Such a lovely place to stay. I was greeted by wonderful and helpful staff that gave me Maps of the city and advice on where to go. The room I had was a single and it was nice and spacious. very clean and modern. There is lift access to all floors. The breakfast was a buffet and there were lots of options of food and drinks. In terms of location it was perfect. Right in the middle of the city and easy to get around when the tides are high.

Only a tiny dislike. My room backed onto the outdoor restaurant area literally eye to eye.. which was slightly annoying as I like to have fresh air and natural light but couldn’t open anything without my privacy being invaded. But again a small dislike and would stay here again if I return.

Stayed in this hotel for two nights with husband and 11 year old son. Our room was exceptional with a fantastic view over the canal. The room had everything we needed and enough space for 3 of us. Bathroom was perfect with constant hot water when required. Breakfast was first class and topped up regularly. Staff are an asset - reception, porter, cleaning, breakfast and bar - nothing was ever an issue and all were very welcoming. The location was second to none - 2 minutes walk to St Marks Square and in the midst of bustling side streets. Couldn't have asked for much more for our first time in Venice and we will likely be back next year A****

honestly can't think of anything we didn't like or weren't happy with :)

Clean, well-located, didn’t feel busy and room amenities good. Good choice at breakfast also. No issue with staff assisting with ‘broken’ hairdryer (user error not broken). Staff assisted with information about transport to the airport.

An unpleasant smell from the street permeated the room and was quite unpleasant. In the early morning an alarm could be heard but it didn’t sound like a fire alarm. Guests had no alert from the hotel to leave their rooms (after night staff had been told smoke could be seen & smelt), no guest count check, guests assembled in the reception area and not directed to an evacuation point and little to no communication from staff (the fire/smoke was from the restaurant next door). Also, both staff and fire dept had great difficulty in turning the alarm off extending the time guests were out of their rooms.

I loved the location, the vie of the Canaletto and the fact that it was very clean.

The shower and the sink leaked all the time, making it difficult and dangerous to walk in the bathroom

First of all: The Location. Just 3' walk from San Marco. When you walk out of the hotel there are at least two or three "main", if you can say that, roads full of taverns and restaurants. My Junior suite with a canal view was majestic. I was glad they actually had a special room with facilities for people with disabilities, the bathroom had everything a disabled person needs and the room overlooking the canals was clean, light and spacious. The cleaning and breakfast serving staff was very friendly.

The breakfast was terrible. If you have the chance don't include it. The coffee was bad, the bread buns like rocks, the croissants so old they were trimming as you touched them and the apple pie had a weird taste. The receptionists were helpful and typical but they could use a smile or two. Almost all of them talked to me like they were angry at me.

Perfect location near San Marco. The room was great, and the air conditioning was fantastic.

I think the room decor could be improved as the walls are pretty blank with 1 or 2 small pictures. The breakfast was disappointing since we are allergic to dairy, and there were barely a few options (especially compared to other hotels where it is not uncommon to find vegan croissants and other accommodating options. We ended up skipping breakfast for most of our stay because of that.

The service was great, very helpful, felt really taken care of. Although our room did not exactly have a view to speak of, the space itself was pretty decent, classic, aligned with the environment in terms of style. I really loved the foyer with view on the back terrace looking out on the water, small, but just right for a late night drink. Upon arrival, there were bathrobes and a bottle of bubbles ready for us. Nice touch. Great for settling in.

Breakfast could have been better, the breakfast room feels a bit 'worn' and small, and more fresh produce would have been great. However, the staff are doing their utmost.

Great location - very central, minutes to San Marco. I was able to walk to all the sites I wanted to see. Very comfortable beds. Excellent breakfast buffet. All the staff throughout were very kind and attentive.

I didn't like the first room I was given - it was dark & awkward. When I approached the front desk to request another room (without additional expense) the gentleman was immediately on it and found me a room that I was very happy with.

Great location, San Marco Piazza, watertaxi, nice bars, restaurants and shops in the vicinity. Lovely canal view, yet surprisingly quiet. Interesting artwork decor. Especially appreciated the warm welcome with champagne and strawberries, and obliging service. Breakfast has good selection.

Room safe malfunctioned, can lock, but very difficult to reopen. Venetian blind broken, needed to be secured on one side by plastic cord. Small bathrolm has no toilet paper holder, large bathrolm has no towel hooks or rails.

Very central location close to St Mark's square, multiple restaurants and shops etc Our suite was beautiful with a view of one of the canals and a high painted ceiling above the bed. The bathroom was exceptional too. Other rooms in our booking though were very, very small and cramped. So if you can, spend the little extra and upgrade your room - it is well worth it!

Would really appreciate a small kettle and coffee/tea facilities in the rooms and please consider changing the pillows on beds, they are really like blocks of concrete (we ended up using our puffer coats in pillowcases to sleep on!)
