The location was excellent. It was close to Hakata Station as well as Canal City. You can basically walk around the area and get to these locations within 10-15 minutes. Next to the hotel was Yamato Transport so you can easily send your luggage to your next hotel. There's also a 711 in the corner, a small park, and various restaurants and shops nearby.

There's no daily room service. They only clean your room after every 3 or 4 days and there's a fee in case you want it cleaned sooner. This wasn't a deal breaker for me though.

The staff at the counter was still present when we got there so we were helped with our room. Had an admission fee to pay before we got our keys even after paying Booking for the room so please be aware. The room was clean and organized. Can't complain about the bed either. The bathroom was fairly small but that's how most bathrooms in Japanese apartments (houses) are so I couldn't expect too much, especially for the price I paid for it. They have a small drink bar, laundry room, and smoking room by the lobby. The laundry adds detergent automatically so there's no need to buy one at the store. The drink bar serves anything coffee. The smoking room is quite small but by the time we get there, not a lot of people are smoking anyway so you could fit there easily. There's also an ice machine there and a water heater if you bought instant noodles from the convenience store, but you also have a water heater in your room as well. To add, there's a speaker, hair dryer, towels, hand towels, two cups, fabric/room spray, slippers, shampoo, conditioner, body soap, and toilet paper provided in the room. Customary for Japanese people to leave their shoes by the door hence why the room shoes are provided. There's also a mini refrigerator you can store your food in. A/C was cold enough. TV only displayed a few channels. You're also given only one card per room. You insert it on the little slot given once you open the room to activate the electricity for your room, which is pretty nifty. Also, be aware that they don't clean your room for at least 3-4 days I believe, or for the amount you're staying. They provide you with new towels and trash bags hanging by your door after 2-3 days. If your trash is getting full, just wrap it up and set it aside outside your room in the morning so they can pick it up. The hotel is conveniently a 7min walk from Hakata Station.

The room is fairly small so when opening oversized luggage, you'll have to bring it to your bed for you to be able to open it. When you're riding the taxi and you say the hotel's name, they don't know what you're talking about. Possibly because it's new. Just make sure you have your Maps ready so you can show them the address.

My room was very convenient for a one-night stay, it was close to the station, a ramen shop that opens 24h and a bunch of convenience stores. Everything was clean and well-organized too. Plus it’s easy to check-in and check-out so I could go anywhere.

The dust net on the ceiling of the bathroom was quite dirty so I hope they would clean it.

The location was decent as it was within 500m (5-10 min walk) from Hakata train station. The hotel also had security features (one would need to scan card key before pressing the floor number in the lift). Bottled drinking water is also appreciated.

I was taken by surprise upon check-in that I had to pay 200JPY for tax. Some other hotels did not charge (or had included this in the room rate). Sink was a little too small, so it's unavoidable that splashing takes place when washing.

Good price and location, central to the station and most of where we were going. Everything worked in the rooms and the staff were friendly and helpful.

No real amenities like public bath or anything, but with budget hotels that wouldn't be expected. Rooms are smallish but again with most Japan hotels this is normal.

The location was very good. A short walk to the train station and lots of good restaurants in the area. The room was clean. We were satisfied!

It was pretty small but that was to be expected. We asked the staff for an extra pillow two nights in a row but never got one.

Great location to Hakata station. A bit further from the city night life and restaurants, is on a smaller, quiet street. Equipped with everything you need. It is a serviceable, but not fancy, basic hotel.

The smoking room next to the lobby made the entrance-way smell very strongly of smoke. It was very off putting, but luckily the rooms did genuinely seem smoke-free.

I like the value comparing to the price that we have paid since every budget hotels has small area. It depends on how each hotels manage the usage of that small area. Hotel Halrotto has managed that quite well.

The space to lay out the baggages. The space between the walls and the bed was too small to lay out baggages. Therefore, it is quite hard to pack through out each night.

The rooms were clean and had all the amenities you needed. The only downside to the rooms is they were very small or bijoux. There was an ice machine which was very handy for hot days. The staff were very friendly and accomodating.

The rooms were very small.
