Location with numerous restaurants outside the door. Air conditioning worked well. There was some confusion about whether breakfast was included or not; not all of their information on their paperwork, etc. jibed with what I was told. It was two bridges away from piazzale Roma, so convenient for us to wheel our luggage to catch a taxi to the airport and to our cruise terminal. it was right on a small canal, that fed into The Rio nova ( which leads out to the grand Canal. ). Very lively neighborhood. Lots of boat traffic. They also offered for a fee, a motor boat tour of the grand Canal for one hour and that was €40 a person and it was wonderful. Offered a free welcome drink or coffee.

Not that knowledgeable answering questions for tourists. Didnt know how people mover worked or how much it was. Didnt know if we could grab a white taxi to cruise terminal. Need more tourist info because, despite being a touristic city, there are very few tourist information booths throughout venice. This was quite surprising.  Also, as a heads up, Uber and Lyft do not work from the airport at Marco Polo  also. the place to grab Taxis is not well marked at the airport. Only 20 minute ride to and from airport. Maximum fee is set at 45 euros. We paid less due to no traffic. I really liked this little hotel. I think they could have a more reasonable breakfast rate.

The hotel was in a wonderful old 16th century building decorated in Venetian style. The staff were very helpful and the breakfast was exceptional including fruit, meats, eggs, veggies, croissants and other breads, buns, pastries etc. There were also a great variety of juices and coffees/teas. If eating outside, watch out for the thieving birds!!!

The only thing we didn't like was loud/noisy people coming back to their rooms very late at night/ early morning. You could not hear people in other rooms, just in the halls. However, that is likely a problem in any hotel. An extra chair in the room would have been nice. There was only 1. There was also not a lot of space to put your open luggage.

The location was very close to the bus station and train station so easy to access with luggage on departure and arrival. The staff were also amazing - really helpful and friendly especially when our flight was delayed. The small bar is also a little gem away from the business of Venice and a nice place to relax at the end of the day or to get away from the heat. The garden is also beautiful and a lovely place to have breakfast. The buffet was large and of good quality for those who want to line their stomachs ahead of sightseeing. It is not far to anywhere on foot so is a good base for seeing the city. Would highly recommend.

The check-in staff was amazing, warm and friendly. They went out of their way to make us feel welcomed. They told us of a 1 hour boat ride around Venice which was well worth the 40 euro per person fee. They also recommended a nice quiet restaurant around the corner that was un-crowded and away from the mobs of people if you have dinner along the canals.

There is a room tax that has to be paid separately. Many hotels do this when you check in or at least remind you of it when you check in. They overlooked that and we were surprised and disappointed that at 4 AM, when we were rushing to catch a bus to the Airport that we wasted a few minutes with that detail. We were going to give them high marks across the board but this experience soured us on the hotel and an otherwise enjoyable stay.

The staff were first class and very helpful and friendly. The location was excellent. The room and bathroom were really good. Traditional and cosy with a lovely garden view from our window. The shower was really powerful which we really like. We loved breakfast where there was really good coffee and lots of variety with cereal, fruits, salads, cakes and even pizza to choose from. The bar was a nice oasis of calm to go in the evening for a couple of drinks after a day's walking. Highly recommended and we are very grateful for the experience. A big thanks to the staff.

All the staff were excellent, without exception, but a big shout out to Stephan and Andrea because we had the most interaction with them. Location was excellent for Venice, catch the dedicated AVTO from Marco Polo airport to Venice, non-stop €18 return, 200m walk to the hotel. Perfect, especially as we kept bumping into other visitors trying to wheel luggage over bridges etc, trying to find their hotel, Olimpia was so easy. Room was lovely and spacious and overlooked the canal. Breakfasts were simple but lovely especially Tarte della Nonna. Breakfast service was also very attentive, grazie mille to the two ladies there also.

Absolutely nothing. There was nothing to dislike at all.

great location - convenient to the bus station and to the event we came for and also close to the center wonderfully clean, spotless really good quality bedding and towels free sparkling and natural water replaced daily a minifridge one can use for their own things a clean and calcification free tea pot excellent water temperature and pressure views onto the garden great breakfast - a beautiful space inside and possibilities to eat outside by the canal or in the garden, and lots of choices sweet and savoury (amazing apricot crostata and carrot cake) very friendly, lovely staff

it was just a bit noisy in the hallway quite early in the morning but I found earplugs for the second night and slept very well

We had stayed here before so knew the location was excellent. We got upgraded to a canal view room which had a view of canals and Piazzale Roma and you could see every form of transport. It was very lively but once the windows were shut the room was extremely quiet. It was a good size and very nicely decorated in typical Italian style. The room and bathroom were extremely clean and had everything you could need. The staff were very helpful and friendly and always acknowledged you.

Breakfast was nice but a bit limited and surprisingly the coffee wasn't very good.

Excellent staff, so helpful and friendly. Excellent breakfast, and the staff there were also friendly & efficient. Location was convenient for exploring Venice, plus good food available nearby.

The coffee from the coffee machine tasted awful to me, but other people seemed quite happy with it! On Sun 19 Feb we were walking back to the hotel at about 8.00pm and we became aware of two men following us. We nipped into the supermarket for 10 minutes, hoping we were wrong. When we came out, they carried on following us (from a distance of about 20 metres) until we went into a local restaurant for our meal. They had gone when we left the restaurant a couple of hours later. It was a bit worrying.

Wonderful, obliging staff. Everyone spoke excellent English (although I don't expect that in their own country, it makes things a lot easier for someone with as limited Italian as I have!) Really felt like we were taken care of. Nice continental breakfast buffet. Location only a few mins walk from Santa Lucia station and Piazzale Roma. We were leaving before the breakfast opened on our final day and they prepared a breakfast pack for us to take with us. Great.

The fact that I can only think of one tiny little thing shows how good our visit was. On one day when we didn't want the room servicing but hadn't put the "do not disturb" sign up, one of the housekeeping staff was struggling with taking no for an answer. This is literally my only complaint and it's nothing.
