At Manazuru Marine Hotel, we had a pleasant and surprising stay. It was pleasant due to the kindness and services provided by the hotel, with a most friendly and service-oriented attitude. This included a free shuttle connection to the local station and flexibility in changing arrangements at the hotel. Additionally, the onsen was open. The hotel recently underwent a fresh renovation, offering rooms in either Japanese or European style, with meditative views of the sea and mountains. Nearby, you can find a coastal path to the rugged seaside, and hidden in the woods, you may discover a surprising art museum. A highly recommended destination for a quiet and mindful stay!

View from the window

1) Inside of the bedside table drawer was dirty. Suggested unfinished work of the renovation. 2) Nice staff but unless you can speak Chinese, it’s a bit hard to communicate. 3) (It was a last-minute decision so i probably should’ve paid more attention to the details but) Wasn’t aware the room doesn’t come with a bathroom, which was a surprise & disappointing to find. You’d have to go to the big bath downstairs to bathe. For my standard, with the room rate, i assumed there would be one in yr room.

Dinner and breakfast excellent, based on Japanese fish cuisine Clean onsen Friendly staff Excellent panorama Interesting attractions nearby: Kazumasa painter museum, cape Manazuru, shell museum

Onsen very small Better to have your car or bike available. Not easy to reach the attractions nearby otherwise

Flexible check in, beds were good, bath was great. Nearest convenient store or supermarket was quite a distance away Good view of the cape and ocean

really need a car to get there. Buses are minimal and I ended up walking to and fro more than anything else But the town is pretty secluded so for a rural area, it is quite expected

Most friendly owner and his staff (family?) View is amazing, onsen is well taken care of and all facilities are of good quality. They just renovated the whole property which make it even better.

The sea view from the room was lovely and the public bath was very relaxing.

The price was much too high for a room without a shower/bath. The hotel was clearly very old and outdated.

Front desk is clean. Host is hospitable.

The check-in time was 3pm. We arrived there at 4pm and we were told that the room wasn't ready. Comforters have stains. Comforters have cases, therefore, comforter aren't being washed. I found hair in the sink when I first went in. Looks like it wasn't cleaned properly.
