We stayed in 3 different hotels whilst visiting the UK. Our stay at the Holiday Inn was longer than our other 2 stays combined. Holiday Inn was the cleanest with the friendliest staff and the best organized regarding breakfast. The location to grimsby down town centre was perfect and the rooms were quiet other than the squeaky floors but no external noises.The breakfasts were tasty and fresh with a good variety of options. I will stay there on my next visit

We have stayed here in a modern hotel numerous times. The staff are always friendly, helpful and efficient. Eg, we have borrowed fans on hot days in the past. This time we borrowed 2 bowls to eat strawberries that we had bought. The hotel accept pets which is key for us. We have a cute dog. Rooms are clean. The bed comfortable. Breakfasts have enough variety to satisfy most people. Car parking is an extra cost. Essential to pay each time you exit the car park. Location is very central. Right next to the railway station. Shopping centre nearby. Hotel meals are ok. Opposite hotel is Vittles. A small coffee bar serving good meals and beers. Long opening hours.

We broke down in grimsby and was stuck in the jet garage for over 5 hrs before AA told us too book a hotel through booking.com and wasnt expecting what we recieved for the 100£ we paid.. its was very clean the room was cery comfortable and thw stafd was very helpful and simperfetic to our problem but all in all we was chuffed with what we recieved and will stay again if we get strandered anytime soon Thank you to all the staff that helped us and gave us the warmest welcomebreakfast was unbelieveable and our 3 year old had a good selection 2... Recommended 100% Thanx guys

Nothing not to like

The staff were wonderful, engaging and always pleasant and smiling (I think the team must work well together). The room was clean and quiet and equipped with tea and coffee facilities. We would think about staying here again if the need arose. There is an Indian restaurant (Spice for life) across the road which was an excellent place for our evening meal, again the staff were brilliant and food really enjoyable. I do have a gripe though. Parking is something which needs resolving. After 6pm there are ‘single lines’ and you can park their for free from 6pm until 8am. The hotel parking is appalling. It says on the machine pay on exit and it is £9 for 24 hours but apparently you are charged each time you take your car out, e.g. arrive drop off your cases, go out for a meal, you are charged, come back in again to change then leave for a visit you are charged again, you are charged, come back in and stay over night you pay again…. may I suggest you find elsewhere to park, which was our solution…. Not helpful. I don’t mind paying £9 for 24 hours but that should be it?

Parking

the room was clean and tidy breakfast was nice and hot the place very clean. staff very helpfull

during our stay an altercation broke out in the main area. were a fight broke out myself and the people who we were away with were sat minding our own business we intervened and broke the fight up. i was bitten my mate was headbutted we managed to get it under control the staff sent them to there rooms and police were called. i was waken at 4.50am with police wanting an interview only had 3hrs sleep in hotel. the staff couldn't have got involved if we hadn't that could have got messy.

Staff all amazing very helpful and kind.. Food was delicious and there were great choices. Debbie in the breakfast room went above and beyond in service such a lovely helpful friendly lady. Loved the huge shower ..beds very comfortable. Exceptionally clean and well stocked room with plenty of tea coffee and milk.

No drawers at all not good for a 13 night stay ...unable to adjust air conditioning temperature

Breakfast being included in the price was good. We liked our room and the shower was amazing, plenty of hot water and space. Big bed and linen looked clean. Location is perfect for the train station and town centre.

The hot breakfast options were quite limited and the coffee from an automatic machine was not the best. Pillows were uncomfortable and the TV was not a smart TV.

Centrally located, very modern and clean. Comfortable room with a nice big shower. The key thing was the very helpful, friendly and professional staff who actually realise the need for good customer service. It was very good value for money as far as we were concerned and a full breakfast (which was very nice). We expected it to be a decent HIExp but it's better than that. Well done to the staff. It's very close to the town centre, so we walked to the 'Curious Cat' for cocktails and dinner - which we'd also recommened.

Nothing at all, only stayed 1 night but it was excellent.

charged for parking we parked for 2 hours and it was £4 then we went out for dinner and on return there were no more parking spaces however we parked in a nearby car park for free overnight and put a ticket on the car the next morning I don’t think parking should be charged for when staying in the hotel

Modern layout. Comfortable bed. Excellent breakfast (best I’ve ever had at a Holiday Inn) Very good staff. Nice bar area with decent price drinks.

Car Parking charges. We stayed 2 nights & paid £26 total ( that was 2x overnight stays & exited 2x during the day). That’s another 15% on top of the hotel costs.
