Duodo Palace Hotel

Breakfast was very good and decent selection. Location was great! A stone's throw away from many busy areas of the city. The hotel is very regal and luxurious.

Getting to and from the hotel is a little challenging. We bit the bullet on the private water taxi to the airport which was the best 150 euro ever spent. My wife had some allergies from the room as everything is very old and may be a little musky.

The room was beautiful! Quiet, warm, comfortable, with a nice view. Friendly and polite staff.

A breakfast should be better for its price.

location was brilliant, very close to the Venice Opera House. the hotel was warm and clean. all the staff were very friendly and efficient. the housekeeping were excellent as were the Breakfast team! Very elegant decor in traditional Venetian style

we had booked a suite with a balcony and canal view which were perfect. I would however have expected a better shower and more accessible electric plugs in the room for recharging phones/ laptops etc at the price we paid. everything else was good

We stayed here for two nights during our honeymoon trip to Venice, a very nice hotel with welcoming staff, perfectly located, just a few steps from main landmarks of Venice.

Cant say that there was something to dislike, however we discussed that during the breakfast it would be a really nice touch to offer little something from sea gifts that would be expected in a city that is built on water. And it doesnt mean that everything should be about fish, just something small to point out the importance of sea for this fantastic place.

The building is historic and beautiful. My room was big, with pretty much everything I needed. There are two entrances - 1 on foot and 1 by boat. lovely faded grandeur.

Only one socket, nowhere near the bed. Surely everyone’s phone is their alarm & it needs to be charged overnight? Minor point, but the hairdryer is like something from the ‘60s! Breakfast overpriced.

We chose the 'room assigned on arrival' option and it paid off as we were upgraded on arrival to a suite which was fantastic. A huge room overlooking one of the canals with a large bathroom, all very clean. Loved the sumptuous Venetian decor which was the vibe we were after. Great central location, not far from Piazza San Marco. If you have lots of baggage, for getting to the hotel from the main station would advise vaporetto line 2 (stops at far fewer stops than line 1) from Ferrovia to Rialto then walking the rest.

Staff were fabulous, room was gorgeous and the location was brilliant. Would stay here again I'm a heartbeat.

The hair dryer in the bathroom needs to be updated. And there was no iron.

The Staff was exceptional. They went beyond their duties. I had my phone stolen on coming into Venizia on the train. I had to purchase a phone and sim card the staff member helped me set it up. I liked the location but I still got lost but always found my way back. I would hire taxi next time as there was a strike going on. I loved my room it was an upgrade. My view of the canal was very nice. I like the sitting area, little bar area. As a travel and restuarante reviewer I am all about the details not only for people but my clients as well. I would have given them a 10 except for a few minor details that need addressing. I will definately return and recommend. Thank you, to the Staff, your receive a 10+.

They were exceptional! As a travel and restaurant reviewer I am all about details. I learnt a great deal after working for two five diamond hotels and as a World Traveler I have seen much. The computer, I was not able to access which was important to me as my phone was stolen on the train. The vents in the bathroom need to be cleaned and heater vents. The blow dryer was not what was expected it was not useable for long hair perfect for a man but not a woman. The towel rack was rusted in three areas, it was hard to flush the toilet. I live in Italy so I know how they work. I know with COVID-19 it is hard to maintain everything when so much income was lost. Fix these minor issues they will receive a 10.

The property was fantastically located and is incredibly nice! Customer Service was fantastic from all the receptionists but could have some work with some of the waiters for breakfast in the mornings!

Sadly the property is in a lot of need of some maintenance and investment. All baths in rooms have the ability for a hot tub function but the receptionist said this works in none of the rooms. In our room 607, we had the most incredible balcony and I could not have been happier but the curtains didn’t work nor one of the shutters. Around the property were also smaller pieces that needed upkeep!

Great location to all of Venice and the balcony room was great to watch the gondolas all day long!

Expensive for limited amenities. No in room coffee/tea. No in room glassware/cutlery, only plastic.
