Though just provision of self-service bread and drink for breakfast, actually it is free and already good and nice for a start of a day. The hotel location is also quite convenient and easy to access.

As understand, it is the regulation and terms for make-up and cleaning of room once per three days. However, may it be possible to be more flexible for some stays of such 5-days-4-nights to be have room cleaning in the mid time, i.e. the day after 2nd night (3rd day accounting form check-in), not on 4th day. It seems not such necesssary as to be check out next day (5th day) and the housekeeping staff to do the room make-up and cleaning then.

The room was clean and neat. It is on the smaller side although this is fairly standard in Japan. There was free breakfast provided to the right of the lobby which was coffee/tea/juice and some small breads. There were also gender separated baths available although we didn't get the time to check those out. Hakata station is very large and we ended up going the long way to the hotel the first time. We figured out that the east exit or for the subway exits east 6 or 7 were the ones closest to the hotel. It was then only a few minutes walk which was very convenient for our stay.

We did have to pay an accommodation tax of 200 yen per person per night which it would have been good to have more transparency on as we were not expecting it and were only told upon checking in. It didn't add up to much for us but with more people and longer stays it would be something to consider. None of the other 4 hotels we stayed in during our Japan trip had this accommodation tax or extra fees.

Good that hotel provided breakfast. Like it because it is simple, basic items - coffee etc provided. Locaton of hotel is within walking distance of Hakata station, so it is convenient

1. was not aware that we had to pay additional - accommodation charge per person. I booked through Booking.com. Only when I paid online, did the acknowledgement of booking indicate additional charge but i did not know what it was for, and how much to expect. Would have been better to inform of the additional charge, from the beginning when we booked. 2. not aware room rate changes daily 3. no reply from hotel when i made request for twin bed 4. no direct email communication with hotel

The free coffee machine at reception and the overall communal area. You could sit and read or eat takeaway in a comfortable setting. Breakfast was very basic but totally adequate and included in the price. The location was excellent right near Hakata station which had a large range shopping, food halls and restaurants there were more food options in the surrounding streets. They happily stored my luggage on day of arrival and departure staff were welcoming and polite.

Possibly hard to source and being bit precious but I would have loved a grain or whole meal sourdough bread option for breakfast toast. Otherwise all good.

It was my bad. I somehow booked a single room when I needed 2 beds. I started coughing, so I requested another room. They gave me a double room at a very reasonable price, they did me a favor, say, at 2:30 am.

I probably was not aware of how Spartan the hotel should be. No frills. No daily cleaning. The "self-service breakfast" basically consists of water, coffee, and "one small piece of bread per client". Hmm... It's Japan, so, you can have a special breakfast for 5 dollars or less elsewhere. If you are on a lower budget, this hotel could be the solution.

Fantastic location. About a 5 minute walk from Hakata station. There’s an entrance to the subway to the airport with escalators on the way to Hakata station and very handy with luggage. The room was typical Japanese size but very neat and clean and comfortable. Breakfast is available (breads, coffee, tea, juice) but there are convenience stores and the station nearby as well if that doesn’t interest you. We chose this because it was so close to the station. The small cafe and sitting area is really pleasant if you want to just sit, have a coffee (free) and relax. There is an onsen but unfortunately I didn’t get time to use it. This hotel is very good and we were very happy with our stay here.

I love that it’s close to Hakata train station

Google map says it’s a 2 min walk but it l’s confusing to find which way to walk going there from the Hakata Bus station. I called the staff for help but they can’t speak English. (No wifi yet that day coz of delay in the delivery of my wifi rental) A picture of the map in English should be part of the pictures in the listing so that we know at least where to walk from the different exits of the bus and train station. It’s hard to go back and forth while carrying our luggage and we are new to the place

Super convenient 5 mins walk to hakata Station. And you have so many shopping malls and restaurants near. The room is small but kept very clean. I am staying on my own which is perfectly fine. But if there are 2 person, it may be a bit cram... and bear in mind that am very small built. Nevertheless it is still super value for money and small rooms are anyways quite normal for japanese hotels.

They only clean the room every 3 or 4 days. I checked in on Tuesday and my room was cleaned on Friday. But there is change of towels every day. It will be better if cleaning can be done on alternate days.

The location is good and it is value for money. Staff was super friendly too and i love the cosy area where i can read a book after a long day. There is also coin operated washing machine and dryer on the 10th floor. Towels were provided everyday.

Could have supplied me with fresh pyjamas as I wore mine for 4 days. I expected there to be a new set of pyjamas after the cleaning on the 3rd day but only towels were supplied. Also I suggest to clean the dryer. Many people use it and there are lots of lint and wool residue that got stuck on my clothes when i use it. There is only one lift. Be aware that you may have to wait a long time if you miss your ride.

The hotel location is about 6 minutes walk from Hakata Station Chigushi Gate exit. The landmark is Miyoka Hotel Hakata. From Hakata Station subway use Exit East 7 which has an elevator(escalator) though it is narrow if you have luggage. Coffee and light refreshments is also provided. And the cost library is very relaxing.

The air condition remote control is written in Japanese. It would help if a translated English version is provided to assist in the air condition operation.
