For us we did not want to be in the main tourist through-fair we had looked up the Ca Ricco independently and the location. We walked to the points of interest we wanted to experience and of course there a great surprises in the vicinity of the hostel of which our host advised us of. The ambient of Ca Riccio is calming, the location is authentic and how we wanted to experience being in Venice. Our room was prepared wonderfully thank you

The room exceeded our expectations, we thought it was going to be a little smaller. "For us" we don't eat out every night and tend to prep food for next day activities, Fruit, sandwiches ,cold drink etc so a slightly larger fridge would be great we did appreciate the fridge that was provided in the room.

Though we never met anyone at the reception due to our late check-in but everything was very very smooth. The room also had a private seating area. The entire place is very prettily decorated. Though a hotel, it is an old Venetian house near a canal and this is an excellent vibe. The distance to Rialto is under 7 mins and St. Mark's under 13-15 mins. The hotel is also in a very nice area with some good bars and restaurants around. There is also a laundromat nearby in case you are travelling for long. The nearest water transport stop is 400 meters away and you can also take direct boats to train station, Bus stop, Murano and Burano from there. We were also allowed to drop off our bags after check out and collect it as per our own time!

We arrived in the evening whilst the hotel was unmanned, our arrival instructions to access our room were sent to us before our arrival and were very clear and concise. We had a great room up in the attic space. Breakfasts were a treat with warm pastries offered to us as we sat down and the buffet being continuously refreshed. Our brother and sister hosts were very friendly and most helpful. The location was very good with many good restaurants within a few minutes walk.

We arrived early evening as it was getting dark and spent a good 30 minutes going round in circles trying to find the hotel, a local shop keeper explained the building number for us to be looking out for and pointed us in a general direction. It was only after following the numbers did we finally stumble across the hotel which we had passed by 3 times already. There is no hotel name but a small Trip Advisor Rating sticker on the door. Once we had found the hotel we did not have problems finding it again. Google maps led us to the correct area but we were unable to pinpoint the hotel.

A quaint and quirky hotel, with minimal interaction with the hotel staff. But they were very attentive if we did need anything, and were very friendly. The rooms are very bare minimal, with no fridge or kettle facilities. But my daughter fell ill during our stay and they gave us with a kettle and some mugs. The breakfast was also minimal, but provided everything we needed to begin our day.

The rooms and bathrooms are very outdated, the bathroom especially had broken doors on the showers, but it was still usable and clean. It was a high climb to the hotel, but I can believe that is probably quite common in hotels in Venice.

Our room was decorated bohemian, the bed was super cosy. The location was absolutely great, we could walk to everywhere in less than 15 mins. In expensive Venezia, this place seemed to be a perk. The staff was kind and absolutely helpful, they ensured we had everything we needed for breakfast and all toiletteries needed in our room.

Maybe the size of the bed was too much for the size of the room and did not give much room to walk around for two female backpackers like us. But nothing else, the bed was still cosy to sleep.

The location was great, we had many questions before our arrival and they answered all of it. The host carefully explained to us how to do self check as we advised them we are arriving late. When we arrived the had a cute decoration in the bed as it was our honeymoon. The room is vintage but very nice, comfortable and clean. We were welcomed with a mini delicious breakfast in the morning. Honestly the guy who served us was just wonderful and very helpful. We loved our stay. Grazie mille.

We liked everything.

Good location, clean and tidy rooms. We used the triple room and it was spacious. Easy check in. However post that the reception was never manned. However, it was easy to reach them and proper guidance was given for use of facilities. Shower in the bathroom could have been better. Air conditioning was slow and took time to cool the room - we were in Venice during hot summer time.

Better availability of a person to help on location. Shower should be fixed. Conditioner should also be kept as toiletries option.

Friendly staff, great location, and elegant refurbished old building. Very special place with the feel of the traditional Venice. Beautiful churches, canals, restaurants nearby. Easy walk to many places, including vaporetto stop at Rialto or to Alilaguna airport ferry at f’te Nove. I stayed 10 days.

A bit confusing to find the entrance the first time, but that’s part of being in the amazing old city.

Great location near the rialto but out of the main tourist trails. Room was clean and comfortable, especially considering the price. Good value for money.

The air conditioning was set quite warm when we arrived, and the cooling function didn't appear to work. A few lightbulbs in our room had blown, and overall the place could do with a touch of maintenance. Also, bear in mind that the staff are only at reception for a few hours during check-in in the afternoon; we had to message them to ask if we could leave luggage after check out.
