This charming hotel is excellently located, Venice is a very walkable city and this gave us a great base to explore the whole city. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful and the decor is beautiful. There is also a lovely restaurant next door where we had an evening drink during our stay, it’s on the pricey end but added to our experience. A lovely square around the corner with several reasonable restaurants for breakfast and lunch within a 5 minute walk. We also took a gondola ride from the nearest station and it was a perfect mix of quiet side canals and the Grand Canal.

The room was a lot smaller than the pictures suggested so it was a little tight with two people. The main difficulty was with the two twin beds made into a double, rather than an actual double bed. I know this is pretty standard in hotels but these beds did not have any latch or way to connect the two beds so they were constantly moving apart and one of us had to get out of bed to push them back together. This was quite frustrating and not the ideal couples experience.

The only pain we experienced is unavoidable. It's not a long walk but you have to carry your luggage up and down stairs from the waterbus to the hotel.

We loved the location as it was easy to find after a day of wandering (this was no small thing in Venice). The room was very pretty and the bathroom large. The fridge was great to keep the water cool to take with us each day.

The room was at the top so was very warm all night in spite of the air con so sleeping comfortably was an issue. The shower floor was very slippery.

The location was very good. Breakfast was also. Our room was narrow, The bed had a thick semi-hard foam topper which wasn't my favorite. The sheets were not fitted sheets in our room which I didn't appreciate, but when you're tired it's acceptable.

I didn't like that the sheets were not fitted and that the foam topper was thick indicating the mattress must have been old.

Hotel is close to St Mark Square and 5min from the St Angela water boat stop. I really liked the location as we were closed to the main attractions and could easily walk around visiting. The hotel is located on a quiet street which I liked because I could get a good nights rest. The hotel was clean and comfortable. The staff was super friendly. Breakfast was simple however really good quality and delicious. I would recommend this hotel!

Slooow lift, dead mosquitos on the walls (did not notice any live ones though), door from bedroom onto landing has steps down immediately outside and bedroom door tries to push you down them as it closes quite forcefully behind you

Lovely hotel in excellent location. Our simple room ('standard double' ) was already of generous proportions, with huge bathroom. Staff friendly and welcoming. Decor very Italian/Venetian, our room had dark red and gold damask wallpaper throughout -- if you let it it can drive you mad.

Nothing. If I HAVE to say something a rubber anti-slip mat for the bath would have been good.

The hotel itself is located in a lovely, quiet nook that makes you feel away from the throngs of people and shops just a 2-minute walk away. Their website directions for getting to there from the ferry stop are spot-on (it was very easy to find) and its courtyard and patio set-up is charming; having arrived at 2pm, our room was not yet available for 3pm check-in, so it was at least nice to be able to keep our bags and have a drink right there while we waited to check in and change. Re: the room itself, we had a standard Double which was VERY basic in decor and amenities (a mini fridge was provided, but no kettle or iron/board), although the bathroom was clean/spacious. given the pricing in Venice all-around, the rate for location was more than reasonable. In terms of location, the ferry was location within a 5-minute walk, St Mark's square was also less than 10 mins away, and a whole maze of shops and eating spots were within a 5-minute walk.

I was actually very surprised by the room we got, based on the images shown for the Double room. Everything in the photos showed nicely appointed rooms with wallpaper or ornate headboards, etc. Ours was a plain, pale-yellow room with a basic brown leather-style headboard. Had I known this, I would have definitely looked for another room type at the hotel, as it looks like there are others that have a much more Venetian aesthetic and would have been worth the upgrade. Since this was the last stop on a long trip, felt a bit anticlimactic - I'd simply suggest that management review their listing on Booking.com to ensure what they're posting is accurate for each room type!
