The hotel has a boutique hotel feel to it. The rooms were quite spacious and well-designed. The overall ambience was luxurious without being over the top. The staff was quite helpful, especially when booking a taxi, receiving luggage, and setting up a delivery after my phone was lost (and luckily found). They have free laundry and provide free delicious croissants in the morning. I thoroughly was impressed by the value and high quality of service I received, so much so that I considered extending my stay longer (though it wasn't possible since I had to return home).

5D4N in a Japanese-style room (single) Exceptional hotel that seamlessly blends the comfort and modernity of a western hotel with traditional features you would typically find in a Japanese inn (e.g. tatami flooring). Excellent location, only a short walk away from Nishiki market and Shijo/Kawaramachi streets, providing easy connection to the rest of Kyoto via the various bus/train services passing through the area. Impressive range of amenities that you'd be hard-pressed to find in other hotels at the same price point, including a microwave, Nescafé coffee machine with capsules provided (both in your room), as well as 2 free croissants provided for each room every morning. Room was in excellent condition, feeling brand-new. Cleanliness was superb. Finally, extremely professional, warm and accommodating receptionists who do their best to make your stay a pleasant one. Special shoutout to receptionist Joyce Tan for her friendliness and 5-star recommendations! Thoroughly enjoyed my stay here, highly recommended. ~ZH
Nothing significant. Take note that your room may not have any views (mine was facing the wall of the building next door) though this wasn't an issue for me personally as the window was covered with a nice Japanese shoji.

Great location for exploring Kyoto. The main shopping district is very close and is in walking distance. There is a Lawson store just a minute walk away filled with any food/convince needs. Transportation to any main sight seeing attraction is convenient. The hotel staff were great and spoke English. They were very eager to have a conversation each time we entered. The hotel room was a good size and had all the necessary amenities.
If I had to pick one it would be the bed. It was quite firm but is normal for Japan.

This was my second stay at this property and it was just as lovely as the first visit. First and foremost, the staff are truly exceptional. I stayed in a tatami room again, and there is plenty of room for a solo traveler. The Nespresso maker and tea/water kettle are great as well as the fridge and microwave, all of which I used daily. It was extremely quiet. The washer/dryer are also great benefits.
The only minor complaint I have is that there is a scent diffuser or something extremely scented in the reception area that I didn't remember from my first visit. The scents are very overpowering and I would recommend not having any scented diffusers since I know there are a lot of us who are very sensitive to scents.

This sweet little hotel near the Nishiki market was one of our favorites in our two week journey through Japan. The staff was beyond amazing. They were so helpful, I even lost my phone inside a taxi, and they were able to help me recover it! It was waiting for me at the hotel when we got back from the shrine. The beds were super comfortable, in the area was perfect walking distance to Nishiki market. We were only in Kyoto for one day so we took the taxi to all of the major attractions in the area. It was about $15 taxi ride to each of them from this location. We asked them to call a taxi for us, and they happily organized that for us. The rest of our family stayed at another hotel down the street, if we are ever in Kyoto again, our entire family has decided they would stay in this hotel.

I loved this hotel. I’m not sure if we would have enjoyed our visit to Kyoto as much if we hadn’t stayed at Miru Kyoto Nishiki. It’s located on a narrow alley in a charming neighborhood of older buildings housing specialty stores, boutiques, restaurants, and cafes. Not far is the bustling Nishiki Market with food vendors, restaurants, and stores. The hotel itself is modern with a Japanese motif. The room was large (than most Japanese hotel rooms) with comfortable beds and a nice supply of toiletries, slippers, robes, bottled water coffee, and tea. Fresh croissants are available each morning. The staff were extremely polite, kind, and helpful. If you’re looking for a unique and charming place to stay while in Kyoto, look no further.

This is a gorgeous boutique hotel, nicely close to the Nishiki markets. The room was spacious, very clean, very comfortable and with an understated lovely design feel. The in-room coffee maker, and the croissant delivery in the morning was a very nice touch! The location of the hotel was excellent - on a quiet street, within easy walking distance of stations and various attractions. The staff were absolutely fabulous - they were so friendly and helpful, with excellent English, and did everything to make our stay as easy and comfortable as possible, including great recommendations for restaurants nearby. We had a great time in Kyoto, and will definitely stay here again! Thank you so much.

I loved everything about Miru Kyoto Nishiki! The location is great, right next to Nishiki market. There are tons of restaurants and cafes right next to the hotel. It is walking distance to many major Kyoto site-seeing spots, and close to several subway lines. The room (I stayed in a single tatami room on the fourth floor) was super comfortable and perfect for one person. The room is also pretty big and there is plenty of floor space for luggage. The bathroom was also decently-sized for Japan. I was working on vacation, so the desk in the room was great, as was the Nespresso (which is refilled daily). The Wi-Fi worked well. The staff was fantastic! I got some great local food recommendations, one of which ended up being one of my favorite meals of my trip. I went in winter and the heater worked well. The futon and pillows were very comfortable. Loved the free croissants in the morning, too.
Nothing!

The hotel is round the corner from Nishiki market so not particularly close to the main rail station but still pretty central - it’s easy walking distance from Pontocho alley and Gion and there were loads of places for food and drinks nearby. The neighbourhood is a mixture of restaurants, bars and residential properties and the staff were really helpful when we arrived later than expected and needed to track down a late night dinner! The room itself was lovely - spacious and comfortable.

Very friendly, helpful and authentic staff. Comfortable bed (if you prefer firm like I do). Complimentary water bottle in room every day. Nice smelling, aesthetically appealing room with plenty of space. Free laundry on premises. Thoughtfully curated body wash/shampoo/conditioner which was organic and smelled/felt great. Hotel located in prime location. Personal smart phone in room for direct messaging to staff.
I do wish there was a laundry drying cord in the bathroom.
