical touristy side of Rome, but that means it's a little quieter and you get a good night's sleep. Just keep it in mind that if you're walking everywhere you might need to put a bit more time aside. I also noticed that there were a lot of electric scooters parked across the road from the hotel (which are not affiliated with the hotel) so if you needed to jump on one just to get a bit closer that's also an option.

As we were travelling around Italy, this was our one hotel we splashed out a little more on. A bit pricey and you could find cheaper but you pay for use of a pool in the capital city of Italy and for great service/rooms. Essentially, you pay for quality - so this isn't really a criticism!

Very nice hotel located to the east of the main attractions in Rome with all in walking distance; an hour for the Vatican/Basilica which was the furthest away. The reception staff were extremely polite, spoke extremely good English and were very attentive 24/7. The room was a good size. The communal areas were all well appointed and the resident and very talented pianist in the lounge/bar provided a very relaxing way to end to the day if you weren't tempted by what else Rome had to offer in the evening, which to be fair is a lot.

I was mildly irritated by the fact that I wasn't allowed to control the air conditioning from my room and had to call reception each time for any change. The rooms are very modern with very fancy light switches but the lights themselves do not provide effective lighting coverage especially in the bathroom where it was very subdued and harsh/unkind to skin tone and appearance, While the room was a good size, I did feel it lacked storage space for items not requiring to be hung in the wardrobe, feeling in some ways like accommodation designed for short-term business occupiers rather than for leisure/holiday use.

I loved that the shower was very big and had a waterfall showerhead. The room was clean and had a large widow that opened with a nice view. There was a t.v both up and downstairs in our split level room. The mini fridge was restocked daily. The outdoor pool was refreshing after long hot days of sightseeing. The food in the restaurant was delicious and the service impeccable. The staff at the front desk were extremely helpful and patient with our many questions. My daughter lost her wallet in a taxi and the hotel staff were able to assist her to contact the company and ultimately she got the wallet back.

We could not figure out if the sofa pulled out or not so we slept on it as is. The round bed was nice to look at but not that comfortable. Several times the t.v. would not work correctly but the WI-FI was good so we used our phones instead. I was disappointed that there was no rail to hold onto going up the stairs in the room which made it difficult for me. Also the outdoor pool was not easy to get in and out of though the area was very nice. I wish the indoor pool had been available at a lesser cost (25 euros/2 hours) because we would have used it.

The hotel was really lovely inside and it also had a spa. Great location as you aren't too far from alot of the tourist attractions and your only a 5-10 minute walk from the train station which is perfect. Also had alot of lovely restraunts close by. The room was such a great size and loved the layout. Was very cool having the touch screen lights! Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the staff were very friendly too. Made use of the spa which was really nice having the big jacuzzi. Would defos stay again :)

The only thing we didn't like was that the bed was rather uncomfortable.

Apart from the confusion on arrival with my family not being in the right room we had paid, after a long day of travelling with the UK airlines air control going down and my airline loosing my luggage the lovely lady on reception was very patient with me and was able to swap me to the correct (and fab 2 floor room) the next day…moving our belongings for me. xx All staff were amazing…couldn’t be more helpful and friendly.

Slightly dated, and we had to pay for use of the SPA, which we didn’t end up doing, or seeing, despite concession rate for staying there…would have like this to have been included in B&B rate and charging only for treatments

Nice period building but modern decor in rooms. Nice big terrace at rear to enjoy the sun. Restaurant area was light and spacious. Beds firm which was ok for us, it won’t be for others. Being round is just weird and unnecessary

Outside pool isn’t heated so was unusable. couldn’t bare feet in for more than 10 seconds. Aircon in room appeared to kick out heat upstairs in the bedroom even when set low or off. Wasn’t a problem with window open but when it rained and window closed it was really hot. It could be a fixable thing but didn’t have time to report until check out.

Breakfast was amazing, comfortable room. Location a little out of the centre but generally easy to get to things

We requested a double bed room and received to single beds put together. They offered to switch rooms after to accommodate.

Breakfast and evening meals, room and friendly staff. The hotel's policy on re-using towels. The piano player, Max, was very friendly, talented and entertaining. The bar and lounge area was beautiful.

Tea-making facilities in the room would have been a bonus. Also the wash basin in the bathroom didn't have a plug, which could have helped conserve water a bit. Although this is maybe rather old-school now, we were surprised the hotel didn't have stamps for postcards or offer to post cards for guests. Up-to-date information about local church services would also have been helpful.
