Everything was quaint, tidy, and so relaxing. Onsen and included breakfast was the best part!
When we made the reservation on booking.com, we were quoted 39,672 yen TOTAL for two nights. However, when we checked out, we were charged double that. Still worth it, but the app and/or business needs to update the rates so people aren’t surprised at check-out.

This place is truly a gem. The hotel it self is not very big and a bit further away from the busy “Hakodate”. But it feels very homey. Upon checking in you can enjoy free soft serve and Champagne from 3pm-10pm. The onsen opens until 4am in the morning they have i door and outdoor onsen, lobby area is very cozy, and they also small courtyard at the back for a place for you to enjoy. The have a selections of breakfast buffet, not too much bu enough to fuel you through your day. The staffs are also very nice and welcoming.

Small hotel, relaxed atmosphere, enough English is spoken, nicest and welcoming staff. Amazing breakfast, ice cream, coffee and white wine free in the lobby, all pretty good! Free parking, if you don’t have a car there is a bus nearby, It will take about 15-20mns to town. There was a ramen place across the bridge nearby. Rooms are fine, clean, spacious, quiet, good wifi. Lovely onsen too. We will definitely go back!
We wish we had dinner there, I guess you have to request way ahead.

Nice onsen and super great free flow drink and Soft cream.
Breakfast had limited food. We came as a big group of 14 pax. The hotel hasn’t provided enough food when hotel is fully booked. Chef at egg station was not nice to customer. When we come to ask for egg and sausage. He made an angry face to us and didn’t give us what we ask. He might not understand what we asked but he can make a better manner to us. The hotel doesn’t have enough pillow when we ask for the new one.

The staff were very kind and there was a self-serve ice cream machine in the lobby. The lobby is very spacious and the breakfast buffet was amazing. The hot spring was nice.
The tatami room seemed a little old, but not bad. It seems the western rooms are nicer. There is a cut off time to reserve a seat at the restaurant for dinner and sadly I missed it. However the staff kept the ice cream machine open late for me to help me out. Also, there weren't enough sheets for our futons Soni had to go get one from the front.

We were in Japan for three weeks and this was our last stop for tree days. We slept very well, best sleeps of the trip. We walked the area but I cannot say much about it because of heavy snow. We found an Aeon food market close by and the botanical garden with the hottub monkeys is also nearby. And we used taxis to go downtown to the red brick warehouse area. The onsen was nice. I liked the part that opened on an outdoor garden full of snow. The breakfast was fine. Free coffee, sparkling wine, and ice cream in the evening. We had dinner one night and it was good. The onsen is convenient to the airport and I want to mention that our meal before takeoff at the airport on the third floor was one of the best we had on our trip and reasonably priced. The staff has minimal English but we used google translate. The breakfast food was not labeled in English but had pictures that helped me guess what to take. I think it is a neighborhood bathhouse. In the evenings I saw lots of people come in in outdoor clothes, bathe, and leave. We saw no other westerners in our three days there so maybe we had an authentic experience? This is not a luxury stay but we were happy to have a relaxing stay before heading home. I hope this sounds like both an accurate and a positive report.
Bread in addition to croissants at breakfast to put the fried eggs, sausage, and beef on. The chef is really good and really cares.

It was within walking distance to some restaurants along the bay. This property has a relaxing/rest gathering area that you can sit after onsen bath to wait for your partner. The sparkling wine, soft serve & hot drinks were a nice touch. We stayed in other onsen resorts and we actually started to miss this place.
Only the direction got us to a onsen day spa with a similar name. The host had to show us where this hotel was located, which was around the back corner.

Has actual unfiltered untreated onsen into the premises. Outdoor onsen is also available. The male/female allocation of the "bath house" switches overnight, so you can enjoy both sides with one night of stay which is pretty nice. There's free ice cream and sparkling wine, the ice cream is with Hokkaido milk and is very good. The sparkling wine is pretty exceptional considering it's free. Breakfast service gives pretty decent selection, albeit the service area is kinda cramped when I went for breakfast, consider going earlier.
This is pretty out of the way though, make sure you leave enough time to travel as it takes about 30 min or so by tram from Hakodate station (which is not that close to Shin-Hakodate-Hokuto itself) Although overall it's still pretty great.

We loved the breakfast! Welcome drinks helped making the stay more enjoyable, and the onsen facilities are well-maintained. It was a quiet place and we had a restful start to our Hokkaido driving holidays. The place was close (driving) to several attractions e.g. Esan. For food options, the nearby Aeon was a place for food and supermarketing.

Dinner was exceptional and the chef was so nice and friendly. Staff was so kind and helpful and friendly.
Location is slightly far from many activities and attractions but there is a local bus stop about 4min walk away, street car about 15min walk away, and taxi ride to Hakodate Station is easy and inexpensive.
