Hotel Wing International Premium Kyoto Sanjo

The hotel is modern,clean and comfortable and in a fantastic position with easy public transport access in all directions. Breakfast was generous and tasty and the free drinks bar for soft drinks and coffee made the downstairs dining/relax area a great space. Top of my list for this place was the help of staff. We were really stuck one night trying to make a transport booking on a website and the 2 young men on the desk were amazing and helped us log on in Japanese. It also had maps and brochures to assist. In some ways it had a sort of hostel help vibe but with hotel facilities. Definitely would recommend.

The policy of only doing room service every 3 days.We were there 9 days and only had the room serviced twice. I am all in favour of saving water washing towels sheets etc, but even when I didn't want new towels and didn't request they left them. So we ended up with mountains of fresh towels and an unkempt room. It didn't make sense to us. I would rather they service the room, keeping the same linen.

The hotel is pretty spacious. We stayed in a 3 people room and we don’t feel too crowded. The hotel sends clean towel and mat every day. Also you can buy the bus one day pass at floor with credit card.

There’s a welcome drink service after breakfast time. I thought that was great and I enjoyed the service along my stay. On my last day, I kept my luggage in the hotel after checking out. When I went back to get my luggage, I tried to get a quick drink from the drink fountain. I was told by the staff that the guests who checked out cannot use the welcome drink anymore. That gives me a very stingy and bad feeling as not welcomed. The hotel save a cup of Oolung Tea but lose a customer afterwards. What is worse?

The room was big and comfortable, amazing bathroom with 3 different areas (Toilet / Sink / Shower-bath), which makes for a couple all more quick and practical. the hotel has also coin laundromats, very practical for long travelers. Don’t book the breakfast, waist of money as very little choice (no fruits, no juices, no vegetables, no cereals). The area is residential and fascinating, Sentos of the neighborhood vere nice!very close to Sanjo subway station.

Breakfast is too poor, please put at least some cereals. Depending on the members, staff is not always very polite, constantly watching you in the lobby and main areas, watching every move you do. I brought a banana for breakfast (there are no fresh fruits at all, just some little orange slices) and the staff member stared at me at the table multiple times.

Samll hotel in a quiet location but near major shopping areas, transport hubs, Gion and many temples. Nice small shops and eateries nearby. Rooms are spacious enough and the toilet combines running water for washing hands and flushing.

It would have been nice to find some brochures or maps in English.

Excellent location, close to the metro station and bus station, not to far from the train station. Simple and elegant design inside and outside. Situated in a quiet side street. Excellent and varied breakfast. Washing room and a lot of good quality amentities for free. We choosed a big room with to double bads. You need to know that these double bads in size are somewhere half way between western european and nord american simple and double size bads. I am above 190 cm high so for me it was just perfect. There are a lof of information in the lobby, the elevator and the room. We found out just on the second day of our stay that they sell 1 day tourist passes. A day before we just looked and bought the wrong one. So as a tourist just ask at the reception. They selling on the same price as the ticket selling machines. On our last day morning it was a rainy day and they just arranged for us a taxi to the train station very fast despite of the high demand. They also offer free tea,coffee and non alcoholic drink all day.

We found two inconveniences during our stay. The dining are can be very crowded in the morning. I think early in the morning they serve breakfast for some school students. I saw theme on one morning. This is way they asking your every day for your next morning breakfast exact hour. The aeration and ventilation system was very sofisticated and automatized also set to japanese language. So for as was a problem to set a the system to stop and to not intervene in unexpected moments. Also this system has a low background noise. It is not unbearable but present. In the dining area the aircon was set to a low temperature. Of course this is subjective feeling,

Great amount of space for a solo traveller. The bed was comfortable and lots of amenities were provided. The room and bathroom were very clean. The location is convenient as it's only a 5 minute walk from Sanjo station, with conbinis nearby. The neighbourhood behind the hotel is quiet with some nice cafes and restaurants if you explore. Overall, I found the hotel to be better value than I expected.

I noticed they don't store luggage. The provided toothbrush was quite small, but can't complain too much because it was free. Other than that, everything else was great.

Comfortable and spacious room, great Japanses style breakfast (personally we didn't like that type of miso soup), and super friendly staff. Hotel location is great: easy access to bus lines, and short walk from central parts of Kyoto. An extra word about the receptionist ladies' helpfulness: They helped me finding a nearby English speaking doctor, as my mosquito bite on my leg got infected. They called the clinic, which prepared for my arrival, they accepted me with no delay and gave treatment with even lower than usual visit fee. The free softdrinks were a really big plus. (

Not the hotel's fault, but some dishonest western guests misused the free softdrink machine, filling up their bottles, emptying the orange juice for others.

I loved everything about this hotel. I loved that my room was very spacious. I had enough room to leave my huge check-in luggage open. The toilet was separate from the washroom, which was nice. The washroom had a shower and a tub with very nice scents for the shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. Lighting was everything. I enjoyed myself every time I took a shower and bath. I also had a great view on the 5th floor.

The only thing that I did not like was that the bed was a bit stiff and that the air conditioner could not go lower than 23 Celsius. I wish that there were more electrical outlets.

Big rooms for a japanese city hotel that are clean and quiet. Nice staff. Free amenities, sleep wear and drinks in the ground floor. The hotel is a 5 minutes away from the subway station and in about 10-15 minutes walk you reach many restaurants and the main shopping area. You can walk to the old party of Kyoto in about 20-30 minutes. We enjoy walking because you see most of the city so this hotel had the perfect location. When we didn’t want to walk the train took you anywhere in max. 30 minutes.

The AC was either too strong or not strong enough. Bed was OK.

Nice place in the middle of Kyoto - we had a view of one of its many shrines through our window! Breakfast had a lot of variety and there were free drink refills all day (hot and cold!). Nishiki Market was only 20 minutes away (I recommend the taiyaki stall), and Sanjo station only 5 minutes, with Kyoto station easily accessible through public transport or a beautiful 45 minute walk along the river. Very roomy accommodation, with a space for chairs, and a separate shower and WC.

We found the area was a bit of a desert for food outlets, and we would have to walk 20 or 30 minutes to find somewhere to eat. Also, the hotel staff provide new towels every day which are hung outside your door, so if you forget to leave your old towels out they pile up quickly.
