This was a great location and the staff was extremely accommodating and helpful. We were very happy with our room and the breakfast, which was delivered to the room at a time we specified, was excellent. The parking service (for a fee) was very useful since only cars with proper permits are allowed in Siena. You're able to drive your car through Porta Romana to the property, but this must be arranged first so that the parking service can promptly retrieve your car and park it properly outside the city gates. The car service is only available to about 6:30PM. Otherwise, you'll need to self park outside the city gates. We just notified the staff when we needed our car and they arranged for it to be brought to the property.

The location was perfect, close enough to the action to walk but far enough away for it to be nice and quiet. The breakfast delivery to the room was great and very flexible , the coffee was superb, and the amount of food kept us going until the evening. The Queen's room as lovely, the bed very comfortable, the shower hot and a good pressure. it was all cleaned daily and of course the view to wake up made it extra special. Take the chance to have the drinks on their rooftop terrace - especially on a good sunset night - unforgettable - thank you.

Only slight niggle was the wifi did not reach all through the room but strong enough by the shower!

We loved Sienna and this property deserves lots of the credit. Located 3-4 minutes away from the heart of the action, this historical place was comfortable, quiet, classy, and well priced. The staff, especially Eleanora and Gazzeh and even the second or third generation owner who lives here, could not have been more delightful, caring, and informative. Ask any question or for help…. your expectations will be far exceeded every time! In our travels, we rarely stay three nights at anyone location… we happily would have stayed here for four.

We actually liked everything and give this place our highest overall marks of any accommodation over our 23 day trip.

Hotel's location was excellent. Just minutes from the main plaza. The staff was friendly and very helpful. They actually reserved a wine tasting for us that exceptional. The rooms were clean and comfortable. AC in the rooms if you prefer to close them due to noise or heat. We slept with them open, the temperatures in May was great. Would stay here again.

I can't think of anything I didn't like. They did not have staff after 6pm but that was not a problem. They did not offer a restaurant but we prefered going to the plaza for breakfast and coffee. Parking was outside of the city which wasn't a problem. You can drive the car to the hotel to drop off luggage and then go park.

The hotel has a perfect location, just 5 mins from Piazza del Campo. The historic building has a very special atmosphere. Though it is old, there is a small elevator. The staff was very helpful and nice. Breakfasts (which are served to the room only), were plentiful, however unvaried. Due to the furnishing and the layout of the room, having breakfast for two may be challenging, as even for me alone this was a bit problematic.

You must climb 2-3 steps to reach the elevator on each floor. The elevator is very slow. The biggest problem is Wi-Fi. You get 3 free hotel wireless networks, but they are very hard to connect to and they break up a lot. I was traveling on business and to do any work from a hotel (e.g. checking email) I had to use a hot spot on my cellphone.

Good location. Our room was a suite which was nice, and had a good view.

Only breakfast option was room service you had to order the night before. Not even coffee! :( The parking was very expensive and price was not fully explained. It is 30 euros a night, and 5 euros for them to get your car each time you get it, and another 5 euros to bring it back to the lot. I would not recommend this hotel if you want to use Siena as a base to drive around Tuscany.

My husband, dog, and I spent the Easter weekend at Merli di Ada and felt like we were staying with friends. Based on the length of our stay, they kindly upgraded us to a larger room, which was greatly appreciated, and allowed us to spread out, which was especially appreciated when traveling with a dog. The view was breathtaking (2nd floor) and the personal breakfast brought to our room was worth the extra money. We'll stay again and highly recommend it, especially if you want to stay in the quiet part of the central city. They have parking too, which is a bonus!

No complaints!

I particuarly loved the location - so close to the campo. We were able to drive in and then leave the keys for valet parking. Excellent service even if a bit pricey at 30 euros per day. But worth it for us. The building is very old and atmospheric with heavy beams in the ceiling and a good hike up three flights of marble stairs. There is a small elevator for the luggage, which was a relief. Check in went smoothly; very friendly and efficient. I highly recommend this small, boutique hotel if you want to stay in an unpretentious place deep in the heart of fabulous Siena.

All good.

The breakfast was excellent. The location is excellent. The facility was extremely clean. The bed was adequate. The pillows were so-so. There was loud music from across the street that started at 11:00pm & did not finish until after midnight. I needed to sleep with ear plugs. There is a rooftop terrace with a lovely view, but hotel guests can only access it if you pay 35 euros for a drink & aperitif. It was an expensive for what you got. Also, you need to pay 30 euros to have someone party the car. I thought it was a lot of money.
