A lovely, cosy boutique hotel. Very friendly staff with exceptional, Japanese standard hospitality. We stayed for 3 nights and the two bedroom suite was huge. There was a beautiful vacuum tube amplifier in the living room with great speakers. The hotel had a lovely collection of CDs, books and free drinks in their lobby. Our room came with breakfast and each morning we had a chef make a whole selection of either Japanese or Western inspired dishes. The hotel is very near the Jujigai tram stop and you can walk to the ropeway. All in all, an exceptional experience.

What I loved about Villa Concordia was their ambiance. It was relaxing and close to many attractions around Hakodate. If you’re an early riser, waking up to run along the pier is very beautiful. Or if you like to run hills, the trek up to Mount Hakodate isn’t far either. I loved the attention to detail the workers there have. Before the stay, I’ve had a quick chat with them and the man welcoming us into the hotel had it printed and reviewed the chat with us. There was even a welcome drink and a welcome dessert. Aside from that, all the staff was warm and welcoming. Their hospitality is something that I’ll remember for a long time. I hope I’ll be welcomed to stay the next time we are able to visit Hokkaido!

The only thing I can think of was not having key cards to get in and out of the hotel. For my last day, I woke up extra early to walk/jog before we checked out but was unable to get back inside ( I’m not sure if the staff was there, I didn’t want to wake anyone up. That’s purely on me.) until my husband opened the door. But aside from that, zero complaints!

An intimate luxury hotel with only 10 guest rooms so their service makes you feel like a VIP everyday. Conveniently located near bottom of Mt Hakodate within walking distance. Enjoyed the Omakase breakfast we never knew what we will be having and it is always a spread during our 3 nights stay there. Room was very spacious and clean, manual coffee grinder and aromatic beans provided for a different coffee experience. Lobby also provide free flow wines.

The twin room we stayed in was very comfortable and enormous, with every amenity you could think of, including a basic kitchen. We only stayed one night and didn't take full advantage of all they offered, such as happy hour. Breakfast was largely western style, with a lovely salad, soup and various breads and coffee/tea/fresh fruit juice. The staff were very helpful and friendly. We would happily stay here again.

The room we stayed in was very big and nice. The area is very quiet so we didn’t hear any noise. We enjoyed having a quiet time listening to the music, reading books that they have in the library, and having coffee, wine and the welcome desserts they prepared for us. The staffs are very friendly and nice. We’d like to stay there next time, too.

A unique experience. A welcome to be remembered, jazz music in the room with an analog amp., Terrace view, mini-fridge, outstanding service outstanding breakfast. This is a special treat for yourself. If you stay here. Don't hesitate to spend the money. We had three adults and got to roll away bed with 2 single beds and there was enough room for all of us. The hakodote mountain ropeway is in walking distance.

Diff breakfast for 2 days and personal setting. Good quality food. Free parking and very helpful staff. Love the lobby design, cosy. Room is very spacious and comfy bed. Big toilet too. Need to stay at least 2 days to enjoy this hotel. Only 10 rooms in entire hotel. So the service is very personal.

Really well located with easy walking access to the main attractions. The staff are incredibly friendly and the breakfasts were amazing. The room was very large compared to others in Japan, and the added convenience of a kitchen was really unexpected and welcome.

The breakfast was Japanese cuisine and paid separate from the room. Outstanding, Room was spacious and well furnished. Parking provided behind the hotel.

I guess my idea of a resort and spa are different from this hotel. Although a comfortable hotel with a very attentive staff I lost the resort appeal in the Japanese translation. Of course it was late in the season and the weather was poor. But a beach front it was not.
