The hotel is a very short walk from the train station making the location super convenient. The self check in machine was simple and efficient to use. A bottle of water is provided upon check in. They offer all amenities in front of the elevators which is a nice touch. Bath towels are already in the room. It's totally adequate for travelers or daily sightseers.

It's advertised as breakfast included, but the meal itself was very scanty. It consisted of a tiny sandwich, 2 bites of potato salad and a 1 bite mini croissant. For the price of the room, I'd expect a little more quantity or choice.

The location was a 5-minute walk away from the train station if you don't use Google Maps (faster and safer if you cut across the bus station). We needed a room key card to use the elevators. We had 2 twin beds but it felt roomy. I loved the shower. Room came with a safe, refrigerator, complimentary continental breakfast, and complimentary amenities (scrub cloth, razor, toothbrush, comb). On the second floor were a vending machine, ice machine and laundry facility. The decor was chic and modern. Convenience store a few doors down. Tourist attractions nearby.

Check-in procedure was emailed to me but it was only in Japanese. I could not read it. The check-in scanner had trouble reading our passports. Limited English signage around the room so I had trouble understanding how to use the bathroom vent, toilet, etc.

The simple free breakfast ( coffee and sandwiches) just fitted our need as we did not eat much in the morning. The hotel was a smart style hotel that guests did their check in/out process at the self-service kiosk that avoided the queue at the reception counter. Private carpark was available but watched out for the little entrance just next to the hotel. Spare some time to pick up the car at the carpark as it was a smart multi-level automated carpark which needed a staff to operate and call your car down.

Plan ahead for your dinner at Atami cos most restaurants closed early and choices were very limited outside the station area.

As the name, it is a “Smart” inn. There are no Manuel check in service by staff, you will have to go to the machines to register your information and scan your passport. Staff would assist you to operate there machine tho. I am driving there, the car park they use is vertical parking system. A staff would open the gate for you, once you parked in the designated space and walk out, they will close the gate and move your car upwards to leave spaces for other cars. It is quick a smart design for places with limited space. The room size is normal, with very new decoration. Location wise it is next to Atami Station. Staff is nice and helpful. They helped to operate the check in machine and check out. After check in, we also hurry to the Atami fireworks and the staff teach us how to go there very patiently.

It is close to Atami Station, but it is good or bad. The bad thing is it get some noise late and in the morning, but not unacceptable. The other thing is time limit of taking car out of the vertical car park and it ends quite early (10pm).

Loved the central location which was just a couple of minutes easy walk from the Atami train station, especially as we had many luggage bags. Check in through machines was surprisingly fast and easy from the machines there. Staff were at hand to help. Loved the fast speed wifi which was accessible in both our rooms and hotel foyer. Also loved the generous work stations/ work space in the foyer with power points for charging laptops/iPads while we waited for our transport etc.

Breakfast was just light and western. Good for the price but not much choice. This is not a deal breaker though. Still excellent value.

Location wise just next to main train station. While my room was facing the train tracks (we could see the shinkansen passing), we didn't hear any noise from the room, thanks to the double windows. Room was spacious and clean. Beds were super comfy. Bathroom has a small tub.

While left luggage service is provided for early check-in, it wasn't provided for check out. We had to lock our luggages in paid lockers at the station. Breakfast was included but fairly simple (half a croque monsieur).

East exit at the station, turn left and an easy short walk past the bus station to Prince Smart. Convenience store across from the inn. Atami city's famed shotengai is across, right-turn short walk from the station. One of the most convenient located accommodation I have stayed at!! Electronic check-in and out was simple with the gentle guidance of the manager, "Arigatougozaimashita.." My room was clean, the bathroom was three parts - a separate Toto toilet, a dual-head shower with amenities and the bathroom sink table was part of the entrance. Which could be curtained off from the bedroom/living room. Headboard based light controls and phone charging ports always a plus. This is a modern, clean and conveniently located accommodation. A 20-30minute walk to Atami Sun Beach and 3-min bus ride return gives a unique understanding of how value for money this place is.

Not a negative - a simple breakfast, I chose ciabatta hot sandwich accompanied with small choco-eclair and local made greet tea came in a handy takeout bag. Interesting.

The Prince Smart Inn Atami is a very modern and well equip hotel located right next to Atami Station. It has automated check-in services, good wifi, a nice cafe, and good sized rooms with really good bathrooms. It is really clean, even by Japanese standards. Bookings include an OK free breakfast. Considering all this, I am still amazed at just how reasonable the price of this hotel was.

When we arrived, the staff member could have been more helpful when we were struggling with the automated check-in and storage facilitates.

location was really good, super near a convenience store, and the Atami train station. It was 1 of the newer hotels near the train station, we stayed for 2 nights and even though it’s a basic hotel, it was very clear and modern.

you can hear the trains in your room( which is to be expected since it’s so near the station), however, it was not very loud so it was still ok for us. window was covered by a blind which meant that light came into the room at sunrise (430am) in summer.

Breakfast is very basic. Seems every day is the same menu. It will be an issue to someone who stays longer in this hotel. Our first day experience with breakfast was not good. The staff took our order and forgot to give us the food. We waited for more than 15 mins before we could finally got our breakfast.

Hotel provides 1 bottle water at time of check in only. It is not common practice in Japan. It will be nice to provide 1 bottle water every day during the stay of the guest.
