The location was great, and the staff was amazing. Anything you needed, they went above and beyond to make a way for it to happen. The water taxi arrives to the door. The breakfast was also great. Mattia was amazing and so very kind!

The beds are not the most comfortable. The linen could use an upgrade.

Beautiful hotel in a perfect location. From booking to leaving staff went above & beyond to make our stay in Venice as perfect as could be. Marco is just amazing and made our stay extra special. Nothing was too much for him & he is an asset to the hotel - my now fiancé proposed in Venice & Marco helped him with some extra arrangements along with the manager Daniel who was also very kind to us throughout our stay & again made us feel very special. The lady at breakfast was also very kind & helpful. We had the best time in Venice & looking to return in the near future & this is definitely where I will be staying. A beautiful little gem… thanks for our stay! ❤️

Among everything else, i like especially Marco. His kindness and warm hospitality. He conjured a little magic for us. And that's how I expected to experience Venice.

Fabulous location and the best service & attention we've experienced throughout Europe. Elena and Francesca went over and above to make us comfortable. The room was quaintly Venetian and location was prime. Breakfast on the hotel's deck watching the gondolas go by was a great selling point for booking this accommodation. Highly recommend Hotel Becher for a stay in Venice. Many thanks to the lovely hosts.

We loved arriving by water taxi right up to the hotel. We loved having an evening drink on the jetty each night and being looked after by Marco, who was very attentive and helpful. Breakfast was good. All the staff were lovely and helpful. Lovely to be able yo hear the singing in the gondolas during the day. Would have been lovely to be able to make a drink in the room. The restaurant directly opposite was great. The bars are great and much cheaper. The corner pub was lovely. The bar opposite the workshop is great with lovely cicchetti.

MARCO IS THE BEST!!!!!!!!!!! This property might be listed as a 3-star however this is not a 3-star facility. The staff are delightful and will do everything to meet your needs, just ask. Again, Marco was fantastic, he only works at night, but the day staff is extremely accommodating as well. Upon our arrival, we were instructed to sit down and relax on the hotel's private canal access. He then provided us with a glass of sparkling wine, and after relaxing a bit proceeded to show us our room, and it was fantastic !! Totally exceeded our expectations. The pictures of room #203 (the green room) has two wonderful windows that open right up to the canal. This room is fantastic....what a view! Marco then proceeded to take us to Ristorante Sant'Angelo where we met the owner and were promptly seated to enjoy a wonderful meal, which we had not asked for prior to meeting him that evening. Marco also set us up for another night at a different restaurant that was just as good as the previous night. Room #203 has a private bathroom with a tub shower combination. The water pressure was fantastic with plenty of hot water. Breakfast was delicious, fresh, and plentiful with everything one needs for a proper Italian meal prior to setting off for a full day of shopping and sightseeing. The location of this property is just far enough away from the main Blvd but so close to everything you want to see in downtown Venice. Everything is a five to eight min walk. so many gondolas go by the hotel it is crazy! The Hotel is along one of the main small canals that happens to be very, very popular! Again, the location of the hotel is fantastic. The hotel is just past one of the best arch bridges going over the canal with a long slightly left curving part of the canal just past the hotel, beautiful place for pictures...Trust me, you will thank yourself for staying there! I really cannot say enough wonderful things about this hotel.

Nothing really, nitpick... More pillows. Other than that it was a fantastic stay. However, we didn't think about asking for more pillows.

We like especially the location and the jetty of the hotel, where we was sitting every afternoon to drink something and watch the gondolas. It was a very memorable moment for us what we really miss. The breakfast was very delicious. The personal is nice, but especially Mr Marco is the kindest person that I have ever met. The hotel should appreciate that they have a personal like Mr Marco.

10 out of 10! We had a lovely time at Hotel Becher! As other reviewers have noted, Marco is delightful. He greeted us with a warm reception even though we arrived quite late. The hotel is centrally located. It’s easy to reach all of the sights. Plenty of restaurants/cafes a short walk away. Breakfast was great and hotel staff was friendly and really helpful with giving advice, making arrangements, etc. Would definitely recommend and would stay again if we we return to Venice.

Someone wrote a review a few months ago calling this hotel "a hidden gem." That couldn't be more true. From beginning to end, it was an incredible experience. The hotel is intimate and gloriously Venetian, well-located in San Marco, close to cultural events and restaurants, which is an important consideration for a woman travelling solo. But the greatest asset of this hotel is the staff, who work hard to make one's stay perfect. I enjoyed them all, but want to give a special shout-out to Daniel who offered a very late check out on the day of my departure, Marco with whom I had a lovely evening conversation and glass of wine, Mattia who welcomed me on the jetty the day the water taxi picked me up from the airport, and finally Elena who helped me in so many ways, including arranging a much-needed manicure with her own aesthetician! All of them made me feel like royalty - and even better, an honourary Venetian. I can hardly wait until I can return.

This is a small thing, but the pillows are awfully hard.

Beautiful little hotel in a great location just 2 mins to St Mark's. All the staff went out of their way to ensure you had everything you could need. The hotel was immaculately clean and very comfortable. We had room 102 an adequately sized double room on the ground floor with windows right onto the canal where you could see all the gondolas passing by.....lovely
