The breakfast is one of the best I`ve ever had in 16 years in Japan. Worth to pay even just for that. Suggest the room with rotenburo.

The room was really old, with cracks in the walls, and the rotenburo tap was broken and totally dirty

The breakfast and dinner buffets were fantastic!! Staff also were exceptional and kind. The "big" onsen on the 7th floor is amazing and I loved the view from our room. The futon were more comfortable than other futons that ryoukans had provided

The onsen hours for women felt a tiny bit unfair, women could only use the nice onsen from 4am to 9:30am, and breakfast runs from 7am to 9:30, so you'd have to be good with time if you wanted to use the sauna and have the beautiful ocean view onsen. The men get to have it for all other hours...

the food and the hot spring in the room was awesome, the staff was very helpful and polite

Breakfast buffet was excellent with lots of different choices and even fresh chicken ramen, fresh sashimi and variety of fruits and yoghurt. Rooms were comfortable. Recommend ocean view for best view! Easy to get to from Hakodate on public transport although it does take a while so stay there as long as you can. Staff were very friendly and kindly helped organise a taxi to get to the train station in the early morning.

Nothing to dislike about this hotel. Highly recommend staying here if wanting an onsen onsite and good breakfast buffet.

it was traditional Japanese style .rarely foreigner. onsen is good ,but breakfast and dinner are same.staff very kind and good service-mind.

Our room was very clean and cozy. Good and spacious onsen. Super generous buffet offerings.

After arriving at the airport we tried calling the front desk to ask for directions, but the only thing they responded was “No English” which seems a bit rude, though it might not be their intentions.

Unlike many hotels of this type in Japan, that used to be grand and now are somewhat dated, this was very well upgraded. Great public spaces, public bath and restaurant. Only the room was a bit dated (except the bathroom, which was great). Also, the buffet was very good. Great ocean view from the room, baths and restaurant.

this is the second time we stayed here and we highly recommend the room with an open air bath; very relaxing and listening to the waves at night while soaking is an experience😃 the food selection is great and delicious

a shuttle bus from the airport and station would really help travellers

All staff are really kind and good service mind. They're really helpful. The room with great view. Buffet dinner is very good, many choices of foods and really tastty.

Excellent breakfast and dinner buffet. Great in room onsen with open sea view. Be note the hotel doesn’t seem to open every day though.
