The breakfast spread was amazing, which was the reason why we booked this hotel in the first place. The onsen was also great, they had both indoor and outdoor baths which we enjoyed. After the baths, there is also a nice resting area for you to blow dry your hair, put your skincare and grab a quick vinegar drink (I love this drink).

The rooms were definitely underwhelming compared to the facilities. It was rather small and we couldn’t even fully open 2 large suitcases. It has a nice retro vibes with all the dark wooden furniture but you can tell it’s pretty old and under maintained.

Great breakfast buffet, relaxing rooftop hot spring with view of Mt. Hakodate. Location is conveniently located within 15 minutes walk (or 3-5 min taxi) from Hakodate Station, and is accessible by bus route as well. With its location at the mid point between Mt. Hakodate ropeway station, Hakodate Station, and only a few minutes walk from the morning market area, you’re in for a treat. La Vista Hakodate Bay was also conveniently located close to the Red Brick Warehouse shopping district.

Things nearby closed relatively early, but nonetheless was a relaxing trip!

The spa experience was beyond my expectations, neatly and well thought designed. The room's lighting and design was great.

The AC didn't work very well. After researching online, we found this was a common complaint. Opening the window seems to be the only solution. Which helped but in the morning we woke up freezing. The dinning area in the morning was overly crowded.

Location was great!

The queue for check-in in the lobby was long and there’s a huge crowd in the lobby. There were no self-check in counter available and everyone needs to wait to be served by the staffs at the reception counter. it’ll be great if the hotel can shorten guests’ check in time efficiently

good location and very nice view of both bay and mountain we can see from the room. breakfast line is wonderful, even it’s quite packed as there are not enough seats considering room and guest number for the hotel but the food variety and quality can compensate.

Our traditional Japanese room was lovely with exceptional views over the Kanemori Red Brick Warehouses and Mt Hakodate, with some views of the bay as well. Great onsen spa on the top floor. Comfortable bed.

The only negative was our room felt stuffy at night and the air conditioning only made it worse.

The hotel was old but well renovated which has a really good twist of western Japanese style. The hotel is located at a convenient spot where most of the tourist attractions are in walkable or short drive distance.

Second time we've stayed here and it was amazing. Central location a stone's throw from the red brick warehouses, very comfortable rooms, an amazing buffet breakfast and the best rooftop onsen.

Rooms are very warm and can only be cooled by open the window.
