the best ever buffer breakfast in my entire life after traveling 30 countries and 200 hotels. Varieties of dishes, I could feel the details and efforts of the chef and manager behind the scene, they had strong goal to deliver the best options and delicious breakfast for hotel guests instead of feed your stomach. I ensure it will be your memorable buffer breakfast in life too

Guess what? The signboard. I believe nobody will believe that what I say. This hotel has no English Name of “Prince Hotel” appeals at external building facade, we couldn’t find the hotel even we drove and stop opposite the hotel.

Location was pretty good. Convenient bus connections to Hakodate airport and city with bus stops within a couple of minutes or less on foot. Rooms are large and clean. Stayed in a sea view room with in room onsen. Water temp was perfect but the attached shower is always freezing even with the heater on. Really lived the heated towel rail and supplied amenities. Staff are great if bordering on overbearing. They are stationed all around standing rigid like soldiers so you are never sure if they are there to render assistance or stop you from stealing the fittings. Complimentary hot drinks tucked away in the corner of the lobby are welcome if you can find them. Soft drinks in onsen are nice too.

The breakfast was fair at best. Yes they had salmon roe and some other expected items but it was the lowest grade ikura with tiny eggs of inconsistent sizes. Many were hard or broken. They didn't have a toaster which was strange so all breads and pastries were stone cold. We stayed at a neighbouring property just before our 2 night stay here and paid exactly the same rate. However the other property included dinner which was exceptionally good. I wanted to like this hotel so much. Been planning this trip for at least 5 years. It was good but left feeling it could have been much more.

Our in room onsen was very spacious and could easily fit more than 2 people that are 6ft+. It was a lot more spacious and clean, more so than the surrounding hotels with in-room onsens in the surrounding neighbourhood of Yunokawa (won't name them). The hotel room was spotless and very spacious with a wide ocean view. It was a good mix between modern luxury and traditional japanese. The interior design was very warm and stylish yet maintains a hint of traditional japan houses. The flooring and walls looked luxurious. The ocean view with the snowy beach was very relaxing and made me question my existence because of how surreal it was. The tatami beds were insanely comfy. The dining hall and the food were of very high quality and had many selections - though the sashimi / sushi could improve a little bit on the dinner buffet. We understand this is not a sushi restaurant so overall it is a 10/10.

The sashimi / sushi could improve a little bit on the dinner buffet. Check-in took a while (40 minutes+) and nearly missed the sunset as it was very busy.

gorgeous luxury hotel with onsens that have ocean views. amazing buffet (don’t skip the buffet dinner or breakfast) it was unforgettable high quality food and the price point was not bad we stayed in a traditional room with ocean view and balcony rock bath. it was amazing! I wish we had stayed for another day to Truly enjoy it! private onsen balcony with water from the hot spring overlooking the ocean. it was romantic relaxing and a complete reset. I would stay again in a heartbeat. don’t hesitate to book and relax, soak, eat and enjoy! the restaurants onsite do require 24 hour notice to book reservations. the buffets do not.

nothing it was perfect

My room with private onsen was really nice and big Hotel was big and with lots of space so we very relax throughout our stay.

The carpark was not in the building itself...about 200 metres away and right by the beach. On a good day it will not be ok walking to the car. It was raining when we were there so the road leading to carpark and the carpark itself was a little muddy.because it was made of sand and gravel. No shelter at the front of the hotel making loading and unloading of luggages difficult...I got wet. The hotel facade looks dated but clean.

This probably the best hotel I have experience so far during my journey. The breakfast and dinner buffet are perfect. Every kind of Japanese food you could think of, they got it, and they all delicious. The location is good, not far from Hakodate Mountain, and right at the beach, you can take shot of the sea from inside and outside the hotel easily. You can even rent the yukata cloth and extra comfortable pillow for free. I would recommend everyone try the room with independent onsen, trust me, every buck you spent is worth it.

Parking slot is too few, I have to park to a different place which is 2m walk from hotel. It is not too far but still, they should make more parking space under the hotel area.

good breakfast selection and the onsen in the room was nice and refreshing. The free coffee machine at the lobby was excellent.

Hope they can provide trash bins along the elevator lobby . Provide better pillow at the hotel room and extra towels since you have the option to take the onsen and take a shower at a separate time. transportation going to tourist spots and to the city center was challenging .

Great rooms. I had booked a japanese style room with a private onsen and a sea view. Amazing facility. the public onsen was amazing too. I am a vegetarian. The restaurant took great care to mark out the items i could eat in the buffet for dinner and breakfast Would definitely recommend a minimum two nights stay

The hotel and room interior feels luxurious and spacious. Our hotel room (Japanese style and private onsen) had a very nice ocean view, that you can also enjoy on the ground floor and during the buffet style breakfast. So far it was our best stay in Japan. The breakfast has also English labelled information available and a good variety.

We had an en-suite onsen that had incredible views of the ocean. We found ourselves looking forward to the end of the day because we could take a dip and relax. Many of our group even woke up early to start the day with onsen as well! Highly recommend a room with the en-suite onsen.
