We had a wonderful family 4 night stay here for my dad's 80th birthday, and I couldn't recommend it more highly, it is a truly special place. We arrived in the July heatwave but the rooms were perfectly air conditioned and the pool was a delight so that was no problem at all. The pool is absolutely gorgeous and overlooks the city of Verona and is surrounded by a beautiful and perfectly tended garden. Breakfast on the terrace among the lemon trees was perfect and a fantastic choice - one of the best hotel breakfasts I can remember. Staff could not have been more helpful, and we made good use of the hotel shuttle twice a day. Especial thanks to Sara, Roberto, Emmanuel and Nicola, who looked after us so well and gave us lots of tips of where to go and what to see. You need to give advance notice to order dinner (especially as we were a group of seven) but that was fine. There is a great Argentinian restaurant in walking distance (which doesn't look too special from the photographs on the website, but is actually really special) which made a good alternative. We went into Verona most evenings and got a taxi back - sometimes a 15-30 minute wait and about 12 Euros a time, but totally worth it. It is slightly a pain that hotel is so much out of town but then you wouldn't get the stunning views. Thanks Relais Fra Lorenzo, we will definitely return! xx

This is a beautiful property overlooking Verona. The morning breakfast on the lawn/terrace with "bubbles" was exceptional. The staff is very welcoming and gave good recommendations on wine at their property. The pool was a great relief from the heat with beautiful surroundings. We only wish we could have stayed longer.

They did provide a shuttle to Verona, which we did use. The taxi service in Verona, no fault to the hotel, you'll need to expect a 20-30 minute wait. Just don't be impatient, enjoy the scenery.........

The staff was lovely and definitely went above and beyond. Sara, Rober, Fabiana and all the others worked hard to help us catch an early train in the middle of the Vinitaly exhibition, which made booking a taxi impossible. We were very grateful!

The stay is a very high price to still charge for the chips and drinks from the mini fridge in the room. It’s also an inaccessible location for someone with a walking disability (it’s up a hill. they could add a golf cart service maybe?) the reception was not 24/7

Would have been nice to have a bar in the evening (description on Booking.com states bar open daily until 11pm but it wasn’t open). Description states 10 minutes to centre of Verona. That is not correct. It is a 15 minute brisk walk to Ponte Pietra on the edge of the City & a further 10 minute walk to Piazza Erbe. Further, it is a challenging walk back up hill so more elderly visitors should be made aware of this. If there was a shuttle service we were not made aware of one.

beautiful view of Verona and excellent friendly staff. the location is out of town and very peaceful, you can sit and listen to the uninterrupted bird song. if you are fit and enjoy exercise walking up the hill is no stress. Bed was so very comfortable and everything was clean and well maintained.

there is not much indoor communal space to relax. we opted for a classic room which was small for the cost, particularly the bathroom. the refreshments in the room was limited and not of high quality. the kettle lead was so short it was not safe to pour the hot water into cups.

Our suite style room had an individual entrance around the backside of the hotel, for which you had to go outside and down the stairs in order to enter the hotel. It made for difficulty accessing our other room and the breakfast area. It was winter so the grounds were fertilized with a very strong smell.

A charming hotel in a quiet and peaceful location. Tasty and fresh breakfasts. Friendly service. The view from the terrace over Verona - wonderful. Well-kept garden with a seawater swimming pool. The walk to the center of Verona took us only 15 minutes.

Getting to the property can be a challenge following GPS. Road to property very narrow. AC in room not very good. Shuttle to town could be more frequent and closer to the center. Pillows on the bed were not comfortable. They should provide daily bottled water for guests especially during this excessive heat period.

We had an amazing stay at Fra Lorenzo. The view of Verona from there is absolutely exceptional. Our room was confortable and the staff were incredibly welcoming. The pool area is unique and we enjoyed the sun and a little swim. We really recommended this place which is a little remote from the touristic center.

Very comfortable, great view over the city. Dont miss the Swimmingpool . It would be a bit of walk to the centre downhill great there is a twice daily shittle and taxi is readily available. Breakfast outside under lemon trees. The staff is very friendly and helpful
