Its located in a small town that is so beautiful and the people are super nice, the room was amazing and staff was always reddy to help

only thing is there is no grocery store near the hotel

What did we like about the property? Absolutely everything!! I would recommend Hotel Désirée in Sirmione to anyone. Fantastic, helpful staff. A beautiful selection of fresh food at every breakfast. A great bar service (snack bar available too around the hotel swimming pool, although we didn’t use this facility). Plus, the location of the hotel is just stunning! An easy walk into quirky little Sirmione town centre & to Lake Garda itself. We could see the lake from our balcony & the sunsets were stunning. My partner & I were very sad to leave Hotel Désirée & would return in a heartbeat.

A tiny niggle - the shower pressure in the bathroom was very poor, making it difficult when washing hair etc. after a day by the pool.

Our room had a great balcony with lake view. Location to old town was great The head of front office Ms Ada was always extremely helpful during our entire stay and assisted with rail strike information to aid our onward travel plans

Very difficult to reach hotel location through barriers to the old town Better information from the hotel would have easily reduced the stress of our arrival Not a good way to start our stay The room was not lady friendly with no full length mirror and no dressing table mirror Only tea making facilities in the room with no coffee machine or coffee facilities which is highly unusual for Italy Only one single Vacant accessible Plug socket in bedroom for charging all our mobile devices At the reception area bar there was only one bottle of red wine available for the whole of our 4 day stay . New incoming order of red wine not available until another 6 days !!

The hotel has a perfect location in a calm environment, but really close walking distance to everything. Furthermore we got two rooms next to each other - as requested - and with a balcony with an almost magic lake view. We expected an OK breakfast of good quality. Then we were of course hoping for a really good breakfast. However the breakfast exceeded our highest expectations. They offered a breakfast buffet with a large variety and of high quality. The breakfast room is spacious with like a glass wall towards the lake. We actually extended our planned time att breakfast every day because it was such a good experience. Thank you Rosangela (Rosa)! You made our stay extra special. We first met you in the hotel bar and next at breakfast. Somehow you managed to quickly give attention to every person and their needs in the breakfast room, and at the same time keeping everything at breakfast perfect at all time. Travelling the world a lot for many years, you observe and also appreciate service of highest quality. Furthermore we had special requests that we were hoping for being possible, but didn't excpect to. But you, Rosa, resolved everything quickly, effective and always with a smile. You are an amazing ambassador for the hotel and a success factor for it, of course. Every staff member we met at the hotel made you feel welcome. So except from an optimal location for visitors to Sirmione, very good rooms and a state of the art breakfast, hotel Désiréé has staff that makes sure that your stay will become a really warm and great experience. We warmly recommend this hotel if you will visit Sirmione. We all loved our stay at hotel Désiréé! this was our first stay at this hotel, but surely not the last.

When your stay is so full of really good and memorable experiences it is very difficult to find something not to like. This hotel is simply an excellent choice if you are planning to visit Sirmione.

Beautiful hotel. Nice room. Good breakfast. Also nice that there is a bar where you can get sandwiches, drinks, bottle of water etcetera during the day.

Tip for the future of the hotel; realisation of covered parking spaces might me an idea in times of increasing incidences of hail storms. This will certainly be an advantage compared to other hotels. De route through the 'limitid traffic zone' is quite challenging! There are designated timezones in which you can access, however, only when the lights turn green. This takes a while because traffic from both sides is intermittedly let passed through. If you don't know this, you might wonder if it's ever going to switch to green. Just be patient. And then, be aware that there are A LOT of people on the narrow streets. Nothing is done to regulate this, you just need to pass through slowly.

The hotel is in a quiet location away from the crowds (which we absolutely loved) that flock to Sirmione but within a very short walking distance from the castle and all the many restaurants. It is quite a basic hotel that could probably do with some modernising but all the staff were extremely friendly and helpful, the rooms clean and the breakfasts good. We arrived by car and were lucky to secure a parking space outside the hotel but driving to it through the streets is not easy because they are very narrow and depending on the time of day, it can be quite a mission because of the sheer number of visitors!

Nothing really.

1 - Staff were attentive, friendly and professional. We would especially like to thank Valentina who went out of her way to make sure we had a really comfortable experience. That makes such a big difference to travellers. 2 - The room was wonderful, just as the pictures described it. It was clean, comfortable and a decent size for the 3 of us. 3 - The location is as good as it gets. Sirmione is a picturesque little town, we were a minute away from everything it offered. 4 - We couldn't use the pool (wrong time of year) - but Valentina and the rest of the staff were happy to serve us food and drinks (even when it rained for 10 minutes!) in the garden gazebo overlooking the pool. Perfect place to relax! 5 - BREAKFAST - the winner!! Beautiful spread of many different foods, fresh juices and a really welcome coffee service. We chose to sit in the outside part, and enjoyed one of the finest mornings we've had in a while. Loved it. Thanks Desiree - we'll be back again one day.

Unfortunate issue with our AC in the room (but time of year saved us)

A very good 3 star hotel. Well located in the old town. Large room with space for large cases, which we had as we had travelled from Australia. Good facilities overall. Very good breakfast included in the tariff. Great friendly staff & excellent pool, which we used most as it was hot during our stay. Slight down side was that the bar only served food until 5pm. However, there are many bars, Cafes & restaurants serving food within easy walking distance.

Hotel is based on the tip of the peninsula but within 5 mins walk to the local shops and restaurants. Hotel was clean and tidy. Room was a good size with comfortable bed. Breakfast was good with a large choice of cereals, fruit, yoghurts and pastries.

We had 3 large containers in the shower cubical, shower gel, shampoo & conditioner. All empty, we asked for them to be refilled and it never happened, luckily we had some left over bits from our previous hotel.

Stunning location with a pool! AMAZING friendly staff. They had a number which allowed you to text them to order room or pool service or any food. Breakfast was fantastic and the lady who served breakfast was fantastic, soooo friendly! The staff at the front desk especially the girl who worked the late shift during our stay were so friendly and helpful! The room itself was clean, large and you were provided toiletries and it had a mini fridge! The hotel also gave us a box of biscuits upon leaving which was such a nice touch. So close to all the local amenities too including Jamaica beach and the historical centre. I would 1000% recommend this hotel.

Small issues - no shower mat so I slipped in the shower and ended up with a nasty bruise. No drawer space either for your items. We were room 134 so the balcony isn’t great - totally shaded and has no view but that can’t always be helped, just meant we weren’t really wanting to sit on it which is a shame.
