The location was excellent. It was close to Hakata Station as well as Canal City. You can basically walk around the area and get to these locations within 10-15 minutes. Next to the hotel was Yamato Transport so you can easily send your luggage to your next hotel. There's also a 711 in the corner, a small park, and various restaurants and shops nearby.

There's no daily room service. They only clean your room after every 3 or 4 days and there's a fee in case you want it cleaned sooner. This wasn't a deal breaker for me though.

My room was very convenient for a one-night stay, it was close to the station, a ramen shop that opens 24h and a bunch of convenience stores. Everything was clean and well-organized too. Plus it’s easy to check-in and check-out so I could go anywhere.

The dust net on the ceiling of the bathroom was quite dirty so I hope they would clean it.

The location was decent as it was within 500m (5-10 min walk) from Hakata train station. The hotel also had security features (one would need to scan card key before pressing the floor number in the lift). Bottled drinking water is also appreciated.

I was taken by surprise upon check-in that I had to pay 200JPY for tax. Some other hotels did not charge (or had included this in the room rate). Sink was a little too small, so it's unavoidable that splashing takes place when washing.

Great location to Hakata station. A bit further from the city night life and restaurants, is on a smaller, quiet street. Equipped with everything you need. It is a serviceable, but not fancy, basic hotel.

The smoking room next to the lobby made the entrance-way smell very strongly of smoke. It was very off putting, but luckily the rooms did genuinely seem smoke-free.

I like the value comparing to the price that we have paid since every budget hotels has small area. It depends on how each hotels manage the usage of that small area. Hotel Halrotto has managed that quite well.

The space to lay out the baggages. The space between the walls and the bed was too small to lay out baggages. Therefore, it is quite hard to pack through out each night.

The staff were really nice. They helped us a lot. :-) We could leave the luggages there before the check-in date so that it was more convenient to travel to other places. The hotel is also close to 7-11 and Lawson and not too far from Hakata Station.

Even though the room was really clean, I think it would be better if there was a room cleaning service provided during our three-night stay.

About 10 minutes walk from Hakata station, Very Small reception area with seats for 2 people at reception.

The hotel is pretty new (opened in 2019 I think), so both the lobby, the bathroom and the room were more on the fancy/modern side. A 7 minute walk gets you to Hakata Station. You can book here at a reasonable price. I hesitated to book because there were not many pictures, so I upload my own. The bed was 140cm wide, which was really big for a single room. The best part for me was the bath, which was bigger than in similar rooms in Japan. The room itself was a standard size for Japanese hotels. It was nice as a single, but could be a bit cramped if used as a double, especially if you have a large suitcase. I loved the sleeping robe provided, it was soft and much better quality than at other hotels. Body sponge picked on the 1st floor was also much better. Because of the pandemic, they will automatically not clean your room and leave a bag with towels, sleeping robe etc. on your door handle. If you want normal cleaning, you gotta check a box at check in.

No teabags in the room, but you can pick them up on 1st floor. I couldnt sleep the 1st night because the pillow didn't suit me and there are no alternatives provided except for body towels.

Good value for money, and the staff are friendly.

Room is a bit narrow so there's barely any space to open your luggage if you're travelling with one. Also, it's advertised to be near Hakata Station, but it's still quite some distance from the station.
